John HThe boxes themselves were good. As for customer service I wish there was a way to leave negative stars. Pick up time window was more of a suggestion than the actual time window. Arrived hours before scheduled causing me to have to abandon roughly $500-$600 of my property behind. Was told arrival facility was a secure facility. It was not. The garage where the boxes sat told me I had a balance and the customer service number said I didn't. So I got to argue as the middle man for two departments in U-Haul. Was told I had 24 access to my boxes that was not true. Only access if I made an appointment and paid the disputed balance in full. I know because I accessed my boxes and when i left with a load they were then parked in the garage. Was told to speak to Christopher at the facility. The facility said there is no Christopher. Could on talk to John and Rusty. Boxes at the facility were stacked half hazardly. At angles that looked unsafe not flush as they should be. Was assured manager would contact me about my grievances and haven't not heard a word back since. Still waiting for a call I believe I will never receive. If I ever move again and have to choose between U-Haul and throwing everything away I'd choose to throw it all away than deal with this level of incompetence again.
Luke TI'd try not to bother customers asking the same information over and over again. I uploaded the address on the website a couple of times, and gave the same info over the phone twice more. Finally, I understand the convenience of uploading pictures, but please keep in mind that many people move to places they have never been before, so it's impossible to upload pictures as we are moving at the same time you're delivering the box. I think you should make exceptions when the customer is giving you the right address without a doubt. Also, are three pictures really necessary? Why is three mandatory? I uploaded two and almost didn't get the delivery on time. I know someone who simply downloaded pictures from Google, not even the right ones, and still got his stuff. Everything else was good and I am satisfied.
rafael oEverything ran smoothly except for the app. The app is absolutely awful and glitched on me multiple times throughout the pick up and drop off scenarios. It malfunctioned with the pick up so I had to go inside anyway. It malfunctioned with the drop off and I had to call customer service since the app wasn't working.

Lee IOn September 14, 2023 a Uhaul agent contacted me and stated the Ubox will be delivered to my home on September 16, 2023 between 8 am and 8:30 am. Then, they changed it to September 18 between 8 and 8:30 am. The Ubox arrived after 2 pm on September 18, 2023. I'm extremely disappointed and had to cancel my appointments for that day. This is very poor customer service and I should be reimbursed some of the fee due to Uhaul's mistake. Also, one of my items were damaged and had to be trashed.

Allison BWe are a military family who has used uhaul exclusively over the last 20 years for our many moves across the U.S. We were very disappointed that uhaul "sells" mover help but then does no coordination with the moving companies it "partners" with to locate ubox, ensure the delivery timing and actually manage the movers that the customer scheduled. The website makes it sound like the customer can book the ubox and the movers and then set up a time to deliver/offload and all planning is complete. In reality; there is no coordination between uhaul and the movers and it's up to the customer to reach out and manage the timing, including delays, and the scheduling of the movers even after all the booking and payment is complete. Uhaul should make it known to the customer that it is the customer's responsibility to manage all aspects of logistics with the moving company that the customer books and that uhaul does nothing to support the customer in this regard. I had to call and reschedule multiple times because of delays of my ubox delivery and the company that was offloading had no idea the ubox was delayed-uhaul doesn't notify them at all of delays or even when the ubox has arrived. This business model is horrible for both the customer and the moving companies. Uhaul should stick to renting trucks and containers and not pretend they have all inclusive service with moving companies because they don't. It's completely disjointed and only added additional stress to an already stressful process. I will not book uhaul services again after this experience.

Cheryl PWilly's Hot Shot was great every part of working with them was a breeze. Once the U-Boxes left them and were in Uhauls hands it became a nightmare. The online system did not give any accurate information, I didn't have access to my pick up date for when the U-Boxes would be picked up once empty, and I could not change this date that I already didn't know. The local offices either couldn't help or would not pick up the phone at all. The 1-800 number customer service was completely unhelpful, though I think that is a structure is not their fault, and finally the local person who finally set up the pick up time and date for me was rude, yelled over me as I tried to speak, and talked to me like I was an idiot. Overall, the neighborhood dealer I worked with was great, but if it is up to me I will never use U-haul again and I will make sure no one I know does either.

Wilson WThe location is in a ridiculous spot to try to maneuver and pull onto the main road. The truck had a check engine light on when I rented it and screamed when I would turn the steering wheel or try to brake. Unacceptable to rent one with an issue. Great way to screw someone with the insurance part and needing a tow.

DAVID CI had not been informed of the drop off locations hours and was just given paperwork advising me to call before dropping off. I did attempt to call prior to dropping off, however, I sat on hold for greater than fifteen minutes with no pick up from a representative. I actually arrived at the location and found other individuals waiting for someone to arrive so they could return their Uhaul truck. I was informed by one of the individuals that there was an option to use an app or website to conduct drop offs. No one had ever informed me of this option.
Johnnie GLocation was not open the day after July 4th, my day for pick-up. It took an hour to get someone in the office to get our rental from them.
