The truck smelled like cigarettes and sweat - maybe deodorize it or put air fresheners in it? Windshield could have been cleaner - I spent a few extra minutes cleaning that up inside and out when I filled the tank. Aside from that, the truck ran fine and worked well. Your answer options for "was the equipment clean and well maintained?" should have more than 'yes' and 'no'......maybe an in between like 'sort of'.Greg T.

Do a walk around the vehicle with the customer. We did our own and discovered tail light broken. Also tell the customer the starting mileage! We did a key drop off and the young lady had no access to get that key! And would of been unable to close out the rental if we had not taken a picture of our ending mileage. We scheduled and booked a location closer to the house. They did call and we had to drive 17 minutes further to a different location. And dropping off at a different location was going to be another charge. Not convenient but the process was easy.Dean C.

Yes and no. We drove 600 miles and all was fine. Our return day was Monday 10/5. We got to a storage site which was too small and had to find another. At 9:00am we received a call from someone named Corey telling us the truck had to be returned at 9:00 am? Told him no one said that we had to. He said when we signed the contract we agreed. No where could I find that stated on any of the paperwork as we did all on line. We did not need that added stress. We got the truck returned at 11:00am. The girl that met us was fine and said no problem. Very pleasant about the whole incident. Corey needs to read a book on customer service!William S.

Everyone was super friendly!! This alone was good enough to make me a repeat customer. I rented a cargo van. The tank was full, van was clean and appeared well maintained. One of the biggest things I was thrilled about was no stale smoke smell in the van. I had rented previously From another location and the smell was horrible, I actually stopped and bought air fresheners.stacy B.

Schedule a drop off in Hinkley Ohio 2 months ahead online. When we dropped off we found the location closed on a Saturday. Online U-Haul did not inform us that this location was closed on Saturday's. Found another location willing to accept the drop off even though they did not normally take pull behind trailer. This new location was so helpful and understanding. Thumbs down to online communication. Thumbs up to the Strongsville drop off.Ben B.

Had a noon reservation for mobile check in. Arrived and van was parked way back on lot. (Not even visible until I drove way back on property). Key was not available. Had to go to office and note in door stated they were out to lunch. I called a provided phone number at 12:01 and he said they would be back in two minutes. Didn't arrive back until 1223. What the representive quoted and what i was charge was not accurate. I feel I was cheated out of roughly $24. You can stick the original contract and change the terms at drop off. I have filed a claim.KEEON G.

Online chat wasn't good, talking with several people with long delays between responses. Using phone to reserve or pick up is misleading in many ways, and took much longer than just going inside to initiate transaction.Brian K.

The man who checked us out at this location was rude and failed to explain anything to us. We were told we had unlimited miles and that was not the case when we turned the U-Haul back in. We were very disappointed in this experience and will never rent a U-Haul again, we will be taking our business else where.Tyler R.

I rented a van to move furniture. There was hay in the back of the van and it smelled like a farm. Additionally, I booked two furniture dolly's with my online reservation. The person who took care of my reservation in person, did not know what a furniture dolly was. When I described it, I was informed they only had one. When I returned the van. I asked he make sure the furniture dolly was not included. He assured me this was already taken off the bill. When asking for the receipt, I was told that management does not do paper receipts, and I will be getting an electronic receipt by email. I received the electronic receipt and it showed a charge for 2 furniture dollies. I reached out to the store multiple times over the past week to have this charge removed, and they never responded. I strongly suggest renting elsewhere.Greg N.
