I wil never use U-Haul again because of the individuals at the Xpress Mart. Misleading info., pricing mishaps and rude woman who works the counter. Very unhelpful. Also, the 800# customer service is awful.

I completed the online registration process before arriving. It still took a long time to get the rental started.

The man at the counter didn't understand me or didn't care to try and double charged me after I told him I already checked in online he took my lisense and credit card and charged me again. Then blamed me when I told him he wasn't listening. Over all terrible experience and this isn't my 3rd time renting with uhaul.

He stated that I needed to give him my credit card so he can charge my card for insurance . I will never use this location . Gracias

stainrook B.The truck was lightly sweeped out, not clean but not dirty. It smelled like manure was in it. The van dashboard kept flashing check oil and air was needed in tire. When i went to pick up truck there was difficulty understanding his English and he still wanted to run my debit card when the truck was paid ahead. It was only after he checked his computer he saw I was correct and didn't charge me. It's the first time I used this location because it was closer to my home. The actual place I booked had to send me to them because the truck was not available due to stolen catalic converter. Neither is where I usually rent from with no problem. I will not be using them again.

Carmen C.Uhaul allowed multiple reservations for the same vehicle. System froze and wouldn't allow us to complete which put us behind. This was after we had gone to a previous location with a confirmed reservation and were told there weren't any, given a number to call, which did not answer and were rerouted to another person who couldn't help. Completely disorganized. Will be trying to get the $50 guaranteed if reservation is not available as promised.

Stating my credit card didn't have a sufficient amount available when I know it did. I even called the card in the store to hear the available credit. It wasn't until I refused to use my debit that they accepted the credit card. They also charge me for smart move after I stated I didn't want smart move. When I asked for a refund for the smart move I was told no I would have to contact uhaul because he not refunded from his location. I would never recommend anyone to use this location. Very unprofessional and rude!

I didn't have to do anything, which was amazing since I had been moving furniture all day! She was very nice and very helpful!

Robert V.The car smelled like somebody had smoked 300 cigars inside. Very dirty when we got it. I understand people are reckless when using rentals which is not Uhaul's fault but we legit got a headache after spending 10 minutes inside the van. Better maintenance of the vehicles inside would go a long way in terms of customer satisfaction. Overall, it got the job done and we will be using Uhaul again in the future whenever we are in need again.

I made the 24/7 reservation and showed up at 7am like reserved and was treated like I was the largest inconvenience and personally offensive to the lady who "helped" me. It took a male showing up and offering to help to facilitate the transaction. I don't think I've ever had a customer service experience so poor before.
ALISON D.The size truck I reserved wasn't returned before I arrived so I could not do the contactless checkout and return through the U-Haul app. So when I needed to go inside to resolve it, the agent canceled my original reservation and gave me a larger truck at a higher price (after first saying it would be the same price). Then when I declined the additional insurance on the kiosk, he canceled it and added it back without me knowing. The entire rental cost me twice as much as it should have.
Richard B.The truck is run down, transmission skips and engine redlines. The employees were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I received several threats to have the rental reported stolen due to keeping it an additional day, even though I called to inform them I was keeping it. The wrong card was on file causing a payment declination but i told them I would transfer funds to ensure payment. Even after the payment was processed I was still receiving calls. Will NEVER USE THIS FACILITY AGAIN!
Kendale C.I had a horrendous experience. I doubt anyone will even read this but here goes. I went to the address on my confirmation email. They had no record of my reservation. The woman at the counter was beyond rude and even though I showed her the confirmation email and confirmation text, refused to give me the van I had rented BECAUSE IT WAS RESERVED FOR SOMEONE THE FOLLOWING MORNING. So to reiterate, I, a person, confirmation in hand, was standing in front of her and she refused to rent me the vehicle because it was reserved for someone else. She sent me to another location, telling me she had moved my reservation there. I went to the second location, and they had no record of me. I had to BEG them to let me borrow a different sized vehicle. I incurred extra costs because the second location was further and therefore I racked up extra miles, plus extra gas. I didn't get an apology or explanation for why my confirmed reservation was lost. So you win, uhaul, you got an extra 14 miles out of my journey. I hope you enjoy it. Capitalism sucks.
Alessandra L.We we're assisted by someone who was affiliated with the store hosting the U-Haul services, but apparently not in charge of the kiosk/process itself. She informed us that we would have to return our rental 12 hours earlier than our allotted rental time (24hrs), or we would be charged again for a full day's usage. Luckily, a quick call to customer service (they we're extremely helpful) cleared up our situation for us, though it seems like the location is still trying to double charge me after I returned the rental. Currently waiting on the pending charges to either drop or carry through before calling customer service again. The equipment we used, however, was fantastic. Excellently maintained, clean and easy to use. I know it's not likely to be feasible, but having some sort of official supervisor for this particular location may be necessary, as it would seem that some amount of dubious customer service is going on.

MICHAEL M.Scheduled two weeks in advance fir pickup on 12-28 at 9 am. Received email confirmation. Checked in in advance. Upon arrival was told to come back at 10 am. Poor Service. Did not even apologize. Called U-Haul customer Service but waited on hold for 30-40 min. Even was hung up on at one time. U-Haul is a portly run company with low class pickup sites and no professional oversight. Next time I will rent from another company like Enterprise but not U-Haul!!!

kimberle M.Terrible customer service! I reserved a cargo van from Uhaul and was guaranteed that it would be available. This is the only reason that I chose this location and decided to reserve through Uhaul instead of a competitor. When I arrived at Xpress Food Mart, there was no cargo van on site. All that was available were Uhaul trucks which had a higher rental price and cost per mile. The store representative was rude and dismissive and made what should have been a simple transport into a very frustrating experience. As someone who has used Uhaul many times in the past, I don't know whether I would continue using Uhaul in the future. Extremely disappointing!

I said no to both and they acted like I was inconvenient. They were rude and the store was in a very unsafe location. I didn't register for it to be there but was somehow rerouted to pick up there. This resulted in me being late and driving more then anticipated, losing me time and I was unable to finish my move in the time left. If I were routed to this location again I would just cancel in the future

denzel W.My whole experience with this UHAUL rental was poor to terrible. 1. I originally went on-line to rent a 15' truck for a one day rental with pickup at the new facility on Heron Drive in Swedesboro NJ. That went well. Four days prior to pickup, I had a change of plans that required adding a second day to my rental. I personally went to the Heron Drive facility, as it is close to my home, and spoke to the representative about the change. She told me the truck was available for a second day and that pickup would be available at the Swedesboro location. She hand wrote the change on the original contract that I had brought with me and said that it was sufficient. 2. Morning of scheduled pickup I get an email from UHAUL stating that my rental truck is ready for pickup in Woodlyne NJ, 25 miles from my home in the opposite direction of my use. I called the Swedesboro facility about the email and they blamed it on scheduling department but couldn't guarantee me a truck from the Swedesboro site. They provided a phone number for me to call, it went directly to the Woodlyne Foodmart where I was schedule to pickup. The guy was unsympathetic and only asked if I wanted to cancel, but I didn't because I needed a truck. I asked for the scheduling number to call, which he gave me, rang for 5 minutes then eventually connected me back to the Woodlyn person, who again asked if I wanted to cancel. I determined I would have to go to Woodlyn to get the truck. 3.The Woodlyn facility is a little Food Mart, the representative was pleasant and got me through the registration fairly quickly. I asked if I could park my vehicle in his lot for a few hours until my wife finished work, he wouldn't allow me to park in the lot but allowed me to park around the side of the building near the trash dumpster. The original person, who was taking me to Swedesboro for pickup wasn't able to go to Woodlyne for time restraints with his job. 4. The truck I received had not be clean out from the previous renters as there were soda and juice bottles on the floor, one was leaking contents that had attracted flies and knats, there was a container of some sort of dipping sauce on the floor with no lid that made the cab smell. The passenger door had damage that made it difficult to open, I mentioned that to the representative, and he just waved me on. I ordered and paid for 6 blankets and it only contained 5. It only had 1/2 tank of gas, now I only had to return it with the same amount, but I have never rented anything that ever had less than a full tank. 5. Returning the truck, I was unable to get a final bill because they were unable to determine what my mileage charge was because they couldn't find my out mileage. I had to return home and call them with the out mileage from the reservation contract, so they email the final bill to me. In summary the whole rental was a fiasco. The change in pickup location added about 50 miles to my rental mile charges. The trunk was filthy to the point I had to spend time cleaning it out before I made the move. I would recommend revisiting some of the places you allow to do business as UHAUL agents, I do not think the Woodlyn location is a good representative. I don't plan on renting from UHAUL ever again.
Bret M.Using UHaul was an absolutely awful experience. Nothing is clear or easy to understand when trying to reserve a vehicle. Moreover, both the pickup and drop off locations were changed at the last minute and without notifying me.
