Every thing was good at the location I picked up from. The staff were very helpful. The guy who hooked up my auto transport to the truck was extremely helpful and took his time explaining all the INS and outs of towing a car. Excellent exprienceMark K.
The gal we spoke with was very very rude at the get go. I made the reservation a month prior and all she would say is we are very lucky to have the truck and trailer we have. She also stated that she would not release vehicle if we did not return by 9am the following day due to "reservations:". I asked why did they tell me its ok to be late you're moving and you will be charged for the extra time. She then said well if you can't have them back by 9am she will not accept my reservation and then moved forward to tell me that if they were not back by 9 that we will Never be able to use U-Haul in the future. This gals attitude was beyond being very rude and very very unprofessional and then find out today after return this am on time "by 9" she double charged me!!! She is a very unprofessional person and rude to boot and inconsiderate of the consumers feelings during a high stressed time as it is, as well as made us feel like we were less important then any other customer and Had to bow down to her for allowing us to rent from U-Haul, Also the gas tank level she told us was very very inaccurate and we Paid over the rental to refill to "her" level. All in all Very Very Bad experience with the gal that helped us on 05/25/22.Matthew G.

The parking there is terrible. They parked a short van right in the turning spot to get out of the facility - then a car parked on the other side. I had to back up (blind) then go out the other direction.... thankfully no damage, but they need to enforce the no parking AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY NOT PARK THEIR VEHICLES IN THOSE SPOTS.Aaron C.

Not too much that can be done about it, but the parking lot is incredibly small, and therefore difficult to navigate. I do appreciate that the truck I rented was situated so I could immediately pull out onto the road though, so the lot size WAS taken into account in a way. So that is a very good practiceRachel M.

you're asking the wrong questions . it's nothing to do with the location nor whether it is clean and inviting. who cares??? I just want to be in and out efficiently. This was not efficient at all!!! But .... the people were working their butts off. We came to grab a trailer but we didn't have any of the wiring done. Olivia and Miles rocked!!! They both were so helpful and friendly. Miles showed us how to do the wiring and grounded it for us. Olivia helped put the trailer on, grabbed us tools, and found Miles to help us with the wiring. We couldn't have done it without them and we are so thankful they were there to help.Kaitlyn R.
truck needed windshield wipers after it was released to me. also, the dash lights did not work. auto transport has flat tire. when micheal came to repair equipment, he replaced 3 trailer tires and the fuse so i can have dash lights. i was rented faulty equipment which caused me much grief. i will not recommend uhaul. took me this long to relax so i can speak witghout angercharles N.

For beginners, I had reserved a truck over at the Ferndale U Haul. I arrived to pick up the truck and they tell me I'd been transferred to the Bellingham U Haul. When I came back to unload, and unloading takes time, we had. The last load out on the dock and it was 4:55 an announcement came over the PA system that said we had to leave the building and re enter after 5. I tried 4 times and could not get in with my card. I flagged an employee and she says " well you know we close at 5pm" I said yes but all the signs say 24 hrs access and my stuff is on the dock and my space is wide open and I'm not leaving until I can get my stuff in my storage and lock it in. The girl went and got someone to tell me how to get in. While I was waiting for the woman to come and tell me how to use the system, I watched the first girl I talked to park a U-Haul truck and while she was backing it into the space she crashed into the U-Haul truck that was parked behind her. Once I got the stuff into storage, I had to check the truck in ..not an easy task because the directions how to do it are not very clear. Your employees are in such a big hurry to leave at the end of the day they are running and rushing around and to hell with the customers that might need just 5 minutes of their time. Poor customer service and I'm not at all happy with it especially after having spent over $500 with you. Actually with the service I got. I almost just left without checking the truck back in. I was sent here because the first location didn't have the vehicle despite me making a reservation beforehand. I arrived at this one and a staff person rudely tells me I can't use any of the parking places in their giant parking lot. She told me to park on this sketchy ally with two wheels up on the sidewalk. I have a honda civic, I had to smash the shit out of my bumper to get it up there. All of my stuff was in there because I'm moving (hence the Uhaul) so I asked the staff if their cameras covered the area where customers park. She said no, the cameras don't cover that area.Jake K.

It wasn't anyone at this location but when I called the 1-800 number to get more information on after hours drop offs, I did the callback option. I got called back in the right amount of time expecting to talk to a person, but instead was put immediately on hold. Which kinda defeats the purpose of the callback. I sat on hold for almost 30 minutes before hanging up. Eventually found the answer / after hours drop form on the website.Steven B.

Upon returning the trailer there is a sign when entering with an arrow stating Return Equipment so I followed the sign and arrows. Then I was told I came in the wrong way. I saw someone do the same thing when I picked up the trailer. May I suggest removing that sign to make it easier on your staff. Thanks.Russell D.

Well, we had to drive to Bellingham to pick up the trailer we reserved due to the shortages that U-Haul is experiencing for one-way trucks. Bellingham was really helpful, friendly and accommodating. We originally tried to reserve a 20' truck, but the only one available for a one-way trip was in Spokane, and we live in Marysville. So, we declined having to drive to Spokane (which is already about 1/4 of the distance to our planned destination), because the monetary offer U-Haul made us to pick it up, bring it to Marysville was not compensatory neither with time nor money-wise. We understand the issues of stolen catalytic converters and fuel has been daunting, but there are still people who need to use U-Haul services when moving. Having to choose a trailer over a truck and pick it up in Bellingham actually worked out ok this time. But we will still need a one-way truck at some point, so hopefully/maybe U-Haul can get some security for their trucks to alleviate some of the theft issues. U-Haul still gives people the best bang for their buck, especially when moving companies are charging outrageous fees for their services that people certainly can't afford.connie T.

The check out process for after hours drop really sucks. Took 35 minutes to finally be successful Couldn't up load the pic they wanted or would say that the pic was too old. When asked to upload pic, it took me to Google pic with no way back and didn't upload pic and had to start the process over each time. Sometimes would say didn't have enough memory. Tried to call in, but Sunday night isn't a give they can help you with the message on hold that it would be more than 30 minutes to talk someone and that would be a late check-in. Tried the u-Haul-share sure (though in not sharing, just returning) and that told me to take pix but then you me not enough memory and has to start all over. Tried to do the chat but that says more than 10 minutes to get someone. Total waste of 35 minutes but at least they didn't charge me extra for a "late return". This has been a problem in the past, they need an upgrade, better instructions and a QR code on the paperwork. Having actual people to answer the phone and chat would be a plus.Larry N.

We found that the unit was adequate for our needs. The limited parking could have been problematic but we didn't have an issue. Also trying to reach someone on the phone was a bit of a issue but once we did our problems or questions were quickly taken care of.Jay G. | Overall Experience
I got an email saying my truck needed an inspection before renting a trailer. I called to schedule and appointment to do so and had to endure two long voice messages before being put on hold for 25 minutes to talk to someone, only to be told that an inspection wasn't necessary. Just to be sure I went to the rental location in the middle of the day, only to be told that the people qualified to do the inspection weren't there.Lyle A.

With regards to utilizing the storage here at UHaul Bellingham, I had a fantastic experience. It was my first time using a storage unit. From the first day, the person at the desk was kind enough to walk me to my unit. The staff was always so warm and helpful whenever I had questions about their services or hours. The prices were great, definitely the most affordable place around to get all your packing supplies. Though the location can sometimes bring unwanted guests, I never doubted the security of the storage facility. I also really appreciated that they offer an area to leave items you'd like to donate as your cleaning. Overall, the units were clean. I wish the storage units themselves had a light in them, but the hallway lighting was bright and sufficient to see inside the unit. Staff was great and location was great and easily accessible. I never once had a complaint with this facility or costs… everything was as good as I could reasonably expect. I hate having to pay money to store things but can't complain about this location, especially as my last storage experience resulted in the jerks selling my storage locker for Penny's of its value and then reporting me to collections simply because the lazy clerk typed a K in my email instead of J, resulting in my auto payment never going through and they never bothered to call me so I lost everything. When I initially rented the unit on June 18th the experience was good and when I went into pay my monthly bill it was ok as well. Then came the day we were moving out September 12th. My niece and great niece drove up from Puyallup to get all the the items in the storage unit#2527. They rented a moving truck from your facility. They drove it out to my place in Ferndale to pick up some items that I had to give them. It wasn't until we went back to your facility that we found out your elevator was not working. I'm 67 and a friend of mine, the same age as well as my to nieces were all the help we had. I went to the office and asked for help. The person behind the desk, I believe her name was Julz had no idea the elevator was broke down but there was another person a man, that said to Julz that it was broke the day before as well. Julz tried calling a supervisor and perhaps you as well. It was painfully obvious know one from your company deemed it important enough to react to her call. My wife also asked for help moving things and the man said they are not allowed to help move things. We struggled and got everything except 6 dining room chairs moved down the stairwell. Julz did the best she could but your team was completely overwhelmed. My Niece, Julie Casiano rented from you and I think you company owes her some money back as nothing about the elevator was mentioned upon renting the truck although in fairness, you crew likely didn't know we were moving things out from your facility that day. Tomorrow morning I'll be contacting your customer service dept and complain to them. It's really unfortunate this happened the way it did but point blank, it did happen and I think it needs to be addressed and corrected by either you or upper management. It's highly unlikely I will use your facility again and I'm hoping know one else has to be put through this. Parking and trying to get to storage was a challenge. We work during weekdays and only could come on Saturday or Sunday and could not back up to loading ramp. We even got stuck one time between others and trucks coming into lot. Can't the drive up entrance be on the other side near the street and storage on opposing side ? Just feedback here only. I had the unit for 8 years, every year the price went up! I would get threatening emails if I was a few days late! When I came to pick up my stuff, I had lost the key and needed them to remove the lock, I was told I would have to wait for at least an hour and a half before anyone could remove the lock. This was Sunday, at 10:30, the male that had been there before opening, went up to remove the lock, it took all of 5 minutes to complete the task! I was charged $50.00 to wait almost 2 hours and it could have been done at 9:00 am! I can not in good conscience recommend your facility or services to anyone!FRANCISCO M. | First Impressions

Dan Ackman was horribly unhelpful and made our moving experience extremely stressful. After scheduling months in advanced and being told multiple times we would be able to pack our ubox at the Bellingham facility we were told two days before that we were packing our box at Ferndale. We specifically chose to have a storage unit at Bellingham so that we could pack our box there directly from the unit. When we expressed our concerns to Dan he said that we would be able to pack there on Friday (7/16) as long as we were done by 5. He said he would bring the box himself at 8:00am and bring it to the Ferndale facility that night. We were extremely grateful as this saved us time and would make moving much easier. That morning we showed up and the box wasn't there and there was no sign of Dan. We talked to an employee who informed us that they didn't even know what time he was going to be there. Dan never showed an we were left scrambling for a way to pack our box. We called the Ferndale facility and they were not even aware that Dan had made arrangements to get our box for us. Dan had lied to our faces to get us to leave and left us with no way to get our box packed. Because of this experience I do not feel comfortable using u-haul ever again. The only good part of this entire experience was the lovely people at the Ferndale facility who helped us get everything in order when the Bellingham facility left us hanging.Jessica S. | Overall Experience

I met the general manager and he was great and can see why she is an extension of his leadership. She absolutely knows Uhaul, the services and navigation of the computer. Super skilled in time management, facilitation and captures her customers. My son and I were exhausted driving from WY to Bellingham WA, and she made the last stop very easy. 6th bad experience with uhaul.... I know a lot of people are moving.... but man at one location they did my wiring for my toe hitch wrong, another location the Employee would not wear a maskand wanted me to come in the store, at another location the employee wanted to talk to me about how stupid it is to ask COVID related questions. At this location, I had to call 4 times (the fourth time I was on the way to the storage unit) to confirm I had a storage, as the other three times, no one could find the reservation. The employees for the most part wore masks (at the bellingham store) but not always and did not when moving the truck I was about to get into (not happy with this). And I was supposed to have a free month storage, which I got, but I was only there like 2 or 3 weeks and when I left I asked them if there was anything that I need to do to close my account. they said no your good and then I got an email that said I was late on my payment. I called the UHAUL number and a customer service agent said that he would pass the message along to the manager and I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours, which did not happen. I called a second time to make a complaint, at which point he responded .... But man it has been like pulling teeth working with Uhaul AND THEY DO NOT TAKE THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS OF WEARING A MASK AT ALL TIMES AND KEEPING DISTANCE (especially AT THE EVERETT LOCATION.... the guy there walked straight up to me without a mask and took the keys from my hand. this is an insult to my safety and respect). I will let those know whom have to use you guys how difficult it has been to work with you and for the price I have paid, I would like to feel like I am being treated like a customer. I work in healthcare now and used to be in customer service and have not had good customer service with UHAUL in this past year.Chelsea B. | Overall Experience

I have had the storage unit since January 18th 2018 and just ended my rental storage August 31 2020. Rented storage room online. Arrived next morning to bring my stuff and had to wait 45 minutes to talk to someone because they were the only ones their until 11. Instructions started out ok until he told me he would take me down the first time then. Drew on the map and said check in here.
