U-Haul, please accept this as constructive as I believe your many locations makes U-Haul potentially a good option, and a service I'll need to use in the future, but there were many inconsistencies so hopefully this will help you in evaluating your rental process from a customer perspective. I rented a car trailer online a week in advance and selected a local pick-up (Fredon, NJ) with the intention of returning it to the same location. Immediately, I rec'd a U-Haul email directing me to a different location (Hopatcong, NJ), about 25 miles away. When I called to see if it could be changed U-Haul said no, but when I recommended a closer (Franklin, NJ) dealership, they agreed, although it was still 30 minutes away. I then rec'd another U-Haul email with rental information indicating I needed to have my truck inspected for towing capability. When I called U-Haul to ask if I could have this done locally at their Fredon dealership, they agreed and also indicated that I could rent the trailer from Fredon, the location I had originally selected. When I eventually picked up the trailer, the process was OK, but before I loaded my car, I checked the trailer tire pressures, which were low by as much as 10lbs, one of the trailer lights was not working, and the tie-down ratchets were in bad shape even after I lubricated them. The trailer worked as intended, but when I went to return it, I noticed the U-Haul paperwork directed me to return it to a different location (Newton). I was familiar with this (former gas station) location and knew it would be very difficult to maneuver 40' of trailer and truck on a busy street into their very tight area. So, I called U-Haul again to ask if I could return it instead to the location I picked it up from (Fredon) and they said I had a one-way rental, although not what I selected when I reserved it but Fredon would be OK. When I returned the trailer during normal business hours, no one was there, so I simply dropped off the trailer and left. Later, I received an email U-Haul receipt that now included a "Safe tow" coverage charge of $16.00 (an option I don't recall selecting), and a $8.42 (6.3%) credit card fee charge which seems excessive. Net, net…there were rental process and location issues, potential trailer safety issues and the fees seemed a bit excessive. Hopefully this helps.

Have trucks available in multiple locations.
Richard DThe location was great. The key box was difficult to open. The app was the major problem and the many people we needed to talk to on the phone who were of little or no help. One even did not have correct information which caused a problem for us.
Richard VThe location wasn’t bad it was the UHaul app that took me 45-minutes to login to get my truck you have to have internet service for the app to work. Were are you going to get WI-Fi from so I had to keep walking around the building trying to find a single other than that everything was fine. Some problem when I dropped off the truck.
