The first location for pick up the truck never arrived there in Alameda. U-haul in Alameda sent us to Oakland's International blvd where we got the truck. The individual who was in charge there should look for another job,he was below SAD! He said we can drop the truck in any U-haul in Poway which was incorrect according to U-haul customer service. Our final drop off location at 13530 Pomerado was great,make sure you will contact them and congratulate them for great and professional service. The Oakland location on International blvd should be closed or given to new management,absolutely horrible and nasty and filthy location. Please send some high ranking U-haul inspector there and prepare for bad experience.Timo R.

Please do not modify my original reservation without notifying me. My reservation was changed from a 9' van to a 10' truck 15 min before I picked up the vehicle. No one called to notify me of this. It resulted in an additional 1.5 hours and paying for a Lyft ride to get the vehicle I had asked for. Fortunately the staff at the Oakland location and the Allsafe in Alameda helped me get the vehicle I needed.PAUL D.

I am usually happy with this location and rent here regularly. This time the truck was displaying a tire warning. The tires had to be filled and even after, the warning never went away. We were told it was a sensor issue and toIgnore. The truck also had used tissues in the front waste basket and the truck only had a 1/4 tank of gas. It seemed like the truck had just been dropped off and put back for rental without ever being checked. Very disappointed.ALYSHA C.

I originally had a reservation at a different location (Discount Auto 640 W MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94609) and when I went to pick up my truck, they didn't have it and sent me to another place where the truck was supposed to be. When I got to that place, there was only a 10' truck there and the office was closed. I had to call around U-Haul to get a truck that should have been at the location I reserved it at and am not happy about having to do that. Trucks should be where they are reserved from and it should be U-Haul's responsibility to make sure they are there. If the place doesn't have a one-way truck, but has the right size, they should honor the reservation and U-Haul can replace their truck from another location. Making your customer drive around searching for a truck is not the way to do business.LAUREN S.

Great customer service. Ricky was very patient and professional as well as the staff handed us the keys n vehicles. The only problem was that we wish we knew to go ahead reserve a vehicle too to tow the trailer. We reserved the trailer but wasn't aware that our personal truck wasn't equipped to pull a trailer. We ended up taking what's available in the lot instead of what we needed minimum to pull a trailer.Hetty T.

Everything went well. Staff were helpful. Equipment (truck and auto transporter) were clean and well maintained. There were no issues picking it up (it was ready) or during the drive (500 miles). I cleaned out the truck and cab. The employee advised that I take a water hose to rinse out the truck even though I had thoroughly swept inside. Also, this is the third time in the last few months that I've rented a U-Haul and the gas gauge did not match what was listed on the invoice when taking off. Everything related to renting a cargo trailer went very smoothly. The only hiccup was I needed a 4 prong adapter instead of my 7 prong connection. I had to pay for a connector which was easy. The reservation problems continued. I was told the vehicle I was returning was not the vehicle I was suppose to return and wasn't even in the system. Really? What, I have a fleet of UHaul trucks at home that I return just to mess with UHaul employees? Good Lord, could the process be any more ridiculous? Ultimately, they decided it was fine and they accepted the vehicle. Wow, what a insane process for a $150 truck rental lasting 4 hours!!!EDWIN Y.

My van was dirty - debris and food crumbs in cab. Back was cleaned. Luckily, i was not charged for this. Exterior of this van was in good shape. While the reps were quick to address my concerns when I asked, I was disappointed that my additional items were not only not ready (in side the van) as your instructions stated, but I had to go into the office and ask about them, only to be told that I needed to drive van to the building to get them loaded into car. This cost me time and then I was not able to get back before you closed. I wish I was told ahead of time that I could not be after-hours drop off. The drop off person was friendly and professional and let me known promptly what my charges were (no additionally) and that I was OK to go. I would try a different site before I went back here again. The Staff was not friendly AT ALL. NOBODY greets you or even says hi. It's almost like they are all mad you walked in, in the 1st place. Everyone is sitting around & going through their phones laughing about a meme. The young lady helping me was very informative about what I needed, so I can appreciate that. But from the heavy energy to the eye roll... #MYGOODNESS. Got in the truck & nothing was vacuumed or wiped down. Dirt in the Seats. The steering wheel, dashboard, cupholders, radio - all covered in thick grime. I had to wipe everything down myself with my own disinfectant wipes. ALL OF THE WIPES WERE BLACK when I finished. Upon exiting the parking lot, there was no exit gate. Only the entrance. It made it very confusing to get out. Even though the arrows were pointing in the opposite direction, I had no choice but to use the entrance as the exit. I would only tell someone to grab a truck from here if they really needed it at the last minute. But outside of that, it's a no for me.Keiera C.

I have used this location many times. Today's experience was better than usual, as I didn't have to wait in line a long time to get the trailer or get a receipt after drop off. One of the things that's not good, is that the yard entry access from the street is not very good, and there's not enough customer parking.Stephen R.
