Not have employees park personal vehicles in the utility trailer parking spots. A customer accidentally hit the stored utility trailer and it hit the employees parked car. I'm sure this is not covered by UHAUL insurance policy. I'd like to bet there is no personal vehicles allowed to park in the utility trailer parking. The manager wasn't there so I guess employees can do whatever they want. Other than that it was a clean truck. The checkout process could be better. I was told to pick up my furniture dolly and grab my 12 blankets by the counter clerk. They pointed where they we're at and I just assumed their was a dozen in the sealed bag so I grabbed it. Come to find out it was only 6. Lesson learned at this location. Don't expect much and question everything. I'll not be returning here since they told me I was banned from renting again.

Staff very helpful. I left the gate opener for my building clipped to the visor of the rental truck. I notified them and when the checked the truck in the next day, they found it and had it waiting at the counter for me.

The “self pick up” service was easy and I appreciated how customer friendly it was, however the staff that worked the Western and Carson (at around 1-2pm 5/1/2022 ) location were extremely unprofessional. I did not know how to return the U-haul truck so I tried to go into the location. There were 2 members there when I walked in neither one acknowledged me or let alone took the time out to greet me. Another customer stood behind me and they did not assist him immediately either. The two carried along with a cell phone conversation with another associate on the other line. I listened for another 5 minutes while they complained about how customers do not return rentals on time and how they're backed up because customers do not know how to tell time. I asked to be helped at that point after hearing the context of the conversation so I can return my truck and they can assist the next person who needed my truck maybe, I was ignored. Finally I decided to see if I could return my truck online and fortunately I was able to. The moment I turned towards the door they called the guest who had been standing behind me. I would hate to say this was racially motivated but I was HIGHLY dissatisfied and truly disappointed. I will not be using this location and I would not recommend any one else to use this location either.

Two days before my reservation, I was called and told the pick up location had changed because the truck I was scheduled to get was dropped off at a different location. No problem. The rep said everything had been updated on my reservation for me and I conformed when I logged into my account. The following day I got a text confirming the new location. Sounds good. The day of the reservation, I get to the new location and try to use the online check-in and the app says I am at the wrong location. Mind you, this is the location I have a text message and email confirming is my new pick up location. I go to my reservation and magically, the pick up location is back to the original location. No call, no notification. I call the location and they claim to have no idea how it moved and they have a truck there waiting for me. At this point, Ive wasted an hour trying to pick up a truck. I get to the location and no acknowledgment of the mistake or any offer to improve my experience, just an attempt to up sell me on stuff. The equipment was fine, clean and functional. No qualms there. However, the service was garbage. I dont think its the location itself, more uhauls app and reservation system that hasn't been properly rolled out and debugged. The way these reviews work though it seems like this will be attached to location instead of the corporation taking accountability for there system issues. However, they probably dont care as long as they are getting their 850 bucks. Lastly, after it was all over and I was returning the truck to the destination location in AZ (not Uhaul of Old Torrance), They had the wrong gas level on my account when I returned my truck. The app claimed it needed to be 3/4 full when I had a receipt and photo evidence that the tank was only 1/2 full when I received it. Not to mention wasting 20 minutes trying to get the app to accept the photos I had to upload for the return process. If you can find another way to rent a truck I might look into it, the experience of receiving and retuning the truck was awful. Using it was fine though.

Drop off location not provided until day of pickup. I was told that I could drop off in lake Isabella ca area. Was required to drop off rental an 1 1/4 hour away over a mountain range through switchbacks! Prior to pickup I called to verify drop off location because it didn't show on my reservation confirmation, I was assured drop off was in the lake Isabelle area. If I would have known the drop off location was so far away I would have made other arrangements. I will never use uhaul Again! I would like my $80 one way drop off fee returned!

Two complaints: the fuel tank was not half full as we were told and the online checking of the truck did not allow a dispute to the fuel level. Also the truck cab smelled of cigarettes.

This RO trailer has a warped floor that created some issues for us. It also has bent rails on the sides that also create some issues for us. It would be best for this trailer to be fixed as otherwise, it does create some safety hazards as it is.

I called and was told that even though the truck only had 1/8 tank of gas when I picked it up that 1) I must return it with 1/4 tank or be charged a service fee if $30 but 2) I would be reimbursed for the extra 1/8 tank. When I arrived to drop off the truck they acknowledge telling me I'd be reimbursed but said they changed their mind and won't reimburse me. When I did not appreciate that the guy got flippant and suggested I go for a drive and use up the extra 1/8 if that made me feel better.

The only issue was the check engine light was on in the truck when we rented it, the technician came out to check it out and said that the codes that came up would not interfere with the operation of the truck. In the end everything worked out and no issues with the truck

Location was overbooked, so I didn't get what I reserved online. Honestly, you guys should have some type of promotion for customers when that happens (e g free gas,free rental, free boxes, or next rental free.) Clearly, I like free stuff. But, who doesn't? The personnel where awesome though. However, I feel like they were awesome because I was hella cool. That's just how I am. Anyway, show more love to your customers when y'all mess up. Customer service. Peace

By no fault of your own, your parking situation makes zero sense. I figured there'd be a spot for me to park my car and then drive off with the Uhaul. Maybe you guys swap the car for the Uhaul in terms of parking, but there's nothing indicating so. I just parked my car across the street and walked over to main office. Return also makes zero sense. I know I went over my rental time and returned after hours, but there were 4 Uhauls in the "Return Area" and I barely squeezed my 10" in. Can't image returning a 20" after hours, holy hell. Overall good experience, but those two things bothered me.

The dashboard had a service light on that was for the tires I was told that was for the Tire pressure sensor that was not working. The inside smelled like Cigarette smoke and for a person that does not smoke this was horrid to be in.

Uhaul needs to be more transparent with their policies. Upon arrival to pickup my 9' Cargo Van, I was told by the front desk associate that I would need to have a picture taken of myself and my driver license.

We had very bad experience with Uhaul Seattle where we got the ubox delivered. At Carson we scheduled access to the box two days prior and when we actually went there the box was not accessible.
