As I waited in line the kind lady behind the register was helping a customer while her peer was kneeling against some boxes staring off into lord knows where. After about 5 minutes of gazing, he graciously offers to assist me just as his phone rings. He of course accepts the call while laughing stating “hey man did you see the text she sent me?”. Another 20-25 minutes of waiting and then his call ends, he walks back in chatting with the hard working lady stating “guess who that was about?” They exchange some more words and as he offers to assist me the kind lady states, “don’t worry honey to her peer cashier, I’ll take care him.” What should’ve been a 10-15 min ordeal turned into a 40-50 minute fiasco due to lazy folk. Eh, par for the course I guess. Truck ran like a champ!

I was not happy with the online reservations. They changed my time from 9:30 am to 2:30pm which is a big time difference and the customer service employees were not helpful at all.

The manager Rolston Hughes(Hewes) does not have great customer service skills. They charged me twice for my uhaul and after I let him look into the contract and talk, he would not allow me to talk for better understanding. All he could tell me was to call the 800 number for more assistance. I called, they have me application codes to give my bank to drop the initial authorizations. I called my bank to confirm that the purchase amounts were pending or just authorized they said all were pending payments and I would have to dispute the purchase because they had already paid until for these, therefore, the authorization codes given were a waste of time.

I was greeted when I pulled in with the truck and was checked out within 5 minutes. The technician checked the truck over, verified fuel and mileage, and showed me to the seating area while I waited on my ride.

The tow dolly was damaged and I had to drive 20 miles 3 times out of my way to get the dolly fixed. If all locations were like this I would never rent from uhaul again.

Other than the 2016 F650 26ft truck getting 7.1-7.4mpg and guzzling up over 150gl of gas,everything was fine. I would SERIOUSLY recommend, or suggest that U-haul change over to using Diesel trucks.

When I return my equipment. I ent in the store and it was a long line and employees were standing around watching this on general manage handle all the customers. When it finally became my to the general manager tried to make it seem like I return my equipment late when on my receipt it clearly states when time the equipment was do back. He said “I cut you a break cause sir you really owe me $20.00 cause your equipment was it due back at 10am. I guess he figured he would try to pull one over on me because I waited in line for so long to be helped the customer service at this place was below average I will never again rent a U-Haul from here nor refer to any one of my friends or family

The man behind the counter, who appeared to be the manager needs to learn how to speak to people that are spending money with your company. I believe his name was Rolston Hewes or Hughes. Either way, he is very rude person and speaks to people like they are stupid. He made a sad attempt to apologize when he realized I was pissed. If I have to rent a vehicle from Uhaul again, I will not do so from that location.

This store went above and beyond to remove our vehicle from old tow dolly with substandard straps and chains. Previous uhaul we rented dolly from used a set of locks to secure chains as hooks were broken off and they could not be unlocked and this uhaul in Gulport had to cut them off, It was very laborous and we are very very thankful that they took the time and effort to get our car off this dolly. This dolly the rachets also didnt work as the straps came completely off two of our wheels during transport, We stopped and checked every 2 hours or so as we had to potty our dog, and most times they were a little loose, we tightened and then twice they were completely off the wheel, it was not fun trying to get strps back on in the pooring rain. Sad that such poor equipment was out for rent from any uhaul location. The gulfport location has clean very well maintained equipment every where we could see, in fact their dollyies were brand new.

Overall everything was great! Customer service great! If I had to change one hung, you all have some rusted Dollys at your location and I’d scrap the rust and spray paint them to look more appealing to people renting to move large appliances/ furniture! I was given a rusted one and yes it didn’t he job but there were 4 more that were not rusted that should have been used first and the rusted one as a last resort!

The only issue I have is the hidden fees. $24.95 to hire equipment was the advertised cost. With taxes and add on cost it ended being $67.00 with $10.70 of that cost for checking the equipment on its return. A two wheel car dolly?

I requested the truck at 7am and I showed up at 708 and the truck wasn’t ready. All items need to be done and the customer shouldn’t have to wait on the staff to figure out your info.

Don't charge mandatory insurance fee to customers that already have insurance coverage through their auto insurance coverage and coverage provided by their credit card. Mileage fees are already too high also.

My issue was not with this particular facility but with the overall experience with U-Haul. I had a reservation set for a different location and once I went to that location they did not have the U-Haul and they directed me to call customer service. Once I call customer service they said that my reservation was for this location. the email and the confirmation I got did not have this address associated with it at all. I then had a new reservation made on the spot for this location. Once I arrived I had to wait in line for 20 minutes but once I was assisted I was at the door very quickly with the vehicle I needed.

i will not get a truck on pass road again the man didnt explain nothing i told him i wanted insurance on vechile and now dont have any on truck didnt get no number anything if something happens it was a bad weekend had little damage to a door that was a accident now i have pay 2000 dollar for door that nobody put me on insurance explain anything just really up set i dont have the money put on something like that i am already having money problems dont need this to add any more to it.

We wanted the pick up at the location in D'Iberville, MS and we called nearly a week in advance for the reservation. We were told two days before that the pick up would be in Gulfport, MS. This was of course not the fault of the folks at either location but the national center.

I have used this place several times never having an issue but unfortunately due to the events of this experience, I will not be back. I arrived and both Teresa and Ralston Hughes were with guest.. they finished up and showed them to their rentals about the same time.. I then waited about 20 mins for one of them to return.. I've never had to wait that long for a rental but no big deal. Then Teresa informs me that I needed a major credit card to rent the pickup or the van. I could no longer use my debit card I have used several times before.. no where did it state on my reservation or when the lady called to confirm my reservations that I would need a major credit card.. Aggravated, I asked to speak to a manager.. She goes outside unbenonce to her standing by the people who brought me to rent the van and told Ralston that she needed him inside.. there was a lady throwing a fit about the credit card policy.. Which I wasn't.. Ralstin comes in explains, apologized, admitted that the policy isn't in fact on the web.. I get my rental.. Eugene pulls it up. I get in and immediately notice the van isnt clean and the tire pressure light was on.. So I get back out. Eugene was helping a guest with propane so I waited 10 mins til he was free. Then as he walked inside, said he would be right with me.. I wait another 15 mins before deciding to go inside.. Mr Hughes finally acknowledged me and so I told him the light was on.. Ralston goes on to inform me there was a problem with the sensor that they already knew about. This wasn't on the damage acknowledgment.. nobody bothered to inform me of the issue before I wasted another 30 mins waiting for someone to air the tire up. This was by far the worst experience I've had with uhaul and I will not be back..

My reservation was on on time, and delivered to the uHaul to the nearest location to my home. My uHaul truck and trailer was safe to drive my distance to Gulf Port, and I didn't exceed my miles.
