A scheduler told me, when I asked two days before returning the truck, whether there is a grace period of time to return the truck, that there is a 2 hour grace period. Then on the day of, a different person, at the drop-off location, claimed there was no grace period (this upset me as I was driving and knew I would be a little late, but not 2 hours late. Then when I arrived at drop-off, they accepted my lateness. I just would like to know what the policy is, not be told one thing by one person and another by another. Very frustrating. Also, I was repeatedly told, in advance, and at pick-up "It's just $40 per extra day." Then when I kept the truck an extra day, the drop-off people were calling and claiming there would be "fines" for returning the truck late.... she acted like I had really messed up keeping the truck, quite in contrast to the "No problem, keep the truck, it's just $40 per extra day" attitude I got BEFORE I rented the truck. She claimed that she was upset because I was telling her "at the last minute" (about 3 hours before drop-off time)... so I asked her to define "the last minute" and she never did. I pointed out that I was never told to call ahead by any particular time (I don't recall whether I was ever told to call ahead at all...) regarding keeping the truck extra days... but I certainly was not told I had to call ahead by a particular time (4 hours? 12 hours? ) in advance of keeping the truck an extra day. If this matters a lot, then UHaul should both 1) instruct the renters clearly about when to call ahead to inform about keeping the truck and 2) make it EASY to call in to inform about keeping the truck -- right now it is an agony to speak with anyone, typically involving a 10 or 15 minute wait while being tortured by a repetitive series of UHaul ads and terrible music. When one is behind on a moving project, one may not have the time to go through that process just to tell UHaul about whether you think you might need the truck an extra day. The person who called in the morning to know if I was returning the truck that day should have called much sooner, if it was that important to her, and she CERTAINLY shouldn't be acting like I have committed a crime by keeping the truck, since I was practically encouraged to do so previously - "It's just 40 a day." She on the other had muttered about "fines." - seemingly a lie meant to panic me to return the truck right away, whether I was done or not. Illegal if you ask me, to make such statements. I was concerned about what she said, and asked a UHaul phone person what she could have meant. That person (this is after I have already rented the truck, and used one extra day) said that UHaul charges $10 per extra day for THE UTILITY HAND-TRUCK!! If true, that is rapacious, and IT WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN I RESERVED AND RENTED THE TRUCK AND UTILITY HANDTRUCK! That is called bait-and-switch, or breach of contract, I believe. She also mentioned (again, first I had heard of it) that there would be extra insurance fees daily during extended use. That would make the extra cost NOT "$40 dollars a day, easy-peasy" as it had been described.... this should be disclosed properly, as in "$66 a day, including the rapacious handtruck fee and the extra insurance". My clear observation is that UHaul doesn't mention fees in advance, then tries to charge at the end for undisclosed fees. Illegal.

When I need to get a uhaul I usually go to this location but after this last I probably won't, I brought the van back 45mins pasty time, the gentleman outside checking in van tolde since it was last I was going to be charged extra plus insurance, I ask him why and they lady inside that checked me out didn't say anything thisorning when I checked it out, he said cause it was late and that's what they do... So I went inside talked to a Brandon told him what had just happened and he was apologetic and he said that uhaul usually gives you an HR or 2hrs before they charge for the extra day charge, and I told him the guy outside said something different. Instead of fixing the problem or offering my 35$ back he just kept saying sorry I'm so sorry... But as a customer if this was the case or not it would've have been nice to know as a customer... With things are today with the covid and the economy money is tight and we are counting pennies to make a dollar...

I originally booked my truck to be picked up/returned to the Lake Stevens location, the equipment showed as available. The day before my reservation I was told that the location was changed to Everett, 5 miles further away. So I ended up paying an additional $15 because of Uhaul's equipment issue. Staff was very professional and kind. However, I wish someone would have informed me, if you have to drive through a rain storm, that anything touching the floor would get wet. Almost all cardboard boxes all the way to the front of the trailer, were wet and had collapsed. Other than that, everything else was fine.

online information need to be in sync with the the facility. Miss messages cause confusion like and they charge me another u box but I don't use or request. I now need to track them to remove the charge. No one seem to take responsibility to remove the charge from my card.

we rent 4 cargo vans at a time, the check out process is slow as each rig has the same repeated data entry rather than one entry with 4 vehicles attached. Other than that, the vans were brand new and very clean. Thanks!

Pickup was much more difficult than it needed to be. Waited 20 minutes for the app to process my check-in. Guy at the counter patently waited, but it was 10 minutes past closing time so he had to process the checkout himself. Had to extend my rental, calling customer service was a nightmare, hold time was 20 minutes. Return of the truck was absolutely rediculous. Employee behind the counter told me he was the only employee on shift and was not able to leave the counter, I would have to wait for another employee to arrive (he had no idea when that would be) or I had to use the mobile check-in. I attempted the mobile check-in, but my phone would not process the location barcode, tried multiple times, scanning and taking a picture of it, both failed. Asked my girlfriend to try on her phone it too failed. After waiting about 30 minutes for another employee to show up, I tossed the keys on the counter and left. I'm hoping the truck gets checked back in appropriately.

I had added blankets and a dolly to my rental contract. Upon opening the truck there were two sets of these which took up cargo space at the back of the truck. I don't know why they didn't tell us we could use the tagged items already on the truck?

Great service....met me out on drop off when I was 2 hours late and didn't charge me. They did forget to load the dolly ($7) charge that i wouldn't of used anyways so no biggy but I can see if someone really was relying on thst just to do some double checks before pulling out of the lot, we all make mistakes or forget something so all is forgiven.

Reserved a vehicle and appliance dolly online. Arrived to find that the location had no appliance dollies. Had to drive to another location where I waited in line for more than 20 minutes. Found that the vehicle, 10ft truck had no ramp. Found that the tow hitch was located in a place which made using the dolly impractical. When back to get next size truck, none in stock. Had to go to the next size up, 17' which had a recent price increase. Paid additional mileage because the original location had no dolly and a higher priced truck than needed. Will use a different company in the future.

U-Haul did not have the equipment we wanted anywhere near us. We had to use a larger trailer even though we reserved well in advance. What is the point of reservations if Uhaul does not honor them.

U-Haul advertises that their equipment is sanitized for safety. The truck was clean, however the Employees moving the trucks and working with customers on the lot did not wear masks. I suggest that you do business at another location if COVID-19 germs are a concern.

I have mixed feelings. My reservation was switched to a location 20 minutes away from the requested location. The text and call update from uhaul did got go through so I had gone to the original location only to be told I had no reservation. I was able to pick up the truck at the Everett location but was not able to pickup the truck until 10. Brandon at the Everett location was great but it was clearly understaffed. I had pre-ordered and paid for mattress bags online but I was told that the Northgate location should have provided the supplies even though my truck order had been switched to Everett. I was given the option to go back to the original location to pick up the bags or to pay for another set of mattress bags. I then also waited 20 minutes to get a dolly and had to go ask for help multiple times with no success. The online drop off did not work even with the provided order code. I tried calling the uhaul 800 number but it rang for 20 minutes with no response. I am very disappointed with my experience. I was so frustrated with the poor communication and how rough the entire experience was.

When you are doing the best that you can, it doesn't get any better and it shows here at Uhaul on Evergreen Way Everett Washington Thanks to Crystal an her co-workers i had an excellent experience with uhaul. I am deaf and Crystal did an excellent job accommodating my needs to have a successful day especially since I did not have any reservations for anything, I just walked in and BAM! Crystal made it happen. In and out I think took maybe 15-20 minutes top and I was on my way with a 10 foot van with a car dolly trailer behind it with no reservations! I was impressed with this Awesomeness ☆☆☆☆☆

Truck cargo area had very nasty gasoline or diesel smell. My furniture still smells. Clearly someone either did not clean this truck properly or used the wrong cleanser to clean this truck. Very disappointed. Rep at location upon returning was helpful but really could not resolve the issueOf my damaged furniture and possessions

Improve your online booking to be more accurate so that bookings are not moved further out at clients expense at per mile moving my booking 5 miles further from me cost me cost me $10 more in mileage charges.

Wasn't told that a text would be sent for my pretrip inspection. I had to go back into the office and ask if there was going to be a pretrip form and was told at that time that it should have been texted to me. When I tried to complete the form, I gave up after 30 minutes and 3 attempts. The 3rd time, the form froze up when I took a photo of the fuel gauge. Went back into the office and they gave me a printed pretrip form to fill out. Must say that the online form was very poorly made and not user friendly at all. I would suggest the office let you know that the link to the pretrip web page will be sent and that they go over what you can and cannot do to complete that form (such as only a certain number of images per view section, can't remove images once loaded, can't go back to previous sections once you're at the next section, can't go back to review what you've entered...)

The staff was very professional and courteous. We had a problem with pickup location and the employees worked hard to mitigate the issue. The facility also did not have the dolly we reserved so they gave us an upgraded dolly for no additional cost. I will try and use this facility EVERY time I rent a U-Haul.

When I got the estimate it was a mile from my house the puck up ended up being 20 miles away the only notice I got was from text so I wasn't aware of the change i went to the original pick up and was told to call customer service. By the time I was half way to the new location they cancelled my pickup because I was late dispute the fact I was on the phone with customer service so the only truck I could get was 5 hours later then scheduled. I lost my moving help due to the delay and did one less trip to stay in budget I was unpacking until 1 in the morning. The pick up change added 40 miles to the milage total and 15 in gas I spent a hour on hold in total very disappointed. The lady at the pickup point was very helpful and nice though

It was nearly impossible to reach anyone on the phone. Each call took more than 30-60 minutes to complete. Although I called the local number, I always wound up in the big 1-800 queue for a very long time, and then the person who answered had no idea who I was trying to return the calls to or how to help. I was transferred four times on one call, and I finally hung up after an hour and the fourth transfer. Never got the call providing a 2-hour window for delivery. Customer service left a LOT to be desired.

Super unorganized and wrong truck number with papers we were to fill out about damages and what not showed a different truck and number but also we reserved a 20” and they gave us and another couple the same truck so we had to get a 17 “ and made it super difficult and had to do two loads instead of one and just ridiculous

Charged me twice for an extra day even though I returned it on time. First charge was when I was there and the manager fixed it quickly and apologized for the guy outside. The next day I get a notification from my bank saying they charged me again for a late fee even though the vehicle was already gone so I called and they said they didn't know what to do and to call customer service.

Everett, WA. The male Individual who attached the auto trailer to U-Haul truck had an attitude. When I asked him to help us load our vehicle on to the trailer he told me that it was not a part of his "JOB DESCRIPTION" to do that. I had to ask him questions about the trailer. All he had to do was spend 2 minutes giving us an overview of the operation of the car trailer. We had to drive the U-haul off the property to load our vehicle on to the trailer with no help from the personnel at the location. The manager was of no help or value to us.

Mobile checkin is cumbersome and confusing. Checkout was long and price was not as expected. Clearer pricing would be a big improvement. It was double what i expected for a 3 hour rental and only traveling 15 miles.

I had my truck reserved far in advance. One of the clerks rented my truck to someone else who walked in earlier in the morning. I was on a pretty tight schedule and was informed I'd have to go to Kenmore to pick one up. It cost me an extra hour and a half, while I had 3 movers wait on the clock ($100).

Keep Crystal- she is outstanding. She was a super customer service professional. The reservation I made weeks earlier for pick up at this Everett location, to our horror, night before pick up changed to a different city and to evening hours - not morning hours I needed. Just terrible! Crystal addressed our concerns swiftly. Due to her- we will be return customers and refer everyone we know to this store. Thank you!- Jeff

I will never use uhaul again after this experience. The unit was given to me dirty, but I still had to pay for cleaning. And a random additional charge was billed to me without explanation last night. Never again, I'll just rent a truck from home depot.

I made my reservation on September 17th. I reserved a 20' truck for September 26th with the pick up location at the Evergreen Way location in Everett at 10am, I received confirmation of that. I was sent an email I believe on the 23rd that my reservation was confirmed to be picked up at a Lynnwood location at 6:30pm, I called in and had it fixed back to my original requested reservation and received confirmation of that, again. The morning of the 26th I arrive at 10am, waited in line for 20min only to be told that there was no truck for me. An employee had canceled my reservation and gave the truck to someone else and the only thing they could do was give me a 10' truck 4hrs later. I was planning on making our move with 1 trip and had arranged to have some friends help me move that morning before the rain started. My help had other engagements later and could not help me as a result of the cancellation so I had to make multiple trips, loading and unloading in the rain with just me and my 8 month pregnant girlfriend. The General Manager of the Evergreen location made no attempt to fix anything and gave the impression that she could not care less about the extreme inconvenience this caused for us. I was never contacted by anyone about the cancellation of my reservation but was told that someone tried to contact me the day prior, that was a lie because I had no missed calls, texts or emails from anyone and besides that, canceling someone's reservation the day prior is a poor move in general. We sold our home and only had the one day to move everything because it was a contingent sale and the seller Of our new home had to move all of their belongings from our closing date through to the 25th, which I explained when making my reservation. I will never use U-Haul again, I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone and plan on leaving negative reviews on every forum and platform possible. You are the absolute worst and treat people horribly.

I originally set my pickup to be in lake Stevens at 10am Saturday. I received an email saying the location was changed to everett and pickup time was now 2pm. I called customer service and was told that I had no choice but to get the truck in Everett but she did fix the time. I expressed my frustration and the representative pretty much said if you want the truck then you have no choice otherwise the next closest was 40 miles away. When we picked up the truck in Everett the I asked if we could return in lake Stevens and was told no because that truck belonged to that location. Overall an unsatisfactory experience. I would look for other companies next time I move.

Your booking system is probably one of the worst things ever. Show active inventory and let people reserve trucks so they are guaranteed they have one. Not so they have to deal with showing up and the truck not actually being there, or having to wait 5+ hours for a truck. It's not that hard, I write software for a living and I know it's not impossible.

I only rented a pod and never saw the facility. I would not recommend a pod. They are cheaply made, offer no security, and the inabiliity to choose when it will be delivered, is a deal breaker.

Being unable to access uboxes on Sunday was inconvenient, since I can only make it on weekends. That being said, the staff were very helpful & accomodated me on Sunday. Very helpful. Great service.

This was a nightmare. I hired Uhaul to bring 3 Uboxes from Chicago to Washington, only to find out on the day before delivery that they won't take them the final 50 miles. DO NOT USE UBOX.

The u box wearhouse is at the back of the building. No proper sign boards. And could not figure out where the front desk is. Was standing outside for several minutes before the attendant came out.
