The U-Haul on 4700 South and 4000 West is the worst U-Haul I've been to. They treat their customers like crap. They act like they are there to do you a favor and if you don't like it go somewhere else.cil S.

Lost a trailer tire due to road hazard in an area where data service was minimal. Unable to reach customer service via telephone (on endless hold), but eventually was able to request service using our smart phone. From there, the process went smoothly and when service did arrive, the mech was quick and friendly and got us back on our way in no time.Bryan W.
Two tires were very, very worn. I did tell the team member when I was checking the trailer in so hopefully they are changed. Nobody needs a flat because of bald tires and poor maintenance. I've rented from UHaul a handful of times and this is the first time I've felt routine maintenance was an issue. On the plus side, I was in and out of both locations in about 15 minutes. Best experience I've had with Uhaul. The three persons working there weren't joy to deal with, very courteous and professional. The equipment was ready when I got there, clean, and easy to pick up and drop off. Many times these days when you go to retail places people are distracted, they all seemed focused engaged in making my experience the best, which I know in return it will benefit the business because not only I'll come back but I'll recommend it to my friends. I'm very positive and love posting positive reviews but feel compelled to post this because it was so opposite of any experience at this location I had previously. Too few staff, too few vehicles, too many customers - one hour wait in line is ridiculous, especially after checking in online. Then a out 15 minutes because their systems were too slow, the cc machine didn't work, and staff kept complaining about how busy it was, how stressed she was, how much she would rather be homeâ€¦ all while I am standing there waiting. And to top it all off, I got text after text, even calls, wanting me to drop off the vehicle at a particular time, even threatening with $100 fine if I was late. When I asked about getting a credit for the hour I received the vehicle late, they got snippy with me â€œwe need it back or we will charge $100 extraâ€. Horrible people, horrible systems. Oh and the truck was dirty.Arno K.

Charged for 2 days even though I had the truck only for 5 hours. Customer service is rude and the manager has no knowledge of the rules and policies. Worst experience ever as due to bringing back the equipment on time I still Got charged for an extra day which I could have used to move the rest of my stuff.Rahul G.

The wheels needed balanced. Truck shook so much it vibrated the mirrors out. Also I turned in the truck the night before it was due hoping for a discount. Apparently that's not a thing. But there's fees for an hour late. I think reviewing that policy and offering an early turn in discount would be fair.Sadonna T.

This is the only location that I rent from. I have never ever had a bad experience here,. Roylee (I think she is the manager) was absolutely amazing, patient and friendly. There isn't a word out there to explain her outstanding customer service. She went over and beyond to ensure I was taken care of in more than 1 wayâ€¦ thank you Royleen for your kind and caring positive attitudeâ€¦ She made sure that I was taken care of and had what I neededâ€¦. Cindy Hakana threatened to upcharge my husband a cleaning fee because she didn't like how he was misunderstanding the total bill at the end. He had to call the police and then she dropped the charge. We had trouble with our reservation not showing up in our online account which created a problem trying to dop off the truck with the truck share 24/7 service. After several phone calls we hoped we would be reimbursed the $20 convenience fee we would be charged by just leaving the vehicle there without checking it in through mobile return. We were super pleased to find out the location checked us in manually the next morning without charging us the fee. Thank you!!!Marianne W.

This location is too small for the area. It's literally squeezed in on a busy street. Didn't have all the equipment necessary. I paid to have my car loaded on the tow dolly only for them to attach both straps wrong and they came off the tires the next day. The tail light on the tow dolly also popped off half way through my trip.Justin R.

The thing that could be improved has nothing to do with the location- they were very helpful and tried to get us into our vehicle as quickly as possible. The issue is that the software they are required to use seems to be very buggy, and slowed down the check-in process rather than simplifying it. The manager was very helpful in finding workarounds to get me checked in despite the bugs, so I'm grateful for that. I think Uhaul as a company needs to work out these issues before introducing software, and make sure they have the infrastructure to support software updates in every location. I want to reiterate that I doubt this would have gone differently at any other location because it's the same software, it's just something that wasn't worked out by higher-ups before rolling out new software.Ainsley D.

This is the only location that opens early in SLC, so it's ideal for all-day rentals; however, the staff is not working fast to accommodate more people. It always takes longer to rent from this location due to the staff not being proficient.Anet E.

Stacie did a great job. I was really impressed. She deserves a brand new and clean location to manage. Each UHaul location I go to is tired, run down, and or a mess. This place was slightly better. The office is overstocked with materials. The guy who hooked up the trailer was smoking. He eventually realized that wasn't the best idea and threw it away so I didn't have to have second-hand smoke.Tyler H.
