Clean the truck a rag was left in it along with a few other things like an old mask and trash from previous person and truck reeked of sweat and something musty back of the truck was dirt as well i asked for the 10$ dollie and received the 7$ Dollie which helped none and still got charged for the 10$ dollie and truck has previous damage from a crash on side pannel and was niver fixed given to me in the same way to make matters even worse do to the fact that the truck was never even wiped down my wife has been recently tested and came out positive with covid if you can read this i urge you to turn away and go elsewhere using and or renting the trucks here using the trucks gerr are not worth dying for ? I hope somomr sees this and is saved and or helped in the event of trying to prevent from catching covid hire pepole that want to do the cleaning job or close it down

The people working (I think one may have been a manager) at the location where I dropped off the truck were not friendly. I had an issue dropping off my truck and the personnel working there did not readily try to help resolve the situation. Instead, they just wanted to charge me for damage I did not cause. I then had to call customer service and the pick up location for assistance . Jennifer from the Lanham pickup location and the customer service rep was very helpful and nice, and both tried to get the situation resolved. Additionally, the employee inspecting the truck at the drop off location did not lock the back truck door after opening and inspecting it. Thus, when I drove to get gas the door flew open and the dolly that came with the truck flew out and landed in the road. Luckily, it did not hurt anyone or cause an accident. At the gas station, someone alerted us regarding what happened as we did not know the door was unlocked or even that the dolly flew out while we were driving. Overall my experience with Uhaul was not great and I probably will not be renting from here again.

Verification went horribly wrong. We were in line and thought why not use e-pickup well they weren't able to verify my contact (elderly father in law who's first language isn't English) We asked to try again that still failed. So now we have to go back in the line. But now the agent who tried to e verify is still in our account so the uhaul physical agent cant gain access till they leave the account. Oh wait were logged into our customer portal so we have to also log out before the physical uhaul agent can get in. Then he gets in finally after much adieu. Then we get call from the hired movers via uhaul, he overslept and is two hours away. I say come any way we'll see you in two hours. He seems to confirm but then three hours later never shows up. So we had to hire on the spot movers. The truck we got was beat up, the blankets are not washed, truck not sanitized I know this cause I can see finger prints on stuff.... And it was just a hot mess. I don't think Ill ever use uhaul again. Ill just fork over the extra money for peace of mind with professional movers.

The documentaton indicated that we would be able to check in via our cell phone. However, even though the setting allowed access to the camera, we were not able to get passed that step and we had to go inside. There was a long line and wait inside.

I've rented from U-Haul (This Location) before and everything went smoothly. This time I decided to try the mobile check out option. The process of calling your contact makes no sense because if they don't answer you won't get approved, (They don't call when you meet a rep who's on-site) and your reservation will be canceled. This experience was not good. I had to go inside where they gave me a smaller truck than I reserved and after I realized I told them and was made aware there's nothing they could do, (Even tho the Truck I reserved from the original reservation was still sitting right out side) so I had to take what they gave me which resulted in me having to make two trips and go over the budgeted miles! I reserved the truck for 24 hrs and ended up bringing the truck back early only to be changed an extra $20 for after hour service fee! Not only had to pay for this fee but the extra miles used!

The visor on the driver side was broken. Furthermore, there was a lack of understanding for my already terrible experience with u haul. This location lacks compassion and was rude. Not related to me specifically but there was a customer waiting in line to return their u haul before the close of business; however, once the clock hit closing time they didn't allow her to return the U-Haul. I felt bad because it wasn't her fault the employees weren't moving efficiently and taking their time.

This was a terrible experience. I spoke with several emoyees prior to booking. I was assured there would be no hiccups. I was unable to get my key at 7am in the morning on Sunday. The lock box was empty and customer service for an hour was unable to help. I was out in the cold trying to get my reserved uhaul truck. Then I had to wait until 9am and once I waited the line was terrible and long. The customer service was horrible. The man at the counter said I heard about it and came in at 0830 which is he was lying. This is not how an ICU nurse moving during a pandemic should have been treated.

Some people don't have access to locate the vehicle when getting to your store. and having to pay extra is ridiculous if we can not connect to your internet. So that would be something to change.

The initial person who worked outside when a customer picks up equipment would be rated average, not to friendly. The person who assisted with equipment returns that also installs tow hitch would be ranked excellent. 1/17/2021.

This is my Google review - If I could, it would be no star/poor customer service by manager Kim at the Laurel, MD location. Rented a 10 foot truck on a Saturday at noon. Truck was filthy inside - heard of Covid? I wiped steering wheel with a hand wipe before leaving parking lot and the handi wipe turned black. Paid for a U-HAUL rental dolly to help move furniture. U-HAUL representative told me dolly was in the truck. Got to moving location, opened up truck door and no dolly!! Small aside, the radio didn't work in the truck either. After several hours of moving furniture without a dolly, truck loaded up, shut the door and got in driver seat. Inserted key and spend next 15 minutes trying everything to turn the key, foot on brake, turn wheel, jiggle the key, etc and start ignition. With the key not working, called U-HAUL laurel location. Was told by the representative that they have problems with that truck's ignition and key and to call U-HAUL roadside assistance. To make long story short, it then took more than 3 hours for a locksmith to show up to take apart the ignition and make a new key for the truck. I continued on to my destination, had to unload the furniture, again without a dolly and then returned the truck after hours to U-Haul. Today - January 18, 2020 I called and spoke to the manager - Kim. Explained the problem in renting the faulty vehicle, no dolly, etc and wasting 3+ hours of my Saturday and all she could do, instead of practicing good customer service and making some price concession, she blamed the U-Haul road side assistance for taking so long to respond. I gave her the ability to do the right thing and she failed, hence this review.

Check in was great. We had a few tech issues checking in but the lady checking us in resolved them quickly. She even made us laugh Monday morning at 8am which is a tough ask. When I returned with the truck the attendant came right up, did the walk around and had the check in complete within five minutes. Overall, the perfect vehicle for the job and friendly efficient customer service. A great combo.

Customer service at pickup was lacking. I struggled to self service pick-up and the representative (person #1) wasn't pleasant when I went inside the location for help. Also upon returning my rental I forgot to put gas. First the attendant (person #2)said it would be $11 then he said it would be $30. It wasn't clearly explained it would be both the fuel charge and a service fee for a total of $41. I would've put gas if I knew I had to pay $41 for a quarter tank, Exiting the lot was a hassle because where the customer parking is was blocked by other customers returning their rentals.

The vehicle had a tire pressure light and was not cleaned correctly. When completely the check out it had me put 3 different numbers for the reservation and didn't accept the initial card I had added. It was way over priced for a 3-4 hour renting.
