UHaul stored my Uboxes at the wrong location and then said they wouldn't deliver them because they were too far away. After 10 days of spending every day on the phone, UHaul agreed to deliver them on a Friday at 3. I took off work. I hired movers. The boxes never showed up. No one called. They were finally delivered 3 days later. And now I'm still being charged storage fees. I've lost A LOT of money and time and had my family sleeping on a floor for days because no one at UHaul was willing to fix the problem they caused. I will never use UHaul again.

Moving is so stressful and trying to coordinate everything adds to the stress. I would suggest that if we are told we will be contacted with a window of pickup/delivery, that actually happens the night before with a contact with an updated ETA on the day of. I was told I would have a window to work with and was never given one, making it difficult to orchestrate packing/loading. However, the Newburgh location was helpful in problem solving.

Disappointed with my stay, the code that was set up for me never worked. Every time I went to get something from my unit the door was broken and had to use the smaller door in front that can't be held open. Was never told my 10x10 unit had a steel beam about 3 to 4 feet in from the door which made it very difficult to put my property in and out of the unit.

It was an average experience overall. There was never any physical presence during the entire rental. In short, we never met one U-Haul representative during the entire rental period at this facility. Additionally, the sliding doors did not work on our final day so any movement of goods were via the door entrance. Further, only two carts were available.....and we were the only tenants there! Finally, the monthly cost was high enough but the fact that U-Haul would not pro-rate the final month when we moved out permanently on 2/12/21 is unconscionable! How dare U-Haul charge a full month's rent is beyond me! Hopefully, we will not require a storage facility again but if we do U-Haul will not be our first choice!

Aside for a few hiccups in the beginning with the system not registering my code and not having proper access to my storage, once the issue was corrected my experience was good. The facility is clean and easily accessible which facilitated my move with peace and comfort.

It was clean and well lit, however, super inconvenient with the doors (not being able to stay open when transporting items in and out, and the stairs... not convenient either. Also, I was charged for a month I will not use as I left the day before the new month started, but trying to get reimbursed proved to be a nightmare. After calling U-Haul twice, being on hold at least thirty minutes each time, i was told to go to the store. I did, they told me to speak with the manager, tried getting ahold of him and he was unavailable. Had to go to the store a second time after someone from U-Haul told me to go to check out and then speak with him there. Of course he wasn't there. Over priced, not convenient, and won't be recommending their storage. The U-Haul moving process (minus storage) however, continues to be great!

So far I'm not impressed. My access code doesn't work at all. I was given the U-haul "facilities" code to get into the building. However that means that my unit sets the alarm off when I go into it. Also not so sure how happy I am that I was given a facilities code. How many other people now have a code that allows them into the building where an alarm can go off and nothing happens?

Very frustrating experience. The office location isn't onsite and there's no contact number, so we had to drive back and forth to the office down the road to troubleshoot our issues getting into the unit. I tried calling the number listed at the storage facility and it goes to U-Hauls central line, who could do nothing to help. Might not seem like a big deal, but after having storage there two months they still never figured out how to get us an entrance code into the building. Had to drive to the office any time we wanted to access the unit, wait in line, explain our problem again, and wait while they tried to figure it out. Every time they told us our code would work by the time we got back to the storage unit...if this happens to you make them give you a temporary code upfront. If possible, I recommend having someone stay at the unit and someone go to the office so you can troubleshoot live and don't leave until you have your problem resolved. If you have movers coming, give yourself at least an hour buffer to figure out how to access your unit We filled our unit and needed another one and went across the parking lot to Extra Space and it was super easy. Office is onsite, our code worked, got the size unit we needed. We were in a unit within 10 minutes of walking into the office. Wish we had done that to start

Clean place, reasonable price but again... cannot use my passcode. So every time i go i have to call yet again and have them tell me to use the generic code to get in since clearly there's an issue fixing mine. There are no elevators Inside which is inconvenient and no ability to have the doors stay open when moving stuff in. So long term definitely not going with this place.

Everything was great on my move-in. I worked with both Isaiah and Joseph -- I showed up at kind of the last minute (my trailer rental was almost up) and was rushed after a fairly hectic and emotional couple of days. Isaiah was extremely patient, and was showing Joseph the process while dealing with a (probably less minor than I would have hoped) temper tantrum on my part. He took good care of me, and I couldn't have finished out my day successfully without his help. THANK YOU ISAIAH!!!

We came to retrieve our stuff and found a lock on our door. Luckily we had come when the office was open so we could go get a key - no on told us, no one explained to us what had happened, and when we called to two numbers listed no-one called us back. The bathroom had a leak and water came into my unit.. I wasn't even notified and some of my items had water damage. The old manager, when I first got my unit was incredibly rude. Your prices are higher than the place across the street.

What kind of storage facility has people move into a second floor with no elevator. Please notify people because if We did not have a hand trick we would have been OUT OF LUCK.

I had made a reservation online for a 10x5 storage unit while reserving a truck. In my U-Haul account the reservation showed for a 10x5 unit at this location (south road Poughkeepsie,NY), and showed a contract number. I was told that when I go to the unit center I would check in at the office and they would give me my unit number and access code. When I show up at the storage center, there is no office there, so I call and get connected to the Poughkeepsie office (which is at another location). They tell me that there is no reservation under my name, phone number, or the contract number that was showing on my reservation in my account. I was then told that I can go there and get a unit. I explained to the woman that I was with movers that I had hired paying them by the hour, and if they could do it over the phone. I was told I had to go in to the store/office. So more time wasted, I proceed to the store and was able to get a unit. I was told there were no more 10x5 units, only 10x10. I said okay just to get something being I had the movers waiting. I was asked if I wanted the first level, it would be $10 extra. I said okay being there was still much to do, thinking this would save a little bit of time. I get my unit number and access code and go. When I arrive back at the unit center the access code doesn't work and I am on hold again for another 15 minutes. Finally got in, only to find out that not only was my unit NOT on the first level, it was at the complete opposite end of the building from the unloading area. I immediately called U-Haul again, put on hold again for several minutes, asking if they could switch my unit to a lower level being that was what I requested. When calling the local store it transfers over to the 800 number. I am finally able to speak with someone who tells me she doesn't know why that happened and was calling the Poughkeepsie store to see what could be done. She comes back on the line and tells me she also couldn't get anyone to answer the phone so sent a message to them to call me to resolve the problem. I have yet to hear from them. I feel that for all the trouble and inconvenience caused to me, my hired movers, and my family, not to mention the the additional expenses caused by U-Haul's errors for the additional mileage and gas on the rental truck, plus the extra costs to the movers for losing at least an hour trying to straighten this out, I should be compensated in some way. I have rented U-Haul trucks several times in the past few years, so I am not a first time customer. If I am not compensated in some way I feel worth it, I will happily move my items out of the storage unit and go to another business. Also in the future I would not only discontinue my business with U-Haul, I would definitely not recommend U-Haul to anyone whether in person or online reviews.

I will rent storage through your app anytime, but NEVER will I set foot in one of your u-haul truck facilities. Worst service ever, and they wore no masks.

I booked a U-Haul truck 26 footer a month in advance and 48 hours before I was to move the truck was unavailable. The only one was in Middletown by. We were suppose to move one way. We had to drive from Yonkers to Middletown, Middletown to Yonkers, Yonkers to Poughkeepsie. When we arrived to the storage facility, it was self storage. No one told me that. We had to drive to the local U-Haul to get access. In addition instead of booking just one room for our items, I was given three separate units. One was upstairs with no elevator and ai have a heart condition. Last, this should be under my husbands name not mine, as it is on his card. I have used U-Haul my whole life. Although this was clearly a systematic issue and I was given a free rental day and an extra 100 miles plus free storage for a month m, it still is grossly unprofessional and as a result I will no longer use U-Haul. I am closing on a house this week and needed the storage not the headache. I am very disappointed with this move, especially when I tried to plan this a month in advance.

The manager did not respond to phone calls or the security system on site. I didn't feel comfortable continuing to rent the space or move my things into the unit since the manager would not respond to my calls and the UHAUL STORE said they could not contact the manager also (He didnot respond to their phone calls also). I ended the contract and remove the lock and still have not heard back from UHAUL confirming my move out of the unit.

I booked online a 5x5x8 unit At $64.95per month . When I arrived the guy Tells me that they were over booked and the only unit available was 10x10 at 169.95. I had driven 3.5 hrs to move the stuff out of college dorm due to virus. I couldn't bring it home as I had too much stuff. So basically the manager bait and switched me. If I don't get the unit for a lower price per month I will be bringing this to the NY attorney general as a price gouging scheme which I think it is

The manager at the facility was not understanding of my need to have access to my belonging during my financial crisis. They insisted on receiving payment a full payment when I only had half for the moment. Either the policy needs to be changed or the manager needs sensitivity training. I was disappointed in the managers decision where as with another storage facility where I stored my belongings went up and beyond to support me.

My access code did not work. I called approximately five times, and about 2.5 hours later someone finally got back to me, to help me gain access to my storage unit. Since there is a second level, there should most definitely be an elevator in this facility.

To be honest, my reservation process was a nightmare, filled with misinformation.. It was not until Lyrssa Vitti came in as the new manager of the Poughkeepsie location that everything starting falling into place. She is extremely efficient, pleasant and totally on top of things. She stayed in touch with me throughout the process and made sure everything was being done properly.
