My husband and I was discriminate by the employees I was translating to my husband in Spanish than we're ignore and they was complaining cause customers was walking in. The truck was not clean I went inside of the store and claim the truck was dirty with bottles of water, the seat splash with drinks, smell of cigarette and garbage on the dashboard. The guy came inside the truck wrap the garbage and just drop on the floor and walk away also I did a complaint that someone used on of the equipments. I have no choice cause the one that I reserved I heard them said they gave it to someone. The service was established on the October 13. They treat me with no customer service professionalism. First thing I came in the morning at 7:00am to rent my truck I had a reservation on for almost 3 days prior. When I walked in they must have misplaced the keys and couldn't find them. Instead of letting me know this they decided to just make me worried by telling me they were going to get me another truck with out an explanation. When they finally found the keys 30 minutes later they gave me a really dirty truck with only a quarter tank of gas. I mentioned this to them and they ignored me. When I returned the truck they changed me as if the truck was a quarter tank short. They were not friendly and very unprofessional. I would rather pay $100 a day any Place else than at that UHaul location. I asked them why they they didn't set up a hose and brush in the front to clean the trucks and they told me they just did have the time to clean them. You should train the manager to be a little more friendly and professional.Rodolfo V.

I'm not one to write bad reviews or linger on subpar customer experience, but today's experience was horrifying. Upon arrival, the staff at the desk was eating lunch with her bare fingers and while still covered in chicken and sauce, handled my credit card and drivers license. Second, I opted to refuse additional coverage but was told that - despite it being an option on screen - I could not rent a car without OPTIONAL coverage. I've never heard this before. Last, the van had an infestation of roaches. I would appreciate a call from corporate to discuss this matter in further detail.Maxwell S.
Terrific and helodul staff - but truxk was broken (brakes failing), what I reserved unavailable (i was forced to use a Huge truck, rather than what I'd reserved) and couldn't even return boxes I had previously purchased I will explore other options next time rather than using uHaulDaniel K.

The "Neighborhood Dealer" who I had my initial reservation set with was walled off with no access to a human, no signage, only an old rusty, broken U-Haul car dolly resting outside the gated wall at the edge of the roadway. I called from outside the locked compound and was informed that there was no trailer there and he was going to text me a link where I could pick up the trailer. I contacted the link which was another"Neighborhood U-Haul Dealer" a few miles away only to be informed that they too had no trailer for me. I texted the first guy back and said " Hey, don't you think you should at least check available inventory before you send a U-Haul customer across town in hell hole, war zone Miami for nothing?" I then called 800 go U-Haul, waited 28 minutes for a human to accidentally disconnect me while trying to transfer my call to more local U-Haul person to find a trailer for me. Called back, waited on hold for 37 minutes for the next human. I ended up going almost to Ft Lauderdale to get the trailer. The guys there were nice but, overloaded and couldn't take time to fix a simple broken wire on my vehicle's trailer light plug. I'm an old guy and remember when U-Haul handled trailer lights and even installed hitches. They wouldn't let me leave with the trailer with the lights not working so I left, found an auto parts place, connected the one wire myself. Back to get the trailer, back to Miami to get loaded. Total runaround cost me over 4 hours delay.john B.

Battery on truck died on us three times. Had to call several times to get someone to answer and they were unapologetic and quite unhelpful. Paid for dolly and never received one. Seatbelt on truck was broken as well. Truck was given to us on almost empty gas.Alexandra C.

to say the lease this was a very bad experience. the truck we rented was dirty & then we were blamed for not being returned spotless clean. it was never inspected when it was turn into Us. at the end of the day U-haul charged our credit card because we came back 40 mnts late past a time put into rental agreement when they never specified such charged will be asses to the rental for extra mnts on same day when we still have 2 hours before they close location they forcibly charge the credit card after a long argument supervisor not manager was on location to assist. nor was available next day to take care of claimed. we call customer services at 1 800 go ahual and we where 3 hrs on hold in 3 occasions whit out any result . finally claimed/dispute was open with out credit card to reverse and dispute charges. this was a very bad services.BISMARK N.

Horrible experience. First location didn't have my reservation, had to go to another location. Truck was dirty, over heated, ac shut down and transmission was rough. Spoke to GM, he was rude and pulled the race card on me, saying he didn't understand because "he's black".Jean A.

The employee was trying to tell me that my gas was lower than what it was supposed to be at. How did he know? By eyeballing it! Charged me extra because apparently he's the expert. N how are customers supposed to eyeball this and be right? There was no clear demarcation for a 1/4 filled tank. Why couldn't uhaul fill up the tank and make everyone's life easier?Madona J.

Customer service was extremely challenging with the attendant who processed my order. Certainly, she was particularly rude and obnoxious. Though the rest of the staff was cordial. This specific young lady was argumentative and blatantly disrespectful with her nasty attitude. I provided my Apple Master card which I have used for previous transaction with Uhaul (July 19,2021), she examined the card to ask me what kind of card is this and stated we don't take this kind of card. Her tone and her ignorant demeanor was logically inept and unconvincing. She alerted me of her positional experience in an attempt to validate her unsubstantiated arrogance. In fact, I can careless how long she worked there as proof that she knows what she's doing. Her attitude and her rudeness were blatantly noticeable to other staff members and other customers alike. This young lady is definitely not fit to work with customers or human beings at all. She is a an ailment to customer service and I would not frequent an establishment with her in the front office. Notably, my summative experience was rendered better with the attendants who received the vehicle. As a matter of fact, the young man and the young lady whom closed out my order were complete contrast of the previous young lady. The young man addressed the issue with the truck and offered alternatives i.e. cleaning fee or clean up the truck a little better. He was kind and customer service friendly. Upon my return following rinsing out the truck, the other young lady receiving the truck was super friendly and thanked me for my service. Overall, my customer service was marked by this super rude attendant, nonetheless the other two attendants were gifted in kindness and service to perhaps recover my service in the future.EMMANESSEAU L.

Make sure the truck you are giving to the customer is properly working. The A/C was out and one of the agents had the nerve to say â€œ oh it just needs a few minutes to charge upâ€ I said that's a closed system if it doesn't come on then it's an issue! They stated they didn't have any other 10' truck so I had to take a cargo van. They added the insurance to my tab and stated â€œ I had to have it, it's not optional, however that not what it says inside the pamphlet that I received indicating it was optional as long as it was a cargo unit. the first location I went to the girl was a bucket of smashed assholes. the worst person I've encountered in any business transaction. she lacked all and any customer service skills, interpersonal skills, intelligence, and zero empathy. The mirror broke off while shutting the passenger side door on the first day. The mirror itself was not damaged on the back or the glass broken, the whole thing just fell to the ground while the passenger exited the vehicle. While trying to explain this to the manager I was simply told â€œ no the mirror fell off when you hit something â€œ and was not believed that the mirror joint was obviously in poor condition to start with.Megan R.

Second time I make a reservation and the requested truck is not available. The change does not come with a rate adjustment for the original reservation. General manager not understanding. Always long waiting period to get a truck. When finally completing the paperwork the rep either had to help the person next to them or requests help to do a simple checkout because lack of knowledge of system. Very poor customer service at the front desk. The service representative wasn't very helpful, he left me at the counter to go chat with his friends outside. The other representative told me that the vehicle will not work even after I explained that they had the wrong vehicle in the system.ANDRE C.
911 was called...I along with my partner were threatened with heavy violence at the front desk and had to call the police. We were told we would be harmed and left laying if we didn't comply with parking the truck. In which had a poor mirror.Nathan Q.
Manager at this location is completely rude. The van I was given did not have the same mileage as the Equipment Contract. The van's odometer showed 19,409 but my Equipment Contract stated 18,458, a discrepancy of 951 miles! Before even moving the van, I immediately alerted the attendant and both of us attempted to update the mileage to match the odometer from within the â€œVerify Your Equipmentâ€ link sent via text. When we selected the field, deleted the incorrect mileage, entered the correct mileage and then pressed continue; we received an error message stating â€œMileage cannot be adjusted please see a customer service representative.â€ I even took a screenshot of this error message since U-Haul charges per mile. I also took pictures of the Equipment Contract beside the Odometer. The attendant wrote on my Equipment Contract the actual mileage when I picked up the van and placed his name beside the correct hand written mileage. I was assured I would not be charged for the discrepancy so I took the van and returned it the next day. Thankfully, the same attendant was working when I returned the van. While he was checking in the van, he was experiencing issues since the mileage wasn't correct. I only drove the van 24 miles but the system still had a 951 mile discrepancy. He brought this to the attention of the Manager and I overheard the Manager state that it was the customer's fault for not knowing how to enter the correct mileage online at pick up. According to the Manager, I should have corrected the mileage from within the link sent to me. Since I had the screenshot, I walked over to the Manager and attempted to show him the error message I received. I also stated that we tried his recommendation at pick up but the system wouldn't allow us to change the mileage. The Manager acted as though I was bothering him, did not stop fixing a shelf and not once did he even look me in the eyes. However, he did refuse to look at the screenshot on my phone. With a horrible and unprofessional attitude, he just kept telling me that this was my fault because I did not know how to enter the mileage. I tried many times to show the Manager the screenshot but he refused to even look. The funny thing about your Manager's statement is that I am a Director of Information Technology and my degree is in Computer Information Systems. But yet, according to your Manager, this mileage discrepancy is my fault since I did not know how to properly enter the mileage into a U-Haul text field and submit it. Clearly I'm not happy with this service. The attendant was nice and helpful but your Manager is not Manager Material. There is obviously an issue with this van. Thankfully, I wasn't charged for the 951 mile discrepancy but this whole situation was avoidable. Plus, you never blame the customer that alerted you of the issue for causing the issue. I can't place 951 miles on a van within 5 minutes of picking it up and without even leaving your parking lot. U-Haul seriously needs to work with this Manager. This experience will have me looking at Budget or another competitor the next time.Joshua M.

Customer service representatives were inexperienced and not trained properly. They would not move the trailer to a spot where we can easily pull out of the lot without having to make 30 turns. The trailer ramp was never secured and opened up right as i got on the highway. The person that helped up was not much help and was distracted with there cellphone the entire time i was there. During the rental they asked we physically pull the trailer into a parking space (a job that employees should be doing not me)Jonathan M.

I rented a truck, and the paper stated that the tank was 1/2 full; when I got inside, the take was at a 1/4 full. I brought it to the attention of the person I rented it from. He advised me to take a picture and send it through an app, which shouldn't be my responsibility! When I returned it I I informed the lady what occurred, and she stated that there isn't anything she could do about it because it's my responsibility to send it through the app. Again I should. I have to do that. Very disappointed in the poor service! I will never rent a Uhaul again and will make sure to post a review on Yelp, all social media I have!Erik C.

It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the CDW charge would be included. The van was also in need of an oil change. And it would be nice to have transparency around toll roads in the future. The young man (forgot his name. I had been moving for 2 days. 63 yrs old, doing a lot of the work myself and working on my job every day. With very lil sleep, tired and sore. I walked in he was slumped down in the chair, with what sounded like a personal call. Just looking at me talking on the phone for about 2 mins. No be right with me, give me a min, please have a seat, nothing. Another employee man walked in from the back, no hello, may I help you, nothing. Looked around went back in the back.
