Today I rented the Uhaul and it was making a lot of noise. I tried calling the Uhaul place to ask if it was normal and I couldn't get through. They said it was a 20 movie wait to talk to someone. My husband drove it and the engine was so loud it hurt his ears. Turns out when we returned it, the employee said the Catalytic Converter was stolen from it and that was the only one left to rent. That was told to us after we returned it. Had we known that we would of went to another Uhaul location. It was scary driving it.

The person didn't know how to hook up the trailer. I had to do it as the chains were tangled. He stretched the chain to the point where I wouldn't be able to make turns with out breaking the chain or my tow hitch on my vehicle.

The guy at the counter was awesome but uhual service is the worst, the second time i experience this, it will be the last time. I booked a month in advanced, they called day before that I would have to drive 150 miles to pick up truck. Totally unacceptable, the rep on the phone was not doing job right I had to tell them multiple times what to keep searching for and I was able to get the truck I wanted within the same city. Then, the pick location said I could return it at an alternate location for a discount, it says on my contract also, but when I returned it the return location had no clue how to handle that kind of contract, again, I had to walk them through on how to figure it out, not my job. In front of the rep I had to call traffic center, that person also didnt know what to do, but I think they did and was just trying to get me to go somewhere else because she put me hold and came back and on my speaker phone told the return location employee what to do. Lots of stress when the stress of moving is already there.

Overall it was a great experience except the fact that they would only consider the fuel indicator and since the indicator didn't move even after filling up gas that i had used according to mileage and distance, I ended up filling up more which costed few extra bucks.

Pros: The self check-in and all the process to get the trucks just by ourselves is pretty good. To drop off the truck is was the same. Truck was clean. Cons: The truck is not a new vehicle, and it was vibrating a lot. I had always to make small moves in the steering wheels even though I was just going straight.

The Vehicles at this place are too old and stinks. I've asked for a few moving equipment rentals along with my uHaul and did reservation 30 days prior to my rental date but they weren't all the available when I went in to get my uHaul.

I think the equipment needed to be be inspected before giving it to the customer. My truck had a bad smell and the tires were low in air. Also, I had to wait for at least 20 min to get assisted, because the transactions with each customer took very long. Then the system froze and I wasted too much time, even though I hade made a reservation in advance. And I did not have any compensation for the inconvenience. I am not satisfied with the service nor with the equipment. This is the first time it happens, I hope I can have a better experience next time

Nothing really. Perhaps have more people helping with movements of returns? There was a line to return but nothing major. Every time I go to this location, it is a painless transaction and the clerks are SUPER friendly. Brandon is always helpful and always has a smile. These days, hard to find a business that provides friendly customer service and sends you out the door feeling confident with your transaction, so the service at this UHAUL location is much appreciated. Please recognize this staff accordingly,

Called ahead to confirm truck availability. But when arrived, the manager informed me that the desired truck (for out of area travel) was unavailable. Manager also did not provide credit for furniture dolly found in the final truck used.

Not much, this went as smooth as it could possibly go. Both gentlemen I met at pick-up and drop-off sites were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The process and agreements were clear and easy to understand, the vehicle was in great shape, the move and ride went smoothly, and the drop-off was as simple as delivering the keys. The hardest part was moving in the heat, but that's what I get for moving in July!

I have used U-Haul more times than I can count and I have never ever been dissatisfied with them to me they are a supreme company I've just always been happy with him they take good care of their customers my truck wasn't available it wasn't there when I needed it to be so they gave me a bigger one and they made adjustments when I had issues with my movers they just I really always very great they're great I will really good company I highly recommend them always always will.

I'm local. Rented truck used 10 miles, then ready to return. Filling up tank to level indicated on contract, ended to be 5 gallons (30+ dollars). Went back, explained 10 miles and 5 gallons of gas was not right. They took down mileage then stated I drove over 35 miles. Another scam for more money. Gave him my route and addresses and mileage to and from U-haul, came up to 10 miles. Then service man says truck was stolen and no way to reimburse me for money spent on gas. Being a good customer, always abiding by rules, and U-haul in Milpitas gets over me. “Nothing a big business can do for this customer. I even told them that I was a disabled veteran. Nothing. Their truck may have been illegally used by one of their workers, but I even the playing field, suckered in to paying for their dishonesty. Not going to move anytime soon and not going to recommend this place for sure. Show some customer service and have the heart to help those in need. They got robbed and they robbed me. Disgusted truly.

I tried to use Mobile Check-in but when I did, the link wasn't active so I Had to get in line to get my rental. Jay at the counter was very helpful and apologized for the issue. I was out of there in about 15 minutes tops. ¡Gracias!

There is a discrepancy in my charges. I just rode 10 miles but I have been charged for 15 miles. I filed 2 gallons of gas but I have still been charged for 4 gallons. I feel like cheated. I reached out to manager and he said he will get back to me but never bothered to.

When I rented the truck, I walked out. Took photos of the truck to show my friends what I would be driving for my move. That was followed by move photos for my protection. I noticed that the passenger side headlight was crooked and falling out. I showed the guy and he got me into a different truck. Thankfully they had more. I guess on an improvement standpoint, touch the headlights and other parts for losseness.

The vehicle I rented was dispatched at ~1/16th tank of gas, also had a bad steering wobble while driving at street speeds. At highway speeds it would wobble, not as bad but notable
