We dropped off after hours, so I have no idea if the location or personnel would be recommended. I CAN say that the Uhaul app is terrible. It did not work at all and we had to rely on another customer dropping off their truck to help us figure out to use the webpage instead of the app.

I reserved a van at a local storage place in Redmond but they were closed due to new years day, however U-Haul still sent me over there anyway and claimed they should be open. I then had to drive all the way to bend to get a truck and was promised a comp on the mileage but two weeks later I was charged $60 out of nowhere putting my total cost for the U-Haul at over $200!! The van would have only cost me about $70 at most. I was told that there was a van available at the bend location which there wasn't. When I got there the box truck they gave me had both rear tires low on air and the second one they gave me had a headlight out, come to find that out as I'm driving home in the dark. I was also overcharged for the mileage when I was promised it would be matched to the van that I reserved that wasn't there. This was probably the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a moving company. I will never use U-Haul again. Use a moving service and save yourself the headache.

The 24/7 pick up didn't work. Website was down and was not ready when I was suppose to pick it up. I had to drive several miles to get the type of equipment I needed which meant I paid even more to move my items.

After reserving a 10x15 outside access unit online 5 days in advance, and being shown the unit I would be getting, I arrive on move-in day to find that my unit has been rented out to someone else. Additionally, they now have ZERO inside or outside units of that size. I was told I could pay $50 a month more for a 10x25 unit which I didn't need. But wait, the employee tells me that oops we already reserved that unit to someone else, and has to make a phone call to the woman that reserved it to see if she still wants it. By some random act of chance, she didn't, and I was able to get the 10x25 unit. Being that I am moving away in less than a week I don't have time to search for other available rental units in the area, so I'm stuck having to rent from the incompetent staff at Uhaul self storage of Bend. Stay FAR away from this facility. Either it's a bait and switch to get you to spend more money or the staff don't care to hold your unit for you after you already reserve it with a credit card online. Horrible customer experience. They didn't even offer to take any money off the storage unit after they made the mistake. We won't even mention that they have zero medium or large moving boxes and zero packing materials available in their store when I arrive.. Moving is stressful enough, this company only makes things much, much worse. Buyer beware.

The tires on the trailer were nearly bald causing the trailer to sway all over the road over my 300 Mile trip on snowy roads. The trailers door barely went up and down and was a huge pain to latch and last but certainly not least when we arrived to my storage unit to unload my boxes everything was soaked on the bottom of the boxes and multiple boxes bottoms fell out because the trailer was not water tight. Terrible experience with this rental and no one even offered to compensate for the issues upon drop off.

The 26' truck became stuck in the snow. I waited 5 hours in a snow storm for a tow truck to pull me out. Each hour I was updated that the tow truck would be there within 60 min. Very disappointing service.

I reserved a 26" truck 2 weeks before my move. 1 week later I received a call that no 26' truck would be available and I would have to take a 20' truck. According to Uhaul's own policy, "Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation. I never received this reservation guarantee of $50. For this reason, I will never use or refer Uhaul to anyone.

The customer service was excellent. The equipment was in great condition. The major problem is all the hidden fees! I rented a small 10' van to help my son move LOCALLY! I used the van for literally 4 hours, not one day four hours. I rented no additional equipment, boxes, rope, or tape. Just the van that has $19.99 a day plastered all over the side! I also returned the van in the same condition with more fuel in the tank than when I picked it up! The cost for 4 hours? $107.00!!!! Highway Robbery!!!! I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGIAN!!! I suggest you don't either, unless you like getting bent over a barrel!!!

My contact was helpful in disconnecting the trailer from my hitch but was very blunt and not the least bit friendly. He also offered no assistance in directing me out of the parking lot as I was in a very tight spot between equipment and others who parked their car that prevented me from maneuvering my car.

The people we worked with (check-in/out) were all great - I really appreciate that! The truck felt a bit battered and very worn (tons of scuffs, scrapes, dents), and it's engine didn't sound all that great... and the location is REALLY tight! I also rented a storage unit and would like to give feedback on that, but the link has expired.... Some I can give that goes for both storage unit and truck rental: Please be sure to leave the pathway to the gate CLEAR! Maneuvering the 20' truck around the carport and the trailers was challenging enough when the lot was full, but there were other obstacles at times as well, making it more difficult.

There was some confusion with the operating hours of the location for the Sunday morning return. I was scheduled to return at 7 am, but the location doesn't open until 9 am on Sunday. I could not log in online, so I just dropped the trailer off. The staff promptly checked it in at opening and there was no problem.

Checked in online to save time at pickup. Only 1 person was checking people in while others were in and out. 4 people were in line. After 20 min, she finally requested help at the front. After about 40 min standing in line, finally got the truck only to find that it had a dead battery. Had to repeat the entire process. Overall it took 1.5 hrs to get a rental truck even with checking in online before hand.

Very long (6-7 transactions), slow moving line of customers made getting to my reserved storage unit a 20 minute project. This was in part due several of the transactions walk-in transactions with little prep, research, or pre-registration done. The U-Haul rep, Michael, did a good job of trying to deal with this situation.
