I felt really bad for the employee in Malden. He was all alone and apparently my reservation was messed up. We had to spend a bunch of time going back and forth about the drop off location and timing. We also had to switch equipment three times based on compatibility with the hitch. I actually had to lift the trailer with the employee to get it on my truck. He indicated that he would credit me $30, but I never saw it. The trailer was rusty and really beat up. It jumped all over the highway as we drove to and from the pickup. It took me 45 minutes longer than expected.Eric H.

I did self check k in. When I dropped off a friendly worker who was out on break said he would take care of checking me out. I was glad for that. It happened so fast I thanked him and just said that I had the same amount of gas as when I left. When I got the bill I was charged for 40 miles. I know I didn't go that far as I made trips just to Melrose mass. I should've taken pTo to of odometer. I think. I just went 10 miles. My mistake I guess but disappointed.Paul G.

I will continue to rent from U-Haul as I always do but I will check the hook up the attendants do. I went the entire day with the ball lock completely loosened. I will likely need to buy a new ball now because it damaged the ball. Lucky I didn't hit a bump because the trailer would have fallen completely off.Andy B.

Our car wouldn't start after we had fully loaded it. It took roadside assistance 4.5 hours to come and help us. It was honestly a terrible experience.MUSSIE D.
The associate that was there towards the end was very rude. Trucks were coming in and parked in the middle of the exit path and while we were asking if the trucks could be moved so we could exit the proper way he had a very bad attitude.Natalie C.
My big problem is with the experience I had every time I tried to access my pod, it didn't matter if I called the main U-Haul line or the store directly, every time I showed up to access my pod having called the day prior they were surprised to see me, never had it ready, and often seemed irritated they had to deal with me. Plus, they only have a couple of fork lift certified employees, so you can't access it Sundays because no one fort lift certified works Sundays, but also recently I called the day before and when I showed up day of I waited a literal hour and a half for someone to get my pod out because the only fort lift certified guy was at lunch. Whatever their system is it isn't working, the only reason I moved things from my U-Haul pod to a different storage unit is because accessing it was such a nightmare every single time. The nice thing I would like to say is last year when we had the pod brought to our apartment the guy who did everything in Fort Collins was absolutely awesome, his communication was great, he was super helpful. Based on my experience in Fort Collins I'd consider using U-Haul pods again to move, but based on my storage experience in Malden I would never store one again ever.Kathryn C.

My Pick up location was changed the day before to a place a half hour further from me so an hour was added to my already long day of driving. Plus there was only half a tank of gas in it and not having a full tank meant I had to stop for gas which added even more time.Jay H.

You can consider revising your charging methods for overtime. I used the vehicle for Two extra hours (approx. 12hrs total instead of 10hrs of scheduled booking period) For two extra hours I was charged DOUBLE. It could have been proportionated.KishoreR A.

This was not my selected location. I could walk to the Somerville location but they cancelled on me 24 hours before pick up. Malden was great but the Uber to Malden cost me $50 round trip due to cancellation by Somerville. They lied and said they had no vans but they did and I reserved one month in advance. Broke my trust in uhaul. Malden guys were greatDOUGLAS C.

When I dropped off the truck during regular business hours, there was only one employee at the site with 3 trucks lined up to be returned. I was just told briefly a receipt would be mailed to me and I did not even have room to leave with my own car because the trucks were parked behind my parking spot of my own car.Livia C.

First truck was filthy. Had to go in and was given a second van that was cleaned, But this fan on the way down I had issues I had to call U-Haul roadside service, I requested a second vehicle was not honored with that, so Road side tried to fix as much as they could told me they were fairly certain it was safe to drive home, As did the manager and he said he would take care of me when I got back. He was not there the other manager didn't know about it he called him he did give me a credit but all in all it was just a horrendous experience, I was uncomfortable driving home due to the engine alarms that were going off and I feel like I was treated without respect to my fears. I stopped at another U-Haul in Bridgewater when I arrived with the messages of engine and he also said that I should probably not drive it back to Boston, the roadside assistance gentleman did everything he could he went over and above even offered to drive home with me to Boston so that if I broke down all I wanted was them to deliver me a new van and that request was not allowed.First question I was given by the manager was oh I'm glad you made it back safely how confident is that. Even with the credit I will not be back you've lost a customerMary K.

The prices told on the reservation were different from what was charged initially on the day I rented the trucks.Trevor F.
My reservation was for 11:30am. I arrived at the location at 11:30am, waited in line until 12:00pm, then when finally getting up to the desk was told my reservation was cancelled because it was more than 15 minutes late. I was at the locationâ€¦standing in lineâ€¦for 30 minutesâ€¦passing the 15 minute pick-up window, due to the line, I was in the store waiting and waiting. Now the pickup process took even LONGER than expected because my vehicle was not available. This experience cut 1 hour out of my moving time and was a huge frustration and loss of valuable time.Justin K.

We initially had a 24/7 reservation at Vins Auto Service, Revere, MA for a 6:30AM truck pickup. When we arrived and tried to check out, the Uhaul app/website said that I have to wait until 9AM for the shop to open for a hand delivery. I had a confirmed pickup at 6:30AM via email and I could not. I lost a lot of time trying to reschedule and could not meet my movers on time which caused me to lose more money on that front. The truck we picked up in Malden was very stinky - it was almost nauseating. The dropoff instruction was also very confusing. After I finished dropping off the truck on the app, some type of instruction for dropping off the key showed up for ONE SECOND. Eventually found the keydropoff box, but would have helped if we got this instruction at the checkin and checkout, or on the key ring, instead of the instruction being plastered on a random wall area at the uhaul location.DorHyun J.
