Customer service was very friendly and accommodating
FRANCIS SMy first time Renting anything was really easy straight forward workers in the office and outside are great. I had one issue was the app to submit photos of the vehicle for the pre inspection I think this should be done by the company… as a customer I shouldn't be having to verify there's no damage before I take off in the vehicle.. and the app didn't work and timed out before I could even submit the photos… also the gas at 3/4 full doesn't make sense for a customer the tank should be topped off so when I leave I put the appropriate about of fuel in the tank that used the 3/4 tank leaves room for a customer to over fill and spend More than they used. Seems scammy other then those two things it was a great experience and the workers are very helpful

The driver had to give the job to another driver and she told me that was what was happening. The bolts on her loader tires were loose,which would be a safety Hazzard of course.

MANUEL AMy truck dashboard lights went out periodically while on the road - a day time rental it's no issue, but a night time rental would be impacted. The desk staff is very professional and friendly as well as helpful and the mobile pick up worked well.
JEFFREY HMy contents miraculously arrived safely. It looked like the box had been carelessly handled as the contents, albeit strapped and well protected by me, had been shuffled as if the box had been turned upside down!

This is yet another correction to their records regarding my 3 U-Boxes, 2 of which were dropped and substantially damaged while being STORED in their warehouse. I have hundreds of dollars of damage, flight costs, vehicle rental costs, and now am spending HOURS putting together the various claim forms for insurance. I am a VERY unhappy customer.

I'm really tired of this never-ending drama that started with their negligence. Howard DI had to rent a van ($183 for 2 days) to remove my items, including DAMAGED items because this location dropped two of my U-Boxes. I had to fly back to Seattle, pay for the van, pay late fees on the monthly rent for the damaged boxes. I've had no assistance of any kind, no grace or adjustments on costs. I've not been given accurate information on what actually happened. Now I am spending the better part of 2 weeks unpacking my u-boxes, opening every box and documenting all the breakage and damage, which is substantial. Those u-boxes were packed with the understanding they would be safe and ready to be shipped. Now I'm spending more time and money to repack and move those items.

justin iIt was hard to drive in as there was equipment both in the incoming and outgoing lanes. Somebody came out an unhooked the trailer but did not say anything to me. I went inside and stood in line to check the trailer back in. After standing in line for about 5 minutes, the same guy came in and asked me if I needed something else and I told him I was just trying to check the trailer in. He said there was nothing I needed to do. Would've been nice if the actually communicated that with me outside instead of watching me walk inside.
MATTHEW BI noticed that the location in Surprise AZ was less than a mile from my home, so I called to have me come there to get the belongings. I asked 3 times to the gal on the phone the location as she kept saying the Bell Rd address. I said I physically saw that it was down the road from there and she said no it's not. So I went to the address that she assured it was at.... And got directed to the location that I mentioned to her. That was the only hiccup in the entire process. Thanks for a wonderful experience with peace of mind.

Sara NEight days before my scheduled move, I reserved a truck at a Uhaul location just 3 minutes from my house. Received a text at 8:00PM the night before my move advising of a location change and that I needed to pick up my truck at this location - 20 minutes from my house. (Had to send late email notifying the 14 people helping me to arrive an hour later!). Arrived at Uhaul and was told truck had no gas because it was siphoned the night before. Waited for staff to go to the gas station with their 5-gallon gas can, so we would have enough to get to a gas station. However, as we were driving out of parking lot, noticed gas pouring from underneath truck... the gas tank had been punctured the night before. I appreciate that the staff spent 20 minutes trying to find a truck at a different location. (She didn't give up!) She then discovered that a "stolen" truck returned to their location had just been cleared by the police department. She assigned us that truck - which still didn't have much gas. We had to stop at the gas station for that one too. All-in-all, it took 1 1/2 hours to pick up the truck and get back to the group waiting to help me move. Very frustrating! Obviously this Uhaul location needs better security controls in place. I also think a better communication policy should be implemented when switching a pick-up location - especially when it's the night before a scheduled move After hours, there is no way to get a hold of anyone to find out why the switch. (Maybe they had a different truck size that still would have worked for me??) When I finally did reach someone the morning of my move, they were very "unhelpful" and made it sound like it was my problem. She said the new location was only 4 miles from my house. That doesn't matter when it involves major highways and traffic flows that turn those 4 miles into a 23-minute commute.

YAQUBA JI'm grateful for U-Haul and their policies to help those who've been struggling with life. Unlike another well known brand whose name I will not mention but it's a public known company. I am grateful for U-Haul grace on my behalf and I would recommend the Lynnwood branch to all my friends, and colleagues.

(Nothing changed so not sure why it wouldn't open) we had to pay a locksmith $100 to come cut it off which did not seem fair at all. Not sure it the combo locks are faulty or what happened. Also the employee never told me to check out or I'd be locked out. This was my first storage unit and I was not given any details about checking in and out.

Lisa was kind enough to Apologize about what had happened which she was at the Property at the time. For the amount I was paying and how the lot was for each vehicle to park it is not organized. I found a brand new, much nicer and more convenient Storage unit for less monthly, but the same space I had at Uhaul which makes me so glad to leave this place. I wouldn't recommend this location (North Lynnwood) to anyone because the Staff needs better communication and friendliness. Other than the Staff, it is a great place to have a Storage Unit. The main issue was Staff are parking in the spots that are made for Customers only. Which is not good Customer Service. In the end, I'm done at this Storage place and for possibly giving future recommendations for Storage here, I most likely won't have good reasons to give. Gracias por tu tiempo.

I reserved it weeks in advance, only to find upon arrival, that they only had two 5x10 units available. This was the website glitching, not the management of this site. The spacing is inadequate for our needs. We have no alternative, so will make do as best we can. I suggest UHaul develop some sort of high rise kits to allow customers to utilize at least part of the "air" space in these small units - like a storage bunkbed platform. I am disappointed in that the smaller spaces will not accommodate our furniture. I have no way to put the height of the unit to use. Despite that, the staff at this site were wonderful and helpful.

Dealing with contracts takes quite a a bit of time so the wait could be lengthy even for more minor matters. Cameron L | Overall ExperienceSo I have had the storage unit for about 5 years now. I was moving out of the storage unit 11/24 when I arrive to the facility and all the parking spots were taken up. The parking spots for cars and also the parking spot for larger trucks(where you can load and unload your items conveniently) were all being used. I was not expecting that it would be busy the day after Thanksgiving but I was wrong. The truck loading area had 3 spots for larger trucks. 2 of the spots were taken up by Uhaul trucks but with that being said there was 2 Uhaul trucks backed in to the spot back to back So the there was actually 4 Uhaul trucks in 2 of the parking spots that were for larger loading jobs out of the 3 spots that they have available. The third spot had a car in it. Let me say first I was in a Penske 12ft truck not because I wanted to use Penske but Uhaul didn't have any vans available for rent so I went to Penske because they did, just to find out day of move that they did not have the smaller van that I originally wanted so they offered a truck at a discounted rate when compared with Uhaul at that time was cheaper. - I Digress With no where to park we parked in what I would think was a Uhaul spot for trucks that are waiting to be rented and no one to ask I walked in to the shop and ask someone behind the desk ( there were at least 3 people behind the desk at this time- 2 of them were helping people.) where should I park this 12ft truck to load my items. I was told at this time to park next to the fire hydrant which was closer to loading spots but it would of been in the way of other trucks and cars coming in so we just parked in the spot where we originally parked and went along with emptying the storage unit. There was plenty of trolleys to use so three of my friends and myself grabbed them and was able to empty storage unit with in minutes, and I go into store to tell them I'm moving out. Which was easy and fast, but while I wait for my receipt I over hear a customer stating her concerns that why isn't there any parking at this time. I hear this older lady say she lives in a 500 hundred square ft in law suite and this storage unit is where she places all her extra items and that she had been here for years and that she has never had a problem getting parking. ( I have also been here for years and also have never had a problem) I then hear the staff member behind the desk state " management has told us to park in the parking spots and if the space was needed they were told to then move their(staff members) cars." When I walked into the shop originally looking for parking not one person that sat behind the desk offered to move their car but I was shown somewhere else to park by staff member which i felt was not a safe place to park. I felt for this lady and her legitimate concerns. I also felt that they could have noticed this lady having to use the ramp with all her items managing her stuff going down the hill and at that time move their car then but nothing was done on their part. Turns out they were not busy they just limited where people who have units can park to one which was inconvenient to the one person who was there to use it at that time. I was able to manage moving my items but I also had help from friends this lady was by herself. I don't understand why Uhaul even had 4 Uhaul trucks sitting there not being used with one loading lane which that lady was using, and staff were taking up the other parking spots , But hey I'm not meant to understand everything. Storage unit was always easy to use, clean, well lighted I always felt safe using it. Had limited interaction with staff members so I can't really say a-lot about that, besides yesterday's encounter.

She had no record of this and now I'm receiving a move in survey so we are very concerned that our belongings were removed. We will be there as soon as we can to remove our belongings.

Anyways, the staff member was nice and offered me two storage units of a smaller size, but this was not feasible with my furniture shapes. They were not helpful in providing alternative solutions outside of this, and seems quite confused about the process overall. Possible that they were a new employee, though they didn't say so. I ended up securing a unit with a different storage facility. But what's most frustrating is that I was driving a U-Haul truck so I was paying for gas. I wish there were a sort of reimbursement or consolation for folks whose reservations aren't honored day-of.

Some of the staff would take the time to come and ask customers in line if they had a reservation or needing packaging or other materials. I observed these staff members working together as a team; which helped the customer experience better service. I also observed the staff asking questions if they needed help serving their customers. I felt that the respect the staff showed to each other, reflected back to the customers.

I have used them twice now, and the service was excellent both times. The staff weren't afraid to ask questions to their peers, and it was good to see the staffing working together as a team. I also recommend you book what you need in advance, the early morning line is usually long, and sometimes they run out of what you want!

Theres a large sign saying 1 month free when you rent a truck, one employee told me yes it was fine if I had a uhaul from another facility, another employee told me no and there was no manager on site. Next I parked my car when trying to unload and the male employee, long hair, wearing a cowboy hat told me A BLACK WOMAN, "don't park here, because monkey see monkey do". When I told him that maybe he shouldn't call black women monkeys, he just laughed. Awful experience and I won't be using this storage much longer.

Tasia G | First Impressions1. Long wait in lines 2. Ordered a large storage unit went to the unit after loading carts and going up to 3rd floor and it was already rented to someone. Then was given 2 small units not next to each other because they didn't have anymore Large units (but at least same hall) but the 2 small ones isn't even the same size of the large put together (I measured) Had to wait in another long line again btw. While Kaine the "owner" was helping me, someone else came and told the same guy who made the mistake to help me because Kaine was desperately needed. But I didn't want the help of the guy who made the mistake. No remorse either by him but he's probably right about it being the computer. Oh and one of the lady workers was being disrespectful to the manager in front of customers. I don't know what happened before but when I came in it was a lil tense and now uncomfortable for everyone who heard and saw the ordeal 3. Went in to tell them I can't fit my stuff as I originally ordered a large and Philip (I think was his name) was not helpful as he was the one that made the mistake by giving me someone's else's unit. I told him I need another unit and I would like it free of charge (I thought it was fair given the situation but I admit it was asking a bit much especially with this staff) He told me he gave me 2 units free as if he was doing me a favor so I just asked for a manager 4. Kaine was definitely helpful giving me the 3rd free and being kind but I can tell he's way over his head there and I think he just needs training to manage his team and store better. It looks like this location threw these untrained employees there and said "good luck figuring things out" 臘♂️ Anyways I was able to finally leave, after returning the truck (after waiting in another line of course) 4 hours later (wasn't all their fault as I had to load a 20" truck but the lines and giving me wrong unit and then 3 different units not next to each other but close didn't help) I'm done
Mason F | First ImpressionsI was rented a unit that was already occupied. I had help to move things into storage; however, when we came to the storage unit was locked and the office was closed. We ha e to keep the truck for another day and I have no help to put things into storage! I am 70 years old and how can they expect a disabled senior be left with no help and the wrong storage unit!?

alma l | First ImpressionsTo claim to be a climate-controlled facility and it was 82° in the facility was a bit much. Made being there miserable. The prices continuously hiked, it got so expensive I had to move to a different storage company.
Laura P | Overall ExperienceEven as I am typing this, I am standing at the uhaul on 145th and highway 99 in Lynwood Wa. It is 10:45 , one employee, 16 people in line. Philip was rude racist. One of the problems was there was no communication between the employees. Alex set us up after Philip jerked us around. Two tour 65 yr old veteran. Someone please call me. (316)992-8033
Alfred L | First ImpressionsAbsolute nightmare experience here. Came to load a U-Box container after spending 2+ hours loading it in 90 degrees and driving almost an hour to get there. When we arrived, we were told "their warehouse was closed" so we could not access the UBox, but we were there 2 hours before closing. Absolutely NOWHERE is it posted that their warehouse closes at 5. I checked all emails, google, uhaul websites, even my contract. When the GM was contacted, he in a matter of seconds basically said "too bad" and there was nothing they could do. Ended up needing to leave the truck there overnight and return (almost an hour away) to load it into the ubox the next day. Had to rehire help to come again a second day (after paying an hour the day prior just trying to get this situation resolved - none of which was spent unloading the truck). Then drive to return my truck, then BACK to Lynwood store (in a $75 Uber) then drive my car BACK to the city where the truck was picked up. Because this was yet another way they were unable to remedy this. Not to mention it's Mother's Day. I've now spent 4 hours today finishing up a job that could've very easily been done in the hour we wasted in the store yesterday being told there was nothing that could be done. Overall, this costed me 2 additional hours of help ($100), a $75 Uber, and roughly $20 in additional gas making additional trips to Lynnwoood and back from seattle - so a little over $200. Not to mention the additional 4 hours spent finishing this up on Mother's Day. Kaine did the best he could with the situation but this was abismal. Uhaul needs to make this right. Or at least make your "warehouse hours" visible somewhere if they are different from your store. And communicate with your customers paying you over $1000 what time they are able to use your services.
