I really wish the self checkout process could be done earlier. I didn't know I would need my passport or lease and the verification made it complicated. But when I came in and talked to the staff, they made it so easy! The staff here is incredible and definitely exceeded my expectations especially on such a busy day. Shoutout to the two gents working. Great customer service, great attitudes, and I'll definitely recommend this specific location in the futureRichard F.

Absolutely terrible drop off interaction. The mobile drop off instructions clearly indicate to park the uhaul any where that does not block the entrance to the uhaul and to then continue the drop off process via the mobile phone. Once I arrived there was already a queue of trucks lined up for drop off extending out to the entrance and onto the road. As such I parked in a nearby empty parking space to continue with the mobile drop off. However a uhaul employee proceeded to tell me to park in the back of the queue of trucks which would've blocked the entrance into the uhaul itself. He proceeded to take the keys and attempt to park in the back of the queue, after realizing his mistake and that it would've blocked the entrance he proceeded to cut the queue and park in front of the line of trucks. Had he would've just told me to cut the queue and park in front of the trucks this would've been such a smooth drop off experience. After he parked the truck I asked if I could go inside to take pics of the inside and odometer to complete the mobile drop off process, instead he pretended not to hear me and did the drop off process himself leaving me there standing and wasting my time.Jensen L.

Using my mobile Android Samsung A52 can't complete the return truck process and got stuck at upload photo, basically, after Add Photo, the mobile app still show no photo uploaded. So I need to borrow another friend's iPhone XR to take photo and complete the truck return successfully. Please report this Android app bug to your Android app developer team. Also, 3 truck keys from other uhaul customers got stuck at return key red box, and I need to disentangle the keys and push all keys including my 4th key down the red box openings, so the return key red box needs to be fixed properly or replaced.Chinwei Y.

If you're renting a pickup truck to pull a trailer or rental equipment make sure you get the $20 insurance that is offered. Places will not rent to you unless you have insurance on the pikup.Kenneth K.

When I called the women I talked was very helpful . And the owner I believe (name tag said owner) was the person I talked to at pick up . He was also very help and also recommended a nice storage in Santa Clara that I later rented .Alex M.
My 1st truck had 0 miles to empty. No gas at all. As I drove across street to put gas the transmission sounded weird. Me thinking it's just cold drove it home 2 miles and transmission was slipping. Had to wait til next morning to switch out truck. They could of comped me for the $30 in gas I put into the 1st truck that I didn't get to use.. I always rent from this location with no issues. I didn't receive my receipt via email so When I went to get a printed copy the guy asked why do I need a receipt? That kind of surprise me but I told him because I need to collect the money for it. Then he asked me am I sure I didn't receive an email told me to look into my spam told me to look into my trash I told him I have already done all this. can I get a printed receipt please. I finally gave him my phone and said here you looked in my phone see if you can find it. I didn't understand what I was getting such a hard time just to get a printed receipt for the trailer. Very bad customer service not a normal guy that was there don't know who this guy was. But definitely gave me a hard time.David M.

You asked for this review so here it is: Why is U-Haul absolutely SILENT about the pandemic of stolen U-Haul trucks? I rented a 20-foot truck, packed it with my *entire household belongings*, and it was stolen. Several people have suggested there are employees within U-Haul supplying names and addresses to groups that prey on people who are moving. In the U-Haul store itself, you see no warnings, no guidance, no technology (GPS unit?) that might help to mitigate this kind of theft and the serious trauma it creates. One can search the internet to find videos or other content that warns consumers about this activity. But not one word from U-Haul. NOT ONE WORD. Unconscionable. A few of the individuals with whom I had to work after this theft expressed some sympathy; others were prepared with the stilted, scripted (and vacuous) language that no doubt U-Haul provides them to deal with distressed customers like myself. Empty words, just like my empty truck. My truck was located 6 weeks later by the Santa Clara Police Department, gutted. U-Haul offered to hire two movers in our absence to move the remaining items into a local storage locker. The "professional movers" stored several large furniture items upside down, on concrete flooring, some of which had contents. Seriously?! And the photos provided by the aforementioned SCPD showed a number of items that mysteriously disappeared by the time my husband and I drove back from Canada to retrieve them. Again, more scripted apologies, weak excuses, and very little customer support. All in the name of the bottom line, keeping those profits strong, using theft and insurance policies to keep everything afloat. Well done.John Andrew Z.
