I told the person the running lights on this unit were not working when I got the trailer they said to use it anyway. About 5 miles from the location all lights went out on the trailer and I had to do a road side repair on the trailer wiring. This made it where I had turn signals and brake lights back but no running lights. I returned the unit early because I could not use it at night because of this. When returning it to the location ant telling them this is the only reason I am bringing it back early they did not offer any solution. I ended up finishing my move with 4 pickup truck loads that would of been one trailer load. Very disappointed in the service and maintenance of uhaul as this was addressed at pickup that I needed the unit for 24 hours. Not 6. Still got charged full price and had to use twice as much fuel as I would have if the lights would of functioned. I did call to get it documented in roadside assistance that I conducted the repair they were very helpful and felt that this location was also wrong for not offering the other 6x12 that was on the lot. As I explained to them the guy who hooked me up made it seem like it was too much work to get it out from behind the other trailers. I will continue to rent with uhaul but this was a disappointing experience. This also was not the location that I reserved my pickup at so it was out of the way for me to pick up and drop off for my helping a friend move.Christopher P.

I was charged a $5.00 fee that other locations don't charge. I was told that it would be returned when I bring the rental back. I was then told by an employee that I would have to wait for 1 or 2 hours. I then said I wasn't coming back to this location and the employee told be don't come back.GREGORY C.

The staff here was completely unfriendly. It was like they didn't care to be there. The person who "helped" take the trailer off the truck so I could unload my personal belongings was on his phone constantly and had to be reminded of several steps required in order for me to drive my car off the trailer. Man, my overall experience with U-Haul for this move has been beyond unprofessional.Lee C.

I have to say that the GM at this location is outstanding in how she handles customer service. I was stressed and, quite frankly, irritable when I came to pick up the truck. She was quite helpful and didn't respond to my unpleasant demeanor. Instead, by the time I left, I was in a good mood and ready for the day. I will definitely recommend!!Frederick C.

I had to add air pressure to the left front trailer tire as it became apparent it was low after we began loading the trailer. The person assisting me with the trailer was very helpfulMICHAEL C.
Rented a truck lights didn't work and still got charged h a d to return it turn another truck and pay additionalWALTER W.
Was assigned a truck via the website to do a contactless rental, but as I was completing the information, the truck was driven away by another customer. Contactless pick up of the truck was no longer an option as I had to wait for the store employees to assign me another truck which they did. I was told the second truck was right out front and ready to go. It wasn't, it was in the very back of the lot blocked in by other uhual vehicles. I then had to go back in, sign another contact for a 3rd vehicle. The 3rd vehicle was dirty with trash and had damage to the front which made opening the driver door very hard. This experience with uhaul was sub part and will likely go another route with a different company in the future due to this.Daniel V.

I was there at opening on a Saturday morning. There was one person trying to handle two lines; continually bouncing back and forth between two customers. He was stressed, and it was beginning to show in his patience level with customers. I would suggest hiring an additional person to help manage the check-in desk.THOMAS B.

I arrived at the store approximately 20 minutes before closing to purchase propane. A Uhaul employee, Dickson Ampadu, refused to sell me propone because they were busy checking in vehicles that just arrived. I told Mr. Ampadu that I was willing to wait my turn, however he indicated there was not formal line and that I would have to return the next day to purchase propane. Mr. Ampadu confirmed that although the store sold propane until closing, however I would not be served. I immediately called the Uhaul 1-800 number to file a complain. I was told the manager, Kim, would contact me, however I have not received a call. While I was on hold waiting to file a complaint, another employee, Jeremiah Maina, approached me and indicated that the store could not sell me propane because my 100 lbs tank would be laid down on it's side to fit in my SUV. I informed Mr. Maina that I have previously purchased propane from the store without any problems. In spite of the terrible customer service and bad attitudes of the employees, I rented a trailer to transport the propane tanks because I had no other option. It was clear both employees were more concerned with leaving promptly at 7:00 pm than taking care of a long time customer. Uhaul's poor customer service and inconsistent policies are absolutely unacceptable.JOHNATHAN H.
Clean the truck a rag was left in it along with a few other things like an old mask and trash from previous person and truck reeked of sweat and something musty back of the truck was dirt as well i asked for the 10$ dollie and received the 7$ Dollie which helped none and still got charged for the 10$ dollie and truck has previous damage from a crash on side pannel and was niver fixed given to me in the same way to make matters even worse do to the fact that the truck was never even wiped down my wife has been recently tested and came out positive with covid if you can read this i urge you to turn away and go elsewhere using and or renting the trucks here using the trucks gerr are not worth dying for ? I hope somomr sees this and is saved and or helped in the event of trying to prevent from catching covid hire pepole that want to do the cleaning job or close it downFREDDY R.
The people working (I think one may have been a manager) at the location where I dropped off the truck were not friendly. I had an issue dropping off my truck and the personnel working there did not readily try to help resolve the situation. Instead, they just wanted to charge me for damage I did not cause. I then had to call customer service and the pick up location for assistance . Jennifer from the Lanham pickup location and the customer service rep was very helpful and nice, and both tried to get the situation resolved. Additionally, the employee inspecting the truck at the drop off location did not lock the back truck door after opening and inspecting it. Thus, when I drove to get gas the door flew open and the dolly that came with the truck flew out and landed in the road. Luckily, it did not hurt anyone or cause an accident. At the gas station, someone alerted us regarding what happened as we did not know the door was unlocked or even that the dolly flew out while we were driving. Overall my experience with Uhaul was not great and I probably will not be renting from here again.COURTNEY T.

Verification went horribly wrong. We were in line and thought why not use e-pickup well they weren't able to verify my contact (elderly father in law who's first language isn't English) We asked to try again that still failed. So now we have to go back in the line. But now the agent who tried to e verify is still in our account so the uhaul physical agent cant gain access till they leave the account. Oh wait were logged into our customer portal so we have to also log out before the physical uhaul agent can get in. Then he gets in finally after much adieu. Then we get call from the hired movers via uhaul, he overslept and is two hours away. I say come any way we'll see you in two hours. He seems to confirm but then three hours later never shows up. So we had to hire on the spot movers. The truck we got was beat up, the blankets are not washed, truck not sanitized I know this cause I can see finger prints on stuff.... And it was just a hot mess. I don't think Ill ever use uhaul again. Ill just fork over the extra money for peace of mind with professional movers.MICHAEL R.

I've rented from U-Haul (This Location) before and everything went smoothly. This time I decided to try the mobile check out option. The process of calling your contact makes no sense because if they don't answer you won't get approved, (They don't call when you meet a rep who's on-site) and your reservation will be canceled. This experience was not good. I had to go inside where they gave me a smaller truck than I reserved and after I realized I told them and was made aware there's nothing they could do, (Even tho the Truck I reserved from the original reservation was still sitting right out side) so I had to take what they gave me which resulted in me having to make two trips and go over the budgeted miles! I reserved the truck for 24 hrs and ended up bringing the truck back early only to be changed an extra $20 for after hour service fee! Not only had to pay for this fee but the extra miles used!Davean S.

The visor on the driver side was broken. Furthermore, there was a lack of understanding for my already terrible experience with u haul. This location lacks compassion and was rude. Not related to me specifically but there was a customer waiting in line to return their u haul before the close of business; however, once the clock hit closing time they didn't allow her to return the U-Haul.
