My rental experience was awesome! The staff was very professional and friendly, explained everything for the rental. I did some of it through the app, and when sending messages through the app, I got immediate responses. This was a great experience, because moving can be difficult, but the ease of renting the cargo van was effortless. I would definitely rent from this location again!

Joesph Gemma1 - Gas mileage: when there is an inquiry about gas mileage state the estimated mileage when truck is loaded. It’s very disingenuous to convey mileage when truck is empty. It’s like if you purchase car and they only post highway mileage. 2 - listen: when picking up the truck, informed rep going out of state, approximately 500 miles. They gave me a “local” only truck with a missing right side mirror and steering with unusually high amount of play in the steering. Per U-Haul corporate customer service this is against policy. 3 - don’t lie: when arriving off-loaning destination, ask wife to call Bel Air (Emmorton) to inform them the truck is unsafe to drive and would like to change reservation to a one-way. They stated “I told your husband it’s a local truck and we need it back” - untrue. They never mentioned this to me. After they were informed I was driving to another state and 500 miles, one rep asked the other rep “why are giving him a local vehicle, it should be a one-way.” The other shrugged his shoulders and handed me the key. 4 - don’t hang up: based on the lie stated in #3, I called the Emmorton U-Haul and inquired why they lied to my wife as you never informed me that you needed the truck and back and not follow policy in providing a one-way truck? The u-haul rep stated “you need to call customer service” and hung up the phone.

William GrovePrior to our departure from picking up our rental, the check engine light was on, the truck was making VERY LOUD CLUNKING SOUNDS. I Informed office staff of my concerns regarding the truck. I was assured by staff that our truck had been recently serviced and the truck was just fine. On our way down 695 Towson in the middle of rush hour traffic, the RPMs spiked…. The acceleration pedal stopped working as if the transmission was stalling…… and we were just coasting. Definitely didn’t want to slam on your breaks in the middle of traffic on 695 . Eventually the RPMs dropped, the truck jerked, and I was able to use the acceleration pedal again. THAT was scary as hell!!!! I had my two children in there with me! Once the truck was returned, I was able to able to speak with the same clerk who initially checked us into our rental truck, regarding our unpleasant experience. The store Clerk stated that he’d pull the truck for a maintenance recheck. I was then advised to call the main number to speak with an acct agent/manager. I’m Awaiting my phone call please.

Matthew ThompsonThis location was having their employee holiday party the day of my pickup so I opted to utilize the self pickup on the uhaul website. It is a complete a disaster! The GPS wouldn't verify that i was close to the location, despite standing at the front of the building and wanted me to walk into the gated storage unit lot; this finally was fixed by refreshing my GPS multiple times. Then I was prompted to verify my identity by taking photos of my drivers license and myself, however the website would appear to bug out and I was prompted 3 additional times to take additional photos. After a few minutes the website prompted to put in an additional phone number to verify my identity, so I put in my wife's phone number. The website refreshes once more and asks for a phone number again, I put in my wife's number and it states that I can't use the number as the one used for the appointment; through human error or a glitch on the website, the phone numbers were changed. Thankfully, my brother in law was there to help with the move, so I put in his phone number into the website and he immediately gets a phone call from a uhaul representative to verify my identity. After the phone call, I check the website and it states that all of the errors that I encountered were from the uhaul employee that called my brother in law. After returning the uhaul truck, the bill was significantly more than I was quoted. To top it all off, my wife started receiving SCAM calls from various fake organizations asking for ME a day after her number was changed on the uhaul the reservation. I urge everyone NOT to use the website nor the Uhaul app for truck rentals. The location itself is great and the employees are friendly; this is just a hub for uhaul to park their trucks and make you use their junk website and sell your information to scam companies.

The environment is amazing, the woman there is such a sweetheart, she does her job fast and efficiently I’ve been there 3 times this year and I surely do recommend people to go here because the workers there are awesome and the woman there surely knows how to put a smile on peoples faces, she made me happy and feel great about the rates of the truck I was renting and she helped explain things to me and she just has the best attitude ever and I left there with a smile. I wish I knew her name because I would honestly give her all the credit for why I will always choose this location over any other location and I’m just glad I made the right choice by going the “Your Space Storage In Bel Air, MD”. And everyone in there are amazing, everyone will greet you once you walk in the doors and it’s just nice to see that there are still so many nice people in this world.

John McDonoughThe gentleman that helped me initially at the storage place was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. But, the truck broke down on me and trying to get assistance was like pulling teeth. No one seemed to know what to do and it resulted in me being stuck on the side of the road for 3 1/2 hours while I tried to get ahold of someone who could actually help me. When I called back to the location I rented the truck from, he was mad he didn't have the truck for a busy weekend instead of apologizing about renting me a truck that was clearly not maintained very well.

The whole process took me over an hour to pick up U-Haul in morning because their website keep crashing in the middle of the process. Lost valuable moving time because of this.

Melissa WaltersI think letting people know up front prior to "checking in" for pickup that they'll need to scan in pictures of their drivers license would be helpful, as I had to do it while at the pickup location and it's hard enough to get a clear pic on a cell phone, much less outside at a U-Haul pickup site. Also, I needed to have someone texted/called as a verification since it was prior to opening, thankfully my wife was available...otherwise, that could have been troublesome. I had no idea that would be needed. Other than that, the process was smooth and relatively simple.
