Scheduled two weeks in advance fir pickup on 12-28 at 9 am. Received email confirmation. Checked in in advance. Upon arrival was told to come back at 10 am. Poor Service. Did not even apologize. Called U-Haul customer Service but waited on hold for 30-40 min. Even was hung up on at one time. U-Haul is a portly run company with low class pickup sites and no professional oversight. Next time I will rent from another company like Enterprise but not U-Haul!!!

Terrible customer service! I reserved a cargo van from Uhaul and was guaranteed that it would be available. This is the only reason that I chose this location and decided to reserve through Uhaul instead of a competitor. When I arrived at Xpress Food Mart, there was no cargo van on site. All that was available were Uhaul trucks which had a higher rental price and cost per mile. The store representative was rude and dismissive and made what should have been a simple transport into a very frustrating experience. As someone who has used Uhaul many times in the past, I don't know whether I would continue using Uhaul in the future. Extremely disappointing!

The store called and asked me to come later than my reservation and then asked me to return it earlier than it was supposed to be returned. I said no to both and they acted like I was inconvenient. They were rude and the store was in a very unsafe location. I didn't register for it to be there but was somehow rerouted to pick up there. This resulted in me being late and driving more then anticipated, losing me time and I was unable to finish my move in the time left. If I were routed to this location again I would just cancel in the future

My whole experience with this UHAUL rental was poor to terrible. 1. I originally went on-line to rent a 15' truck for a one day rental with pickup at the new facility on Heron Drive in Swedesboro NJ. That went well. Four days prior to pickup, I had a change of plans that required adding a second day to my rental. I personally went to the Heron Drive facility, as it is close to my home, and spoke to the representative about the change. She told me the truck was available for a second day and that pickup would be available at the Swedesboro location. She hand wrote the change on the original contract that I had brought with me and said that it was sufficient. 2. Morning of scheduled pickup I get an email from UHAUL stating that my rental truck is ready for pickup in Woodlyne NJ, 25 miles from my home in the opposite direction of my use. I called the Swedesboro facility about the email and they blamed it on scheduling department but couldn't guarantee me a truck from the Swedesboro site. They provided a phone number for me to call, it went directly to the Woodlyne Foodmart where I was schedule to pickup. The guy was unsympathetic and only asked if I wanted to cancel, but I didn't because I needed a truck. I asked for the scheduling number to call, which he gave me, rang for 5 minutes then eventually connected me back to the Woodlyn person, who again asked if I wanted to cancel. I determined I would have to go to Woodlyn to get the truck. 3.The Woodlyn facility is a little Food Mart, the representative was pleasant and got me through the registration fairly quickly. I asked if I could park my vehicle in his lot for a few hours until my wife finished work, he wouldn't allow me to park in the lot but allowed me to park around the side of the building near the trash dumpster. The original person, who was taking me to Swedesboro for pickup wasn't able to go to Woodlyne for time restraints with his job. 4. The truck I received had not be clean out from the previous renters as there were soda and juice bottles on the floor, one was leaking contents that had attracted flies and knats, there was a container of some sort of dipping sauce on the floor with no lid that made the cab smell. The passenger door had damage that made it difficult to open, I mentioned that to the representative, and he just waved me on. I ordered and paid for 6 blankets and it only contained 5. It only had 1/2 tank of gas, now I only had to return it with the same amount, but I have never rented anything that ever had less than a full tank. 5. Returning the truck, I was unable to get a final bill because they were unable to determine what my mileage charge was because they couldn't find my out mileage. I had to return home and call them with the out mileage from the reservation contract, so they email the final bill to me. In summary the whole rental was a fiasco. The change in pickup location added about 50 miles to my rental mile charges. The trunk was filthy to the point I had to spend time cleaning it out before I made the move. I would recommend revisiting some of the places you allow to do business as UHAUL agents, I do not think the Woodlyn location is a good representative. I don't plan on renting from UHAUL ever again.

Using UHaul was an absolutely awful experience. Nothing is clear or easy to understand when trying to reserve a vehicle. Moreover, both the pickup and drop off locations were changed at the last minute and without notifying me.

I was not given an option for insurance, they just charged me 14 dollars and then two five dollar fees for I don't know what? I only had the truck for 3 hours and put six miles on it and a 19.95 truck became 53 dollars! That makes no sense and I'll be looking elsewhere if I need a truck again!!

When I arrive to my original location my truck was not there even though I had a reservation. They made me drive 40 minutes to this location. The helpers I had helping me move our furniture had to wait an extra hour and a half since we were so late and needed to go to another location. As I arrive the original man that did not speak English said the truck was not there. Another man helped us and got us all set up. Very disappointed in Uhaul. Why have a reservation if my truck was not there? I had to pay my helpers additional money as they sat waiting for us and made my trip hours longer than expected.

I reserved my U-Haul the day before for 24 hours. I get to the location and they tell me that I can't have it for 24hrs and can only have it for 6,when I asked why they told me that ,”that's how they do it.” I showed the my confirmation number and for 24 hrs and the guy shrugged and said I can only have it until 9:30pm that same day. Mind you I'm moving my whole house. He takes my license and credit card and started me a whole new time slot and reservation and charged me for insurance and other things without asking me,and the total came out to $241 even though I was quoted $86 online. When he gave me the key I asked for the paperwork to Mark the damages seen in the truck,and he tells me there's nothing wrong with the truck,so o go out to look and it has damaged EVERYWHERE! I go back into the store and bring him back out and show him all these damages and he shrugs and says “Okay your good” I ended up not being able to do all that I could because of the time limit. When I brought the truck back it was a little under 76,000 ,mind you I didn't even do 10miles in the damn thing, and a different guy goes out to check the mileage and told me that I went over 122,000 miles! So explained to him that that's impossible and when I went outside to see what he meant,he was looking at the mileage in Kn. I highly am disappointed U-Haul has an contract with them because they are NOT professionals at all. After handing the keys back he said “I thought it says here that you are keeping it for 24hrs what happened?” At that point I just wanted to get out the store because that was ridiculous. I'm NEVER coming here again!

Despite setting the reservation up online ahead of time, I was still sitting around waiting for it to process and approve me. Seat cover on the driver's side was damaged, and the person inside the store, who I shouldn't have had to have contact with in the first place because the whole reason I did a pick up using my phone was because I wanted to avoid being in contact with people because of covid-19, was rude and unhelpful. This was a negative experience overall.

I was disappointed to have a $14 safe charge applied to my rental. I had rejected the option in my reservation, so was not looking for that charge when I picked up the rental as reserved. Unfortunately only when I went to check out after using the truck did I realize it had been added at the time of pick up.

Originally booked this truck to be picked up In Sewell,NJ which is where I live but after I booked the truck the online check-in told me I had to pick the truck up in wynewood,NJ about 12 miles from my house. That was only the start of this horrible experience once I got to the (xpressmart) and received my truck there was clear damage on the driver side of the truck once I got in the truck it smelled like cigarettes and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in god knows how long. There was actually still ash in the ashtray in the middle of The truck and sticky liquid on seats and floors. After I was done hauling my things to my new house I go to return the truck in the morning I get there not only upset that I have to pay $30 in over mileage fees since the pickup spot was changed after I booked But the same gentlemen that went over the truck With me 24 hours prior accused me of damaging the truck pointing out the same clear damage we Both seen 24 hours ago. He then told me” I won't get charged for it “ I then get an email w an attachment showing an accident report from 9:00 am that morning. It was insurance fraud to the max and hopefully this doesn't continue. The gentleman at the xpressmart in woodlynne,NJ should have legal action takin against Him for what he did to me and probably will continue to do to Other customers.

My contract showed the gas at 3/4 full, but the dashboard showed clearly less than 3/4 full, which the U-Haul representative acknowledged but was unwilling to adjust. Very disappointing. Therefore I lost money on the gas, since I had to return it at the 3/4 level.

They don't have a big enough lot for this many trucks. I was stuck in the middle of the street while they played Tetris with the trucks and then asked me to back it in which I can't do. While I was getting honked at. It was frustrating all around.
