The truck I got, the steering was off, the check engine light was on and something was off with the transmission. I couldn't drive it over 55mph on the interstate. That truck could seriously use some time in the shop.AMY C.

So i brought the truck back with the gas the way it was, the girl checking order #84694546 said i needed more gas, so i left and went to put a few more dollars in came back the same girl checking it back in for me said AGAIN i needed more gas and it was past what was required! Went a 2nd time to go put MORE gas in, At this point i was getting a little upset so we went to talk with the manager re: the gas. We were there almost an hour just to drop off a truck. The girl checking me in was price gouging obviously!! After 2 times doing that i figured it out. Talked with the manager and she said we would get a refund. She called 30 minutes after i left and said i would get 30$ credited to me. So the employees are price qouging to get a commission!! DO NOT DROP THE TRUCK OFF AND LEAVE KEYS WITHOUT CHECKING OUT FIRST!!! The employee knew she was gonna get commission and tried to bullshit me!!! YOU NEED TO FIRE EVERYONE AND START WITH A WHOLE NEW STAFF ... This is the 2nd time I've had problems with this location so i will never use again!!!!! GET A NEW STAFF TO START FRESH WITHOUT SCANDALOUS EMPLOYEES.DARLENE N.

I made my reservation at a certain location. I do not check my email very often and once i arrived at the location there was not a trailer there. I checked my reservation and it said the location moved 25 minutes away. I go to pock up that trailer and when i said i was going to drop the trailer off at the location i picked on my reservation they said they would charge me an additional 100.00. If there was not a trailer at my original location then why did it let me make my reservation. I picked that location for a reason and i did not want to go 25 minutes out of my way to get the trailer from another location. This is not the first time this has happened with uhaul and i will not use this company again.STEVEN F.

My daughter was needing a truck on Labor Day to move into a new house. Thankfully, this location was open. All the ones in my neighborhood were closed, so we had to drive a little further. When we got home, the furniture pads were missing. I had to drive all the way back to retrieve them. Other than that, we were allowed to extend another day by phone, which was convenient.BARBARA M.

Let me start by saying that the young man that took care of me was excellent. What wasn't excellent was that the lighting package for my hitch did not come in and no one called me to see if I wanted to reschedule. Now I will have to make two trips. Also, the young man was working alone so I had to sit and wait while he took care of other customers. Why would someone schedule a hitch install and then not schedule enough employees?? Still he was very nice and it is not his fault.sherry L.

I was given a 26 ft truck, and was supposed to have been a 20 ft truck. By the time I realized the truck was the wrong size the movers were waiting on me and I couldn't go back to the store. This truck cost me more money, more fuel and the truck rode like a tank. The lady should have looked at my reservation.gloria D.

The worst experience ever. Said they never â€œgotâ€ out reservation. Had to go to 5 different locations to find a truck to move across states that day. Customer service was rude and refused to give us our $100 off for the inconvenience of having to upgrade to a bigger truck. EVEN though we didn't want itâ€¦.but had to. I will never rent with uhaul again. You treat us like garbage and make us feel unappreciated for something that wasn't out fault. I hope you find better employees to service people.WHITNEY B.

The size of the unit for the price, combined with the fact that there was no lighting inside the unit and they had to put out traps far rats/roaches was quite disappointing. Paid for a 15 foot truck. I was give a 10 foot. Truck reeked of cigarette smoke. Employees couldn't be bothered with helping resolve the issue. Was told an 8pm return time, online drop of was listed at 7pm. Will never go back to this location again. My attorney is actively trying to dispute this contact and reverse the payment. I paid to have my container delivered to my house but instead an empty container was delivered. A second contract and payment was charged to me for the second container and I have yet to see that money returned. I had to drive the empty container back to u-haul and wait over an hour and a half to get my container.DAVID C.

Uhaul gave me a Horrible vehicle. The check engine light was on, and I was afraid the vehicle would eventually leave me stranded somewhere. The rented Uhaul reeked of cigarette smoke and the engine had a weird smokey smell. The Uhaul was uncleaned but useful. I would not use this Uhaul location for a Uhaul on longer trips in fear of being stranded on the side of the road. Equipment was my major problem. Availability of a dolly was mis-stated online, therefore I wasn't able to get a dolly unless I exchanged it for the more expensive appliance dolly. Truly uncomfortable and unfortunate Uhaul experience.AMANI L.

New manager has problems being kind. Not that she is mean, more like rude. Did not believe photo we took showing gas level, made us screenshot and come back next day then rudely told us if we had a problem we should have come back in. She was busy with other customers and man who gave us the truck said to take picture of everything as proof. He was very kind.PEGGY H.

My only problem with U-Haul is I received very confusing emails with confirmations. All of the confirmation showed a different pick up location anywhere from Jackson, MS to D'Iberville, MS. Once I called the Gulfport location the 3rd time they confirmed that I had a reservation for their location even though I received a new confirmation showing I was to pick up a 15' truck in D'Iberville instead of a 10' truck in Gulfport. Gulfport also advised they couldn't guarantee a dolly because they weren't sure if they would have one and couldn't do anything about it. For the price I had to pay for the mileage, my reservation should have been guaranteed. The advertisement for your local truck is very deceiving with a $19.95 truck. Customers don't realize they also have to pay .99 cents a mile and fill the gas tank up. I went from a $19.95 truck to it costing me $113.08. Not a very good deal. I've been a U-Haul customer for years and not satisfied with local trucks. Phyllis ElderPhyllis E.
The issue was not the location but the process of turning in the truck. I had to turn in the truck at a different location other than what was specified on the contract because of mechanical issues with the engine. After calling U-Haul customer service their response to this question was to drive the truck to the original destination and if it broke down to call roadside assistance. That was not an acceptable response, why would I drive a truck that's experiencing mechanical problems already when it is at a U-Haul dealer and can be left there to be repaired. After speaking several times to customer service about the situation the lady named Sue explain that I will need to drive it again and then promptly hung up on me. That is not how you should do business with customers who are trying to prevent your equipment from being damaged. I had to call customer service again and speak with someone else who could think about the situation logically and help me.RICH L.

I was, however, EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the constant changes in reservations and pickup locations, the blatant lying about truck availability, and the nearly 200% charging over the estimate. And for those reasons, I will be recommending professional movers to all I know. Movers would have only cost me $400 more than the truck.COREY R.
