Equipment and location were a plus, however, the labor contracted through the U-Haul site was a real disappointment. Citing car problems and a myriad of other excuses, they never showed up from their Mobile home. After waiting 2.5 hours, we had to cancel the labor and return the equipment to the location. Since I came from Jackson to Gulfport for the move, it was a complete waste of time and money.Robert W.

I have had some bad experiences, particularly the U-Haul in New Orleans, but this location was most professional and quick. This made my experience absolutely fantastic. This location is staffed with the friendliest people! They are very "customer oriented". One negative and I know it's not the location's fault--i have noticed over the past year that the Uhaul trucks are getting rather ragged. There's always an issue--engine lights that won't go off, doors that don't work, banged up bodies, loud mufflers.Calvin C.

When i received my van (saturday) it was on a half a tankâ€¦ which was fine i didnt need it for more than 35 milesâ€¦ once i got it to my destination before putting anything in the truck i saw 1 small roach and thought nothing off itâ€¦ after getting all of my furniture out off the van 7 little roaches came crawling from my rug and 3 from my beddingâ€¦ i do not have roaches in my home nor the one i was transferring the furniture toâ€¦ i called and informed them about the roaches on my way back to the facility and they informed me they would look at the vehicle, the vehicle also smelled strongly of cat pissâ€¦ once i got to the facility they proceeded to ignore my concern about the roaches and said they â€˜did not see any' i informed them again that there were 3 baby roaches when i got in the van on the way back to the facility and 2 bigger roaches crawling aroundâ€¦ my mom showed them where they had ducked into and they still proceeded to tell me since they did not see them they werent thereâ€¦ one of the not so kind gentlemen said i could come back and talk to his manager the next day. After leaving i was charged an additional 85 dollars for my â€˜tank not being full once i returned the vehicle' i received it on below a half a tank and brought it back above a half a tankâ€¦ (i have the picture of the tank once i left and the mileage)â€¦ they again informed me to talk to the manager tomorrow( sunday) sunday morning 13 minutes after the facility had opened i called to see what time the manager would be in and she was the one i was speaking to. She informed me she did not work on Sundays and it was her only day offâ€¦ she said that i should have filled out a survey with my discrepancies on the vehicleâ€¦ which after looking over my messages i have not found said survey for discrepanciesâ€¦ she informed me that i should receive a call from her by Noon Monday 04/17â€¦ but while we were on the phone she continued to ignore my concerns about the roaches and said she did not need to see my photos of the gas mileage that it should be documented in â€˜her files' of the vehicleâ€¦ which they gave me a different van than the one he originally had told me about giving me which should have been on a 3/4th of a tank. The van i received wasn't â€¦ i have never had any problems with this facility the 1 other time i used them and expected to have the same experienceâ€¦ but seeing as my items i moved were not put in the van with roaches and were removed with themâ€¦ and once informing of the situation i was not only charged an extra 85 dollars for gas that was not missing but also had my concerns of the roaches blatantly brushed offâ€¦ i will not be using this facility again for my uhaul needs.Maurianna E.

I am an excellent customer with close to 10 rentals from 4/22 to 4/23. When I bring back a truck after hours I don't want to watch a video so that I can check it back in. I am tired and just want to put the key through the door. I started watching the video so that I could save the $20 fee and quit, thinking this is ridiculous. I first used this location a few years back the service was excellent. Then it was maybe a year or so before I used it again and the service had gotten terrible. The employees were not engaged in delivering services. It took an unreasonable amount of time to get waited on. I'm glad to say this time they were back to giving excellent service and I appreciate the way they performed. Gracias.Johnny C.

Had requested utility and furniture dolly when reservation was made weeks in advance. Upon arrival to pick up was told they did not have any. I commented that it would have been nice to have been informed prior to my arrival so that other arrangements for vital moving equipment be made. I then asked if another UHaul location might have said items and was told â€œI have no idea. Call around.â€ Something that this location could have done but did not. When I picked up, most other locations had already closed or were about to. This is not the first disappointing experience I have had with this particular UHaul agent. I did not choose this location, UHaul assigned me here due to availability of truck rental.David S.

When I returned the trailer at 8PM on Saturday, March 25th I tried to return it through the app but it did not work. I tried many times and gave up. There were others there returning equipment having the same issue. On Sunday morning at around 9AM i received notice from my bank that I was charged $21.40. I called and they said since I did not use electronic check in that they charged me. I returned the trailer 11 hours early and to the spot I was told to. I was never told that I had to use the electronic return but I tried anyhow. I am not happy with this arbitrary charge. The person I spoke with said the charge would be retuneded within 5 business days but I should have never been charged in the fist place. I rent from you guys often and have been quite pleased but it only takes one incident like this to sour someone's opinion. Please get this worked out on your end as if it happens to me again, then you will get a poor rating from me. Thanks! CharlieCharles F.

We booked a unit online specifically picked one on ground floor since we had furniture. None were available upon arrival. The inside of the storage place was run down and not maintained. We had to find a different storage unit in gulfport and we got charged for the miles it took to drive there. It was not a good experience and wouldn't recommend this location. When I made my reservation for a 1st floor climate controlled 1,200 square foot storage, I knew that is what I was getting. When I checked in at the facility they gave me a 2nd Floor climate controlled small storage room and I am on a time schedule nothing else was open on a Sunday so I had to settle but I have no where else to put my other stuff because it would not fit in the storage they gave me. I have 3 units but had to cancel this one. staff always eager to help but the hall was too narrow to fit the sofa. I would have moved stuff from my other units but it wouildnt have fit in those either. Its not a huge couch so I don't understand this. I know Cheyann tried very hard to make it work. Dana and her Assistant was very helpful getting things reversed. They made it quick and easy and I was grateful. online is very convenient but took two days having to re enter constantly over and over til finally went thru. if it does that because someone has it reserved, please just say "you can try later" but having to keep entering info over and over was frustrating. The storage unit available was on the second floor which was also split level making it a 2.5 level with stairs and a ramp only to load and unload items. No elevator available. The facility was not climate controlled and it was extremely sweltering hot while moving items in and out. I found a dead rat in my unit upon moving out. All of my belongings smelled like a dead rat in my car. I have to air out and clean my belongings before placing inside my home. There was a large cut out hole in the wall in the unit observed when moving in. I tried to cover it with a suitcase but I guess that didn't help. 2 rat traps were also in the unit. I rented this unit not knowing that there was not an elevator to help me get my things up to the second floor. I had no way to carry all of my things up the stairs by myself, and therefore this storage unit was useless to me and I never even used it to store any of my stuff. The facility was not what I expected from my previous experience with a different Uhaul storage facility in Hawaii. It wasn't as clean as I expected it to be and there is a very musty smell that concerns me will transfer to the fabric of the sofa, and will also be absorbed by the wood in the table and dresser. They also did not have the size that I had actually reserved online. I ended up with a smaller unit, and although the movers made it work for a sofa, dresser (standing upright), and round dining table (laying on its side), it is not ideal and will make it difficult getting things out without strong movers to do so when it's time to vacate. It also doesn't leave very much space for boxes. The other inconvenience is that there is no elevator. The furniture needed to be carried up the stairs, then up ramps to get to the unit on the second floor. Unfortunately, with the timing I had no other option as I couldn't keep the movers running around to different facilities or units. If I had known these things I would have looked for something better and closer to Bay St Louis or Picayune. Although every other place that I made inquiries with only had very big units which were too big for what I needed stored. What I had reserved was an 8x8 unit and that would have been perfect. What I ended up with was a 6x6 unit. On another note, I was impressed with the selection of packing supplies for sale at the facility.Kalena C. | First Impressions

So I had some problems with the paper work and calculations which could have been explained , but after the tenth time it was not . I was told to call the manager so I did . When I called the manager and explained it to her she basically told me I woke her up out her sleep and when I asked can I stop by tomorrow and resolve this what time will she be in she told me again I woke her up out her sleep in she was in a fog and did not know ! On the card that was giving to me it did not say what time to call the (manager) which I think was unprofessional and poor on management as well !!! I must say Travis helped me get in the unit which took about 20 minutes because it wasent working and he to had to keep calling inside for help so it just was not me !!!!! I appreciate Travis !! The size of the unit for the price, combined with the fact that there was no lighting inside the unit and they had to put out traps far rats/roaches was quite disappointing. I was to get a single large storage unit. I call a few times to confirm this. When I arrived they gave me two small units that was less storage space than the single large unit I had reserved. It was extremely difficult to get my stuff in. I'm very dissatisfied!doyle b. | Overall Experience

When we got the storage I wasn't asked bout the insurance. I came back from working out of town and all my stuff was wet and molded. The ceiling had done fell in and wet all my things. So when I went to the front they say they can't do anything cause of the insurance.
