There are a few issues. 1) There is no parking for solo customers. When I rent a truck, I need to leave my car somewhere. Instead they told me to park in the shopping center nearby. That's fine, but it's kind of unprofessional. 2) Using the app to do auto check-in had some issues. The app needs improvement. Now that I have used it, I will know what to do next time. Maybe you need a video tutorial.

I did have a problem in that the truck i reserved 10 days before was not available. I reserved a 15ft truck and there was only a 10ft available. It kind of defeats the purpose of reserving. I had to make 2 trips when we were setting up for an event on a timeline.

The attitude of the staff along with the general manager could stand to be worked on. They were both rude, unprofessional, and snippy. I understand the stress of a Saturday with a line of people, but there's no call for employees, or managers for that matter, to be rude.

Have a disclaimer, that if setting a mobile pickup after hours- that you may have to go inside to get keys, or have workers onsite before opening to get mobile orders ready, not arriving two minutes before opening. A flag to worker about customer coming in, would be nice. was at location before opening, a lot of customers arrive after me, but app had me come in for keys, I didn't want to upset the 8 people in line, so I wait in line for the one worker to get through the customers

The equipment that I was rented had no brakes, It wasn't safe and shouldn't have been on the road at all. The brake reservoir was empty and there was no cap on it. The entire time that I was transporting my vehicle, I felt that I was left in an unsafe and dangerous position. I called for help and was told that I needed to return the transport back to where I rented it, I wasn't able to take it to a location and get another transport. I should have never been forced to put my well-being at risk nor should I have been forced to put others on the road at risk

Employees talk to much about things that are not relevant to their job. Asking customer astrology sign and so on I pretty sure she knew everything about that customer's personal life . She was wired big time and talked nonstop it was weird.

Upon arrival I was told the storage unit I had reserved wasn't available. I was offered a size larger, however told I'd have to pay the difference. This was the third issue I had with U-Haul while moving this weekend. Eventually the staff ended up giving two months free instead of the 1 month free I received with my truck to help make up the difference. However, we waited over an hour while they were trying to figure out what was available. I ended up in a 10x10x6, which was more expensive and smaller than the 10x8x9 I had reserved. I wouldn't recommend U-Haul in the future.

The staff were friendly, but didn't seem to know what they were doing. We walked all over trying to view units since the one I had reserved wasn't available. Eventually I sat in a chair while they walked around to figure it out. The check in process took over an hour. Dropping off the truck went fine.

Be sure the box on the truck doesn't leak! We had to buy, change and repack17 boxes that came out of a DRY storage unit in Aloha, Or. and went into a DRY storage unit in Klamath Falls, Or., because every box that touched the floor of the truck got soaked. Not at all happy, and after 30 years of being a loyal customer will no longer be renting from U-Haul. Also truck was not in good condition including windshield wipers and head lights.

Well... I tried to reserve a 12'x6' trailer without ramp from my "home" U-Haul location of 14225 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy Beaverton, OR 97005 (503) 643-9539 but my on-line reservation reserved said trailer in Tigard, Or. Which was neither close, nor convenient. I then called the UHC OF WESTERN OREGON Regional Traffic Office (503) 774-3203 and was told the Beaverton location no longer had said trailer available, and was directed to the Hillsboro location. Which was even further away, and less convenient. However, the agent stated she would provide an extra (3rd day) of use at no charge, so I wouldn't have to fight rush hour traffic to pick up/return trailer. To which I agreed. That meant a two day rental (including free 3rd day) plus $16 insurance would be $75. However, when I arrived in Hillsboro to pick up trailer, it was a 12''x6' trailer with ramp. The desk agent stated the [higher] price, with [higher] insurance, was $113.85. So not only did I pay $38 more for a feature I didn't want, nor use, I had to pay more insurance for said feature I didn't want, nor use. And, I had to drive 16 miles out of my way to do it. With all that said, I would like to pay only the $75 rental as agreed. If so, I will consider using U-Haul for my future needs. Regards, Phil

If I had to pay for the month then it would be a lower rating. Nobody answers the phones and the poor staff are always trying to run around to try to keep up with whatever is happening. Consider better pay / incentives to hopefully have better staff morale and better work ethic. I loathe anytime I have to use uhaul because the staff are never on the same page between days or locations. I don't understand why I couldn't finish my rental online or over the phone even though my unit was empty and I had taken the lock.

The current management is efficient and friendly. Follow-up via phone was helpful. The equipment at this location has always been well maintained and clean. The gas tank was not at full even though the rental paperwork indicated it was - but that was quickly taken care of. Thanks, Team!

Hire people that actually want to work. One of them was yelling at another customer. They were rude to everybody. They were complaining to customers how much they hate their jobs. I had an on line trailer reservation. It took 45 minutes to get the trailer hooked up. Should be a 10-15 minute thing. Horrible experience this time. Not that it is ever great at this location.

Early pick up on pre online scheduled 20 ft truck. I Loved the online ordering***** The customer service part still took 30 minutes, an easy situation into a complicated change of truck and keys, all there doing. The young man behind the counter had no clue on computer screens to complete my order. The lady working the other register made the truck/key changes which he had to figure out computer stuff to print me a receipt. Finally, she came back to his desk to assist then disappeared again when he needed help. I did finally get my truck & all was good with an extra $5 charge on my receipt of 12 pads (only ordered & rcvd 6 pads). Also, charged $1 for Environmental fee? I honestly believe, all businesses that will thrive will be the ones with excellent trained customer service. It makes or break a company. Thank you

It's a nice service, but u-haul markets 19.95 in town an it ends up being over 100$ , why?!?! So many additional fees!! It's very misleading! It's very annoying! But what can you do if you don't have the right equipment.

This location saved me from being scammed by the customer service team. The CS team called me out of know where saying they added miles (as if it was free) and without my consent charge me for two additional daysâ€"THEY DOUBLED MY QUOTE. Absolute scam artists and the Hillsboro location helped fix it. I will never use uhaul again because of that horrible scam experience, but I may consider this location

When opened storage unit found to large puddles on my car hints also 3 different occasions 2 of which we were unable to get to storage unit due to returns parked 5 feet apart the opening was smaller than our vehicle and Sunday I had to guid driver through space that was when I left

I was extremely disappointed in my experience here. Things go wrong and I get that but it was with every contact I had with them. I was billed for a returned ubox. The boxes were not ready when promised even after I called and told them I would be there. She should not be in any type of management position.the assistant manager Jenny was very rude and condescending to me and my husband. She should not be in any type of management position. I will not recommend or use uhaul again.

Great experience. One of the best improvements was the guide on how much gas to put in to bring it back to the beginning level. It used to anger me that U-Haul wouldn't just start off with a full tank, which resulted in them always getting some free gas from me. Now I feel like they're trying to be fair and honest. Makes ALL the difference in how I feel about them. Also, love the link they send to upload photos, etc. and the online check-in beforehand.

I ordered a 4x8 trailer and got a message saying they didn't have a 4x8 but would upgrade me to a 5x8 for free. I called back to confirm the location, date, and time of the trailer rental. Everything was confirmed and good to go as far as I was told. However, when I showed up Saturday morning to pick up the trailer, I was told they didn't have one and that I needed to go to Beaverton to get one despite having confirmed the reservation at Hillsboro. After calmly explaining the situation, I was told I could not get a trailer (even though I have a voicemail confirming my trailer reservation at Hillsboro). Due to scheduling that day, I couldn't go to Beaverton in hopes that they might have a trailer, which is exactly why I reserved the trailer for 7:00 am at the Hillsboro location. At this point, trying to problem solve, I asked for other options of trailers and was told there were none, but I could get a van (over $100 more than the trailer and not what I needed). I then asked for a discounted rate since it was not my fault the reservation got messed up. I was told I could get a van but with no discount. In essence; I had a confirmed reservation for a trailer but due to the trailer being unavailable and being in a time crunch was rudely pressured into spending over $100 more on a van. There was no apology, discount, or anything, and despite my patience with the employees, I was treated extremely poorly. In fact, while I was working things out with one employee, another one interrupted us (multiple times) with irrelevant information since she did not know the situation or details. The second employee seemed very on edge as if she was going through drug or cigarette withdrawals end kept rudely cutting myself or the other employee off. The service was inaccurate, stressful, rude, and a waste of over $100 being pressured into renting a van when I only needed a trailer.
