I was not aware of the new after hours drop off process. I would suggest explaining to customer there are steps to take before you leave the vehicle. I was under the impression that you drop off the key and you’re all set. Later when I read my email it said to share location, take photos, or there’s a $20 charge for employee to check it in the next day.

The west cost employee did not help me at all. And she was very rude to me. And she try to rent me the truck work no insurance before I brought it up to her and ask her I need an insurance before I rent the van. She was not helping me in other issue at all.

I was a victim of fraud and customer service has not followed up after I put in a complaint. I understand it was a holiday, but their response was not what they said they would do instead sending out a copy of my initial contract as if to say they don't wish to believe me. Not nice.

When returning the truck it requested I turn on location services on my phone and while I did that your website wouldn't accept it. Other than that super easy scheduling a rental and picking it up! Thank you.

Fix the app. It doesn't work. We couldn't use it to check in and it said there was a server error when we tried to return the truck, after entering all of the information. It is crap. Stop marketing it or fix it.

My only complaint is every time I rent a Uhaul (Any location) the vehicle comes absolutely filthy dirty, and empty of gas. This time was no exception, the windows & mirrors were so filthy I could not see, & the gas light was on, because it was so low on fuel. I had to immediatly get gas & clean windows & mirrors before going anywhere. The inside was dirty as well. All that said, the service was great!

worst customer service on the planet. NO one answers phones, ever. Website to cancel was down for two days. Sad, sad, sad. They dont have anyone manning the phones or working inside at the Alameda location. Never again.

Truck I rented had fuel gauge at empty. In all the years I have rented vehicles this is the first time I was given a vehicle with the gauge on empty. I immediately informed the rental clerk of the situation. When returning the vehicle I was given a credit for the fuel I put in (had a copy of the receipt). Location fine, empty gas gauge not fine.

Online experience was terrible. You really need to do something about that. I wasted 3 hours on the 27th night. And, I've been charged $10 for CDW when I CLEARLY said I don't want it.

I reserved my uhual online and was set up to do a self service rental. I even received a confirmation email saying my reservation had been received. I planned my move according to my reservation. When I went to pick up my rental I fouND out the truck had not been set up for me to take it. After a few frustrating phone call's I was able to pick up my truck. I understand situation's arise buthe the uhual employee I spoke to, Marlon, was extremely rude and unsympathetic to my already stressful move.

Endless computer problems, took over 40 minutes to check in, and then the day after, needed to actually call Chase bank on a conference call with the location to figure out how to process the payment. I will probably never rent from U-haul ever again.

The woman working the office was very pleasant, however, the van she first gave me was filled with dirt and her response was, "Oh sorry, I haven't had time to clean it since it was brought in yesterday!" She gave me a different slightly less dirty van. When I brought the van back she was at lunch and no one was there to check me in. She had not given me all of the paper work that I apparently should have received so that I could use the drop box. I left the van and went to another stop while waiting for her to return.

The actual self-service option was not helpful at all and not customer friendly. Arrived at the location at exactly 8 am and my online portal said there was an error in my reservation. I called Kam at the 24 Hour number twice with no answer and no call back. Luckily Jose came to work early and was able to fix the problem for me and got me out of the lot by 8:30 am. When I returned the U-Haul, the online check-in service was again very difficult to use and not customer friendly. Once again Jose was able to straighten out the errors on my online portal. I would give Jose an excellent rating, however since the self-service was not helpful, I rated my entire experience as above average. If it weren't for Jose, I probably would not use this service again nor recommend to friends/family.

The person who helped me with my reservation both on the phone and in person was excellent. My experience was positive thanks to him. No comment on improvement just wanted to single out the person I dealt with.

The reservation we made was cancelled because we didn't come at 9am which was our time. I have two problems with this. 1) When we called prior to making the reservation, we were told to make it earlier if we weren't sure. Nothing was said about cancelling it if we were a couple of hours past the estimated time. 2) It was just cancelled without any warning or notification. You could have emailed, called, or texted that we have 30 minutes until losing our reservation...you did none of that. Why? Well, you had the information, you have the technology, you have the staff. I guess that means you just didn't care if you pulled our reservation and we would show up thinking we had a vehicle but did not. The ONLY thing that saved the day was the attendant at the facility. He made stellar efforts to help us out. Essentially, he provided the customer service you chose not to provide. You owe him a gratitude for stepping up and getting the job done.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. He quickly set up a pick-up and explain to me what to do. He asks about my project and gives some advice about what I can do. I will definitely visit this location in my future project and be very happy to recommend this service

I was charged for gas when I brought the truck back full, The young man who checked in the truck suspected someone of siphoning gas from the truck I rented as well as another on the lot. I have not received a refund yet for this. I sent picture I took of the dashboard showing miles and gas gauge as well as receipt for the gas. - Still waiting on the $58 credit Scott

Dirty inside, and odor inside, bock door got stock. I was not able to close it my furniture got wet. Really bad experience.

The service was excellent, as always. My only complaint is that I had originally booked a one-way trip but when I arrived to the pick-up location they told me this location did not offer the one-way option. I ended up having to pay more money for the extra miles and gas for bringing it back. Other than that issue I had no problems.

I ordered blankets and a dolly for the move but I didn't realize they would not be on the truck so I left without them. I would prefer it if the person behind the desk pointed them out to me, "You can get your dolly and blankets right over there" or got my attention if I walked out of the office without them.

Lights didn't work in the truck, which is great to discover st night. I was then overcharged by hundreds of dollars, then charged again for the actual amount when they realized their mistake. Supposedly refunded for the first charge but i am still waiting on the refund. Horrible experience. Next time I move I plan on going elsewhere with my business.

This van was perfect for moving my son out of his dorm. Quick, easy, and efficient. I plan to use it again when moving him back in the dorm in the fall. Thank you for great customer service, a new van that was easy to operate, and for making it so easy.
