Just get that Penske, because they are PREDATORY! Long review alert: I booked to move a couch from Jackson to Oxford. There was a deal offered that made it cheaper to just bring the Uhaul back to Jackson, so that's what I did. I specifically asked the employee at the desk how much it would be per EXTRA mile I used because I knew my trip would require more than that. She tells me 20 cents very emphatically! First of all, the Uhaul had less than a quarter tank of gas in it and we had to put $90 worth of gas in it and had put an additional $30 in to return it and were STILL charged a gas fee! Anyway, I do my moving, drop off the UHaul, and receive a receipt with an ADDITIONAL charge of $198! I'm floored to see that it is actually $1/mile over the allotted miles! I call the location the next day to figure it out and get forwarded to the regional office. I speak to another person that morning and they say it was 20 cents and were going to give me a refund until they see the contract said $1, so she just files it with the general manager and forwards me to her phone. I tell the general manager the situation after my fiance spoke with her and got nowhere (he was frustrated because she was adamant that her employee would never say that because she was never even taught that???). I call to see if there is something she could do (she's being short and rude but I try to keep my temperament) as we are college students and $200 is a big financial hit. I am also, at this point, just trying to figure out why her employee would tell me this if it's not true. She essentially tries to say the same thing… that her employee didn't say that because she wasn't taught that. The employee DID tell me this so I simply say ask her. The employee gets on the phone and LIES and says she didn't say that. I ask her what did she say then because she definitely did not tell me $1. She says she doesn't even remember me!!! HOW DON'T YOU REMEMBER ME AND REMEMBER YOU DIDN'T TELL ME AN AMOUNT?????? The manager is basically yelling at me and going back and forth with me to say that her employee didn't say that. I tell her she's yelling and she goes to correct her tone (I believe because she knows the call is recorded). At this point I just want to talk to the person I spoke with at the regional office. When I finally get them on the phone, it is very obvious they spoke with the GM as when I tell the situation they say the supervisor spoke with her and it's $1 now even though someone said something completely different earlier before I spoke with the GM. Okay so who was it that I spoke with? Where is this 20 cent figure coming from? I say I want to report this employee then because she has told me something completely false, and they just forward me to the GM again!! I feel extremely gaslit and conspired against just to boost up ridiculous charges! It makes no sense where this 20 cent figure has come from and they're acting like it came out of thin air!!! Someone needs to be reported or reprimanded or something. These people are scam artists.

Put a uhaul location outside of west jackson. The most crime ridden part of Mississippi besides clarksdale. Put one in Madison or on Lakeland dr or better yet on the east side of Northside drive. All of the locations are in super super bad area of jackson. If I was a smart corporation that wanted to make a lot more money I would put uhaul in high density college areas that are not in west jackson, meaning north east jackson or Madison people would still go without the risk of something bad happening

I think it is horrendous that I had to pay for mileage AND gas. I traveled over 200 miles. It was very inconvenient that I couldn't return the truck back to another location at my destination. I had to drive it 100 miles back to the pick up location.

I think that the location is central and a good one for picking up a truck. However, the lady that checked out the truck to me was very unhelpful and acted as if I should already know things regarding insurance, equipment and return, that I did not know. She was busy on her phone and kind of rolled her eyes, when I asked a question. I was nervous about driving such a large vechicle and she acted as if she really didnt have time to answer questions, even though I was the only customer there on a Sunday morning. If iI were you I would train her better because she is making your store look really bad. She helped me, but just barely, and her demeanor was such that I was bothering her.

Was not informed of roadside service fees at checkout. Had to pay lockout fees upon returning vehicle while at the site. Manager stated they could possibly return 1/2 lockout fee paid to locksmith but then declined. Previous conversation with roadside assistance on 7/3 stated the fee could be reimbursed. I am disappointed with my experience at this site.

The manager was not willing to accept the truck unless I was going to pay double for it, and when I asked how much she thought that would be she had to be motivated to get the charges. It looked like it was all too much to ask and definitely not what she wanted to do.she was rude and showed an attitude. Let me wait until she served another customer etc… finally she got the quote and there were no charges…. Which was what it had to be after all. I had filled the truck up when I left Mrs Whites facility because it only had a quarter of a tank and returned it with 3/4 of fuel in it.

I got to.place I was told I had to turn the truck in at 1030 the same day 29.95 a day is for 24 hours I got charged 58.95 then when I got in truck it was almost on E then I get a bill the next day 30 charge for gas 57 for gas 20 after hours service fee hell the list goes on I will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN

Make all trucks ramp available and with cruise control. Make workable charging ports In store movers - for a bundle price like the insurance All weather canopy for building exterior & for vehicles Secure Customer Parking Lot - We had to get picked up since we didn't trust leaving our vehicle across the street. Northview location needs more space inside and outside. The employees looked cramped behind the desk. I think they need a break room, indoor seating, public bench outside, restroom, vending machine. Update damage stickers on rentals- remove faded stickers. Allow app to take exterior rental pictures on return. Cameras for trucks will help with locating rentals and proof of damages. Hire more people like Robyn Cain!  Great agent. The agent who was there at pick up--->{Not Robyn} could be more personable. She did her job... but seemed distant. We basically had to figure everything out on our own be reading everything lol. It would have been nice if the agent walked out with us to see prior extra damages or any bells and whistles like the tire pressure gauge. Also the new girl is very polite.

I had a great experience with the Store. The 2 young ladies that was on duty that day made us feel welcome and they were so kind and friendly to us. I don't remember their names but please don't let them go anywhere because I really did feel good about doing business with them. So my experience with them was awesome. With employees like them you will always have a good business. So thank you so very much U-haul for your services and for the 2 beautiful female employees that helped me that day. God bless you and continue to stay safe. 

Better customer service from the store representatives is needed. I reserved a uhaul this past Sunday and returned it after store hours. I admit I brought the truck back late but there was nothing wrong with the truck when I brought it back. I verified it myself outside the store on my phone. I didn't even exceed the mileage I planned on using and still brought it back with the gas needle where it was when it was given to me. However, I never received a dolly that I paid for. When I called the store to inform her of this, a store clerk had a bad attitude or seem flustered on the phone trying to help/understand me. She said you have to grab the dolly from inside the store. I didn't know that. No one told me that. I assumed it was on the truck. She watched me leave and didn't stop me to inform me. So it's poor customer service because she didn't assure I had all my equipment before I left. AND WAS STILL CHARGED FOR THE DOLLY I DIDNT USE OR RECEIVE. They also charged me oil and tire repairs and there was nothing wrong with either. I only went 30 miles in the truck. They need better attitudes when communicating with customers and they need to thoroughly explain/highlight the significant parts of the contract. This is a first time thing for some people and you can't expect everyone to just KNOW things. HaNding me over a contract telling me have a good day isnt good customer service, in my opinion. COMMUNICATION IS KEY‼️

I would most definitely use this company again. My opinion on returning the truck at night . It's very dangerous for a female to be outside trying to check a truck in after hours. I think if the truck should be returned by the next business day. It's so much going on. Consider your customers safety. Thanks Again

The service was great. The workers at this location were polite time efficient. I was in and out. There was only one problem. I was charged an extra 11.50 for gas. I received the truck with less than 1/8 of gas and returned it with the same if not more. I was still charged for gas. The workers report said it was supposed to be over 1/8 when I am positive that it was under 1/8 of gas when I got it. It was still polite, good customer service.

When I came to get the Uhaul the lady was rude and did not walk outside with me to look at the uhaul and explain the policy or return policy. She just handed me the keys and said have it back by 9:15. She didn't move from her seat. She frowned the whole time. The associate needs to learn to greet and thank customers. I never do feedbacks but he actions are unacceptable.

They can try to honor a receipt received from another state for a gas credit of $65 that was suppose to be refunded and wasn't. Instead I was told by rep that she did not know what Oklahoma does but Miss does not do that. I think that was a total disregard for customer service. She did not even look at my receipt.

The truck was clean but the only complaint I have is the truck was soo loud and annoying due to someone stealing the Catalyze Converter. You all need to put up cameras and fence the property with razor wire to prevent these people from stealing. Customers and others should not have to deal with this.

The truck seemed to have a transmission issue the entire time. I do believe this is why the vehicle used over 70 dollars in fuel while I had it. It also had a cigarette ashtray that had not been cleaned and obviously been used. This made the vehicle have an unpleasant odor.

Vehicle was on empty, had to rent an appliance dolly because they didn't have a regular dolly and it was tremendously heavy and hard to deal, other company provided a lock for their truck but we would have to buy one for this location truck and there check in system is horrible with incorrect charging information and had to provide everything that I had already done online so that makes it redundant and lastly they take a while to do a check in and send final invoice only after calling to get one

The reason I wouldn't recommend this location is that it is too small causing a lot of congestion. I had to wait about 15 minutes to enter the parking lot to get to the storage because of the many cars blocking the entrance. I had to wait another 5 or 10 minutes upon leaving for the same reason.
