The whole experience with the exception of Alex was sub optimal to say the least. When you are needing to rent multiple items and having to go to multiple locations is less than ideal and then bouncing from one location to another because the equipment was not there is frustrating. when checking in to get my rental, it was supposed to be contactless. But the website would not except the password I created, nor would it allow me to change it. S then I had to wait in a long line of people to get assistance. After the guy quickly got me set up, he gave me the keys to a van that was not ready. Which made me be there for another 15 minutes. Upon returning the vehicle, the contactless return did not work again. And after having contact with two employees who said they could not assist me(even though one got on the computer to print off stuff for audits), I had to wait for the one guy who was able to help me. while waiting for that guy, another customer came in to get some propane, I advised him if he didn't want a long wait, to go find it somewhere else.Jeremy C.

This location is a shit show it took 45 minutes to even get up to the counter and in the employee had to enter my information in three different times when I already checked in online and then it took him 20 minutes to hook up the trailer and then we got 30 minutes out of town and someone had flagged us to pull over because there was a pin missing in the ramp that goes keeps it up that the car goes up so we had to turn around and bring the trailer back wasted two hours didn't get to go get the car than I needed and they still charged me when there was a missing piece so I had to bring it backRami N.
There was some difficulty ordering the truck and car trailer online. The guys at the store were very helpful and persistent until they were able to call (twice) to complete my reservation. For all the time it took, they reduced the overall cost by about half. In the end I received a great deal! Thank you, and U-Haul has my highest respect and recommendation!DONALD L.

When I reserved the truck I also reserved 2 trailers, neither trailer was available and was never notified, the trucks speedometer was off by 6-8 mph causing over my 70 mile trip to read 114 miles that I was charged for, completely unacceptable.HAILEIGH D.

I was charged for an extra day even though we waited over half an hour for the person working there! We were there right on time, 15 minutes early, actually. I had to call corporate headquarters to get a refund. This was after NOT getting the truck I originally rented AND I had to drive an extra 60 miles round-trip to pick up the truck. Again, I wasn't at all happy about that.SEAN D.

Was told I would be refunded by card despite paying the deposit in cash. Haven't seen a refund and customer service told me I will need to return to the location for my refund. Uhaul owes me money and is requiring me to fix the issue by returning. I will be sure to use another company or a friends vehicle next time.Kelsey L.

When I arrived to pickup the equipment at the location I made the reservation with, I was rudely accused of not making the reservation. When I showed the clerk my reservation SMS message, the clerk feigned some excuse of not having serviceable equipment. I was sent to another uHaul location after hours to pick up the equipment. Furthermore, I was promised a "$50 no-show refund" because the first location did not have the equipment promised. I asked for a confirmation number, receipt, or electronic message to track this refund and was told I wouldn't need one - the funds would just show up in my bank account. I have not received any such refund and now the original location appears to have amnesia about the refund and the no-show equipment issue that pushed me off to another location, The clerk I have been dealing with throughout the entire ordeal states "well sir - you got the equipment you wanted so I don't see where there is any issues or problems." This arrogance and the unprofessional and flippant treatment I have received will ensure I will not use or recommend uHaul ever again.Ray A.

I replied Yes to helpfulness of staff but that does not tell the accurate story. We arrived on time for our pick up but still had a 55 minute wait before leaving with the truck. Two people to help a line out the door first thing in the morning. Only two people to process rentals and bring trucks around, etc. Added to that was the fact that another store's entire staff were no shows so those 7 -9 am reservation customers were showing up steaming mad and using this site's staff while many of us waited for help on our own reservations. I had movers coming and barely beat them to my house. So, yes, the man who finally helped us was nice. As to charges, I am pretty frustrated. I moved two houses away.The street I live on is barely 2 miles from the store. My movers did did not use the truck. They hand trucked and carried furnishings. Family came next, loaded all boxes and that was the only driving done before I returned the truck next morning. No idling, or pizza runs. Just one load around the corner. I put no gas in because the guage was unchanged. Sure enough when my invoice arrived via email it showed about 4.7 miles driven but 4 gallons of gas used. Amazing. Your 17' trucks only get 1 mile to the gallon! I was charged $21 for fuel. I would appreciate a refund. Lori Morsman 509-217-1045.Lori M.
I was really disappointed when returning the truck. The attendant tried to say we used 1/4 tank of gas when we only drove the truck 7 miles. Luckily, we took pictures of the odometer and gas gauge when we picked the truck up and when we returned it. I was still charged $10.00 for fuel for going 7 miles. This location is always slow. I did the entire pick up process online, paid and everything, when I went to the counter to grab the keys, they had no idea what I was showing them on my phone and had me wait in line for almost an hour to just look at my phone, grab the keys and hand them to me. They didn't even need the computer to look for me, just turn around and hand me the key. Only 1 staff member of the 3 there knew what the key pick up was, and he was in the back the whole time and only came out when the uhaul worker didn't know how to find my reservation, when in reality, they never needed to find my reservation and just needed to hand me the key.REBECCA M.
I can't say enough good things about the Midtown Spokane Uhaul location! This was, by far, the best moving experience I've had. The GM William was extremely helpful and friendly. Jack was professional and courteous. David always had a smile and was very conscientious in communicating the return process. I will be using them again and definitely recommend these guys!Karol S.
The confirmation email I received said a different location than where we were to pick up our truck. The morning of our rental we went to the location in our email - there were no options for keyless entry and no employees there despite it being 30min after open time. We tried to call uhaul and were on hold for 26 minutes at which point we decided to go to the other open uhaul to see if they could help. When we arrived, they said our pickup location was actually there (again we never received word of this). Luckily they were able to help. To drive the truck straight, the steering wheel had to be 20 degrees to the right. Finally when returning the truck the store was inundated with people and the employee was not helpful. Quite a stressful moving day exacerbated by uhaul.andrew C.

I used the app to check-in and did not realize that the starting mileage on the odometer was incorrect. This resulted in the staff guessing what it actually was and I ended up paying for 18 more miles than I actually drove. Now I know the starting mileage was 7586, had been typed in 7856, but while I was in the store the staff decided it was 7568. The ending mileage was 7600. I drove 14 miles and paid for 32. I realize I have some fault in this by not confirming the starting mileage correctly. Just frustrating.SYMETRIA G.

My experience was absolutely awful. I will never rent from Uhaul again. I was called twice to ch age my reservation and was forced to get a bigger, more expensive truck because I wanted to rent it for 4 days. Then went to pick up said truck and the pick up location informed me that they didn't have a truck for meâ€¦had to wait for them to route me back in the opposite direction of town to go pick one up only to find out that I would wait in line for over an hour to be helped. I ended up having to spend more money that I wanted because I was forced to get a larger truck than I wanted, further away than I wanted so spent more on mileage and gas. I am so displeased by this entire experience and will absolutely never rent from you again. I even mentioned this both places I went and no one attempts to even rectify the issue.LINDSAY L.
The location is very hard to get in and out of. Trying to talk to someone on the phone is almost impossible. Each time I called the wait time was over 30 minutes. However, the staff was very friendly and professional at this location. The service was fast once the set up was complete, but the set up and getting the pickup finalized was bit difficult.Jennette P.

Joleen is WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD as an employee!! Promote her, giver her a raise, do all you can to keep her as an asset to your company. It was a busy day at the location, long line, specific situations to deal with and a lot of people with their own "deal". She was friendly, patient while being efficient and mindful of her pacing to get to everyone in a reasonable amount of time. What a gem. Been meaning to go back and get her a Starbucks card or some sort of promotional gift. Take it from an Inventory Supervisor of a crew of 20 people Joleen is A+ worker, praise her and make her the standard for the rest of the employees at this location.Corin B.
