Someone who I assume was a worker just took the key from me and walked away. I was then charged for an entire extra day $40 (when I returned before the rental was even due for return) and was charged a refueling charge of $45 when I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel it was picked up at.
Courtney WThe employee incorrectly hooked up the trailer. It was not secured to the hitch. It came lose. Luckily, it occurred after we were off the mountain road or the incident could have been a fatal accident. However, I have great appreciation for the third part Uhaul dealers in Superior, Arizona who when called came out to see if they could help us without us having to wait hours for service out of Phoenix. They were able to help us get the trailer hitched up correctly, and get the emergency break back in the proper position.

Tabitha HLast friday at 3 p.m. was our time up to return our small trailer, in Yuma Az. My husband and I dropped it off at just after 8 a.m. that day. We were not given any paperwork to show we returned it. Since then, (and today is tuesday), we have had numerous calls, from u-haul looking for the trailer. They said we did NOT return it. We made alot of calls trying to figure out what happened. No one was interested in what we had to say. We felt bullied, and a bit threatened, by them.. I felt it would be simple to prove our innocense. Look at your survielance tapes. Surely you have them. We described the worker we gave it to...who should be easy enough to figure out. Male, huskey and with a large tatooe on his calve, that was working at said time and date. No one cared. We are senior citizans, and I am disabled. This is no way to treat folks. Like they are criminals. I have myself rented u-haul trucks and trailers since the 70's....I KNOW there should have been paperwork...but he said to go...he would take care of it. When my husband was again on the phone with them this morning, I had had ENOUGH! And I said loud enough for them to hear," Tell me ONE MORE TIME, WE DID NOT RETURN IT, AND I AM GOING TO MAKE A POLICE REPORT!!!. And I meant it. About an hour later, we had to go into Yuma, to shop, and we stopped by the store where we dropped it...IT'S A MIRACLE...THEY FOUND IT!!. They All of a sudden "figured out that where we picked it up, did not enter the correct numbers". Bullshit ! U-haul does not do bussiness in this manner, and I know it. I will use u-haul again, when I need to, because I am a loyal customer. Just not the store in Yuma Az. on 3rd ave.
