My experience was unique...the internet connection was down at the time I went to pick up my trailer. I was originally turned away and told I would be contacted when the system was up and running. I got about 10 miles away from that location when I received a call saying that things were back online. When I got back to the Franklin U-Haul, things were down again. they then adreed to take all the necessary info down on paper and enter it when things were back online. As far as the journey and equipment goes, I loved the 5X8 trailer. It was a newer trailer with the RAMP rear door...EXCELLENT improvement. Rode like a cloud! When I turned in the trailer yesterday, Tom said it was the first of it's kind that he had ever seen so....I guess we upgraded the La Crosse, WI stock of trailers. Thank you, Achilles

Overall this was an excellent experience that I would use again. The drivers, in particular, were outstanding! The dispatch operators I spoke too were also very good and accommodating. The only minor issues I ran into were delivery dates - the system let me book a date that wasn't covered by the drivers. A suggestion would be to link driver's availability with the online booking tool. I do want to specifically highlight Cecelia, the driver that delivered my pods in Idaho Falls. She was incredibly efficient, professional, and provided excellent customer service.

Once again, Ashley and Raven have exceeded our expectations. At the end of a very exhausting, two week-two trip move, they were the shining light that made everything better. The location on 4400 Franklin Blvd in Eugene, OR was very friendly and professional. I made my reservation online and wanted to reserve a truck at that location originally but then received a follow-up phone call saying they didn't have the truck available and would it be ok to go to the location at 3436 olympic in Springfield. Someone even called and confirmed the following day, I would be picking up the truck at the 3436 olympic location. This was to be picked up using the mobile app process by the way. When I went to pick up the truck, the app told me to call uhaul and after getting transferred 3 different times, I found out the reservation for my truck was never entered. So that person got me a truck set up at the Franklin Blvd location. And I went there and picked up the truck. In and out. The staff was very nice and helpful! Don't use the mobile app for picking up a truck!!!

It' rained quite a bit on the trip subsequent there was more water in the truck than I would have expected. Most got absorbed by the blankets except the end of the mattress that was on the floor which got soaked.

Johnny did an amazing job, explained everything to me, and helped me get the right parts (I ordered the wrong thing). If this was any other facility I probably would have had the wrong thing installed, but Johnny caught my mistake, called me, then worked to get it all correct. The install was smooth and he is a super nice guy. DONT LOSE THAT EMPLOYEE he is the best and saved me voiding my warranty on my new car. I have worked with Jackie there before also and she is very good as well. Great location, I will drive past other locations to give this one my business because I know I will always be well taken care of there.

I rented the trailer 2 weeks ago and Uhaul called me Saturday the day before I was supposed to leave to let me know there were no trailers to be found until late Sunday. Are you kidding me? Nothing in the entire northern Oregon area.... They did find one that may be available Sunday but its an hour away from me and I couldn't pick it up early because they weren't sure where it was. Had to travel 2 hrs south to find a trailer that I ordered 2 weeks ago. Unbelievable.

The absolute worst experience

One problem! It seems that there was one hidden fee never explained or disclosed to me. It was called the license recovery fee. Your people noted the $1 environmental fee, but no one disclosed that 2nd fee. It was only an additional $1, but it came as a surprise. While the attendant on returning the truck mentioned the total amount correctly, no one up front in the transaction mentioned that 2nd fee. Thank yoiu, and please make sure that your representatives mention that fee iin the future when quoting rates.

My rental.experiemce was alright,I had to get a bigger truck cause the one I reserved didn't get returned therefore had to pay more per mile. My problem came 2 days later when towing my trailer by that location my wheel.came off. So I had to.pull into the next parking lot. Aparently uhaul leases the yard behind that business that is currently vacant and available for.lease. well starting first thing in.the am the employees from uhal drove their forklifts past our trailer harassing us yelling profanities and threats at us because they use that parking lot supposedly for semi trucks to pull thru and although we were possibly.in the way, if the employers who were parked there also had moved their cars over about 5 parking spots there would have been no problem. Instead they chose to harass us all.day until we figured.out a way to get our wheel back on enough to move 30.ft. we told them we were waiting on the mobile.mechanic as we were and they didn't care. Threatening to call the tow truck , in which they had no authority to do so and continued to drive the forklift by and.yell things like "you were warned" and honk the horn and come take pictures and cuss at us asking where out license plate was and just be complete Jerks all.day. and not one time the whole day did one semi truck even come. I think they use that parking lot.to transport truck parts and things across the street so they.dont have to drive in the street but could go.down the parking lot then cross over. They had plenty of toom.for a forklift obviously cause they.kept driving by yelling stuff at us. I cannot believe this was the same crew I rented a truck from.2 days before. The Mexican guy on the forklift was the worst of all he did most of the harassing. We literally had out trailer fixed and moved by that afternoon. We weren't trying to inconvenience anyone, we literally couldn't move our trailer. It was totally uncalled.for and I will not ever rent a truck for buy anymore propane from.this location again. And we were regularly buying propane. It's unfortunate uhaul has that employee representing their company.

I have used this Uhaul location more than once. The last couple of times were fairly recent and the circumstances that lead me to need their services weren’t the most pleasant. Ashley B. helped me with rental of both vehicle/trailer and storage facility on both occasions and really streamlined my experience. Some people can help make or break a business. Ashley B. Friendly, attentive and professional staff!! Our daughter is a student at UO and this location was perfect for us (under 1.5 miles from the university). Super convenient because we’re from out of state and had to not only rent a small storage unit but, also a cargo van to move her stuff into storage. Her new apartment this upcoming year comes furnished and would not allow her to bring certain items (i.e. full size bed, kitchen items and some small furniture items that we didn’t want to part with in case her living situation changes next school year). Smallest unit available was a 5x10, which was way more space then we needed. Once we arrived from moving, a staff member and his cute little assistant met us outside and showed us to our unit. I can’t stress enough how convient having both the truck rental and storage onsite was. Once we unloaded, we dropped the van off in front of the office and were on our way. Thank you!!

Phone reservation for first floor unit. Went to facilty to secure to discover that it is up a flight of stairs! I am disabled as is my partner. We were not offered another first floor unit for the same price. Being disabled is sad & hard sometimes. Perhaps UHAUL will consider that first floor needs to be just that, no stairs, OR reasonable similar (same price) accommodations need to be made, per the ADA. They wanted more $. After I told them we were disabled & the stairs were unacceptable. Unacceptable. ACLU. ADA.

This rating ONLY applies to the people that helped me today (6/21) went I went in to fix an issue caused by the employee who originally helped me (Ashley Babcock) Ashley treated me like I was a complete waste of his time. He refused to show me the unit thaI would be renting because he REFUSED to go upstairs! instead he decided to show me a unit that was COMPLETELY different than the one he rented me. The unit he rented me (113) was smaller than the one that I was originally shown This was due to unit 113, having an L shape lip inside it, which severely limits the space, in fact it cuts the usable space down by 1/3. If Ashley had not been so lazy, and annoyed with having to show me the unit I was renting, (which I was NOT ALLOWED TO SEE before renting) I WOULD NOT have rented it, as it did NOT suit my needs. I truly feel that I was a victim of "Bait and Switch", which is ILLEGAL! Please deal with Ashley Babcock accordingly, to prevent potential litigation in the future. Now for the 2 WONDERFUL employees that helped me today (6/21). They are the reason that I didn't get a refund and go elsewhere. They switched units for me, to one that better suited my needs, and let me actually see it before renting it..... P.S.- Just so you are aware, this is NOT the first time Ashley has been an issue. You might want to truly consider if someone who HATES helping customers and sees them as an annoyance, is really the best face attitude that you want to portray to potential customers

This is related to the overall experience. The first time I went in everything was okay. There is a woman that is employed there that was terse and seemed put out and bossy. The kid behind the desk was nice. No big deal. I rented a storage unit, checked in online and after seeing the space decided it was too small. During the night reserved a larger unit. Tried to cancel the one I had paid for and was transferred three or four times. Went back to the facility and the unit that was reserved online was not even available. Movers were on their way. The woman was defensive and talked over me (I was basically up all night being transferred around on the phone) and started getting defensive. She backed down, I don't get loud, but I got my point across that I am the customer, don't mistake my kindness for weakness. She made it right eventually, but the process of getting there was broken. The truck was also old and substandard. Would not trust it if I had needed it for more than a round town move. I will not use UHaul again.

The staff was so helpful, especially during Covid. During that time, while I was experiencing financial hardship, late fees were waived. Also, Amy called me on months I was late to personally ask why, if I needed more time, and to waive the late fees. It seems like a blur now, but things were so unstable during those Covid months after everything shut down and my unemployment was nine months behind. The staff, particularly Amy, helped me so much in keeping everything current at the Glenwood U-Haul. I really appreciate it.

I will never do business with this facility again. The man behind the counter verbally assaulted me He referred to me as sweetie, darlin, and when I asked to speak to his boss he yelled across the store to his manager “ I’ve got a real Spicey one for you while laughing at me. With other inappropriate comments and he kept laughing at me. The manager was not helpful and accused me of being rude and condescending. And that justified how I was being treated. I feel I was not as I was just asking how the free month of storage went I was cut off immediately and laughed at. There were 2 other men there who just shrugged their shoulders. I own 2 businesses in the area as well as a non profit. We own 2 homes in south eugene. We are always renting uhauls. I believe in the past month or so I have spent a few hundred dollars with this location as we are opening a new salon. I feel your location is volatile and extremely chauvinistic. I believe your manager sets the tone for the environment there. I have never been treated this way before. I will be leaving a google review. Looking through your reviews for this location this should not be anything new to you as it seems you have done nothing to remedy the situation. I will not be going to my storage unit alone ever. And that’s not like me. That’s how unsettling my experience this morning was.

THANK YOU STEPH!!!! The only reason I can say anything positive about my experience is because of Steph at the Glenwood location. We ran into an issue at absolutely every moment possible. The first day we got there will all our stuff, the original unit, which we were told would fit a one bedroom apartment (we had a studio), was WAY too small, and Steph had to walk us over and help us find a new one. We loaded everything into the unit and began our 3 week wait for our house. On August 1st our house was ready and we were ready to be moved in only to find the entire parking lot under construction and employees trying to tell us we wouldn’t have access to our unit that day. Steph was the only one who physically walked us around to a back gate so we could access our necessary items for our home. I was expecting to have all our stuff moved out that day which now was impossible, and my partner and I started work the very next day. My partner called and spoke with customer service to ask for an extension for our unit due to the construction and the representative in the scheduling department was extremely helpful. We were then told that the employees had no idea the construction was even happening and it was inconvenient to them as well, which is an awful thing to do to your employees in the middle of the summer on the first of the month. We are finally moved out of our unit and will never ever ever be doing this again. I’ll drive 2 hours to Bend to store my stuff at my friends house before I ever go to a uhaul for storage ever again. Steph you are a ray of sunshine thank you for all your hard work, you really went absolutely above and beyond for us multiple times. Please give Steph a raise seriously, I’m confident that she’s the only reason that building is operation. Thank you Steph!!!

Worker tried to convince me to not rent unit do to laziness, I assume, because they neglected to tell me they don’t support uboxes at that location and that my Ubox would be across town. The 2 out of 5 stars is for The customer service we received. And was amazing, the gentleman helped us look for a perfect size of storage and was patient and kind. Most storage rooms are upstairs, two flight of stairs and no elevators. I had no choice and had to get this storage since our uhaul was due. I preferred moving storage facilities because we would be working harder not smarter since all of our belongings are extremely heavy. I rated this place a 2 out of 5 because the positive stars go to the customer service representative who was amazing. The low rating is for the inconvenience of upstairs storage unit.

Not all the people working’ at the branch’s fault but when I arrived I was told my unit was most likely taken, although I had paid for it and had an access code. Apparently the online system overbooks units? Luckily I was able to get one but that is just terrible business practice and puts a terrible burden on your employees who have to turn down people who have reservations. Do better uhaul. If I had not gotten my unit I swear I would never use U-Haul again, still probably won’t, don’t want to drive 4 hours just to be told your unit isn’t available.

The staff was sufficient, so this review is mainly the frustration I’ve experienced with U-Haul. First my truck wasn’t available and now my unit isn’t available? Absolutely unacceptable. I had to change all my moving plans around and now have to take an extra day off due to the incompetence of U-Haul.

I did not expect to have such a great experience with a storage facility, I had some stressful circumstances going on and I am forever grateful for how helpful staff was, this place actually made things easier for my process and relieved more stress than they realized, staff went above and beyond for my family and I. Don’t go anywhere else, I highly recommend this Uhaul for your move.

I could never reach them by phone. Every time I would wait over 20 minutes to speak to someone, only to be transferred to the answering service. Very unprofessional in my opinion. And the stuff you have to listen to when you wait on the phone gets old really fast. I was also charged after I said I would not be. Still waiting to see if I get my $109.95 back.

You shouldn't have to wait a half hour to check out of a storage unit. Huge lines on weekends. Staff struggled getting people out the door. I was paid up until the end of January, but no mention of this on my final storage bill. Not good service

It’s difficult to navigate the large sliding door while moving in/ out, and since it’s located so far away from the locked/ coded entry door re-entering multiple times was a bother. Please consider an alternative key-code box at the sliding door. Thank you!

- the front office staff had his shoes off when I showed up and was unmasked. He remained unmasked when I wasn’t in front of the plexiglass and didn’t remember to put it on for over 15 minutes. Another staff member came in to the office unmasked as well.

Bad news:Though the staff were great, the office gets a big black mark for telling me the wrong thing about storage rents: I was told that no notice was necessary for vacating the unit, and that our rent would be pro-rated and the unused portion refunded. Not so! When we cleaned out the unit, THEN we were told "oh, sorry we told you that . . . it's not true. Once you have paid the month's rent, there is no refund even if you move out early." So beware..

I am completely done with U-Haul as there’s a 30 minute wait to speak with a representative. The move in was a joke where I had to push a cart up a steep little hill through a tiny door. I broke at least four plastic bins moving into a 5’ tall unit. This was the most difficult and stressful move in EVER! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It’s dirty, small and the access is horrific. This is the last straw in my attempts to use U-Haul. I AM DONE! Nothing ever pans out the way the website says it will.

Polite , helped me when I misunderstood the size of the orginal unit and helped me get the correct size I needed. Clean- very clean. Felt safe and secure - especially with the gated entrace to the units.

I booked my unit online & thought it may be an easier process than booking in-person but it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I had never been to the location and the gate was a bit hidden with all of the moving trucks in front of it. It would’ve been helpful to know which direction to head to access the gate. Also, it would be helpful to note to customer when online booking is complete that the unit will be ready for customer access and customer is to break the green ties that are holding the doors shut. I was a bit confused as I didn’t know I had authority to break the tie myself and had to request the help of an employee. Amy was so helpful and very nice. Besides these two little hiccups, everything else was great.

The worst thing I saw was employees helping homeless people into the storage facility. I believe some homeless were living in storage units. I saw one bring all his groceries to the unit, including a cooler with ice to keep his milk cold. That really isn’t okay or safe for people who are storing their belongings. Also, I saw multiple mice at the facility and most of the employees never wore their face mask. Overall terrible experience.

First the unit itself was difficult to find when I got to the facility. Drove around for a while before finally deciding to go inside and ask where it was. Then found that there is no parking right in front of the storage building and maybe 5-6 spots that were all taken on the other side so that wasn’t convenient for move in. Then the code we received wouldn’t work to get into the building so had to go back into the office. Finally we were able to look at the unit and it was too small so back to the office to see if they had a different one. They luckily just had one open so we went to that one. They had called it their “big door” but it definitely wasn’t big. It was maybe 5 feet tall and no lighting so hard to see to the back. But at the very back there was a small black box on the floor that said DANGER RAT POISON. I refused to keep my belongings and mattress there so just went BACK to the office and cancelled everything. After being there for an hour and half just trying to move in, I was very frustrated with this storage facility. Called a new one closer to home that had availability and the difference was night and day. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone.

Overall it was a good move in experience. The lone negatives I would say would be that there isn’t enough staff to help with the check out. The line got kind of long and due to the wait people got unruly. It was busy to the point where I went to another uhaul location just so the staff at glen wood could help the next person. The other thing is that there isn’t an elevator. So if you’re moving furniture, bring a friend with you. Other then those, the unit was really clean. The staff member who helped with how to access the building and show me where my unit was, was super helpful. The unit itself was very big and after asking around, I got an awesome deal

The storage unit assigned to me had multiple locks in place that the staff could not explain. I was made to buy a special lock, and when I was transferred to a new unit the new lock did not fit. It took over an hour to only somewhat resolve all the issues.

When picking the truck I told $74. Ran credit card/Debit card and $85.10 was charge for truck rental. Rental a U-Haul storage the same thing, told told $17.49 will today charge and was charged $20.49.
