What a pathetic operation. On 10/27, the last of my 4 containers was returned to Uhaul for shipping.. That same day PODS picked up their container. PODS arrived AT MY HOME 11/5. 3 of my 4 Uboxes arrived AT Uhaul on 11/9. I called the next morning to schedule self delivery. I was told I couldn't pick it up until the next day.at 7:00 AM at 6100 S. College Ave.. Fortunately for me, I got a call from the storage manager who told me I couldn't pick up until 9:00 and the pick up location differed from what I was originally told. As for my 4th container, that is "scheduled" to ship today from Florida. THAT IS 18 DAYS FROM WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. There is no excuse for why it wasn't sent with the other 3 containers. I've spent about $4000 so far at Uhaul and now I'm going to pay more for shipping because the 4th box wasn't sent with the first 3. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED O0F YOUR OPERATIONS!!!!!!

The only issue I had was that they seem to be understaffed. I had to wait on the phone for a long time to make a reservation. But otherwise they were great to work with.

I got the truck a hair over 3/4 tank. I filled it before returning it to a hair before 3/4 tank. I got charged $16 for gas even though the tank was at the same level I received it.

had an issue when loading car the trailer tongue lifted off the hitch because it was not locked down right. took it back and they got it to tighten down enough. was told that other issues like this had happened and were due to aged trailers. might be good to retire or retrofit some old equipment - no damage in my case but it scared me.

I miscalculated what I needed and was under the impression that it would come off the total when I made adjustments picking up the vehicle. It did not as I am sure it is buried in the contract somewhere that if you are moving 10 miles or less round trip, you still have to pay $70 for a vehicle that is advertised as $29 with 6 furniture pads included. The vehicle sounded like it was going to fall apart any moment and was poorly maintained just from the sound of it. I never looked inside for fear of what I might find. The only saving grace was how nice the lady was behind the counter. That is about it. I hope I don't have to move anytime soon, but if I do rest assured I will not be dealing with U-Haul.

Having a U-Haul pickup truck made my move a lot easier and everything worked as needed. That said, the truck smelled old/smokey inside and it looked like there had been spills inside that were somewhat cleaned. When we were given the keys, the truck didn't have the supplies we requested (a dolly and pads) so we went back inside and requested them. When we returned the truck, we parked it behind other U-Haul vehicles in line at "equipment return." No one was or came outside, so we waited inside and were told that we were supposed to leave the keys in the truck and not bring them inside, but not given an explanation as to why. The person who helped us was knowledgeable, but not very friendly.

Granted I only NEED to rent a UHaul once every 3-5 years, this was by far my worst experience at this location. I understand the protocols have changed and things are different due to Covid, but this experience from start to finish was less than desirable. I signed up online to pick up a truck at 7pm on Friday night. I chose the contactless option, but when I showed up to get the truck, I tried to follow the instructions on the app, but the app said the GPS said I was at the wrong location (which I wasn't) and wouldn't let me do anything except call an 800 number for assistance, or scan some code that I had no idea where I would find such thing. So luckily the inside still looked open, (which is good because I could have seen this not working out in my favor had no one been inside) So I went inside, and there were 3 guys. One guy who didn't seem to be working the desk, and 2 others working the desk. The guy who didn't seem to be working the desk nodded me over to another guy who was on his phone (it was his personal phone and not the device that looks like a phone you use for the transactions). He looks at me and asks how he can help. I told him I wanted to check my truck out, but was having issues with the app. He didn't say anything about the initial problem, just asked for my ID and my credit card. He then started asking me questions about my reservation that I had already answered online. The quote he gave me was also higher than the one I had put in for online, but at this point I didn't care, I was just trying to get on my way. He handed me the keys, and said, "Here you go..." I asked him where I could find the truck and he pointed North and said "over by the antique shop"...so I walked outside...and I am looking around, and I see the antique shop about 200m away...I am thinking there is no way the truck is over there...so I go back inside and say, "Umm, you mean the antique shop that's way over there?" I point North like he did and said, "No, it's back here..." and he points to the EAST now...so I go outside and walk around back...I rented a 17 footer so I am just guessing on the length of the trucks at this point, and trying the key in all of the locks. Nothing is working. Finally I see the guy outside who wasn't working the desk, and I ask him where I can find the truck. He tells me the number is on the key, and I can find the same number on the top right of the truck....talk about some good info to have....so finally he points me in the right direction...which would have been to the south...pretty much immediately as I walked out the door...and I find the truck... I inspected the outside of the truck but didn't look inside the cabin before driving to my destination and open the door to find a dolly and blankets inside. This was annoying because he asked me if I need a dolly, straps, blankets, etc, and I told him NO. I even said NO when I made my online reservation. I wondered if this was why my quote was higher, but figured I would sort it out later. I had zero issues with the truck and it did everything I needed it to do, but around 9am I got a call from Uhaul telling me that due to security reasons I need to have the truck back during business hours...again, not big deal, my plan was to have it back before then anyway. I filled it with gas and went inside to return it. The guy inside was helping another customer. He handed her the keys to her truck and as part of his closing he told her where to find the number on the truck based on the number on the key...so apparently that is a thing... Anyway, I get up to him and I tell him I am returning a truck. He says, "Ok, are you good with an emailed receipt?" I said, "Yes." and he says, "Ok, you are good to go!" So I leave, and later that night I get a call around 630 from UHaul and the guy says, "Did you get our message from earlier about you needing to return the truck before 7?" and I reply with, "Umm, yeah, I returned the truck already...it was at least 3pm when I returned it 3 hours ago..." He says, "Oh....really? Ok, you must not have been checked in, I will make sure you get checked in." I got the email with my receipt around 9pm that evening. I checked the charges and it doesn't look like I was charged for a dolly and blankets, so that's good. I went over ,my predicted mileage so that's not a big deal, but I am almost positive my online quote was different than the one in person, and again, just everything from start to finish was a shit show. So again, I am glad I didn't have to find out what would have happened if I really was much later after hours to pick up the truck and the GPS didn't work. It felt like my reservation wasn't even processed, and then obviously my check in wasn't processed either, so had I not answered my phone the second time, I would have hated to face any repercussions of them thinking I had the truck for longer than I was allowed. I normally would never take the time to fill these feedback forms out, but this experience was too frustrating to let go. Again, it's not like I am renting a UHaul on a regular basis, but of all the times I have, this was by far the very worst from start to finish.

I lost half a day figuring out what was wrong with my car they said they couldn't give me the uhaul because the connection for the lights in my car was not working, after spending 6 hours on car it turns out that it was the uhaul lights that were not working and I couldn't even get the uhaul for 24 hours that i had to pay

I had to search for 20 minutes to find someone to direct me as to the place to drop off. When I found someone, he instructed me just to find similar size trailers and put it anywhere close. No assistance was offered. When I was attempting to get the trailer close, I did have another person come help. He directed me, unhooked the trailer, and moved it into place which was very helpful. I was also assigned a $7 wrong destination fee which should not have been charged. I was instructed that I could drop off at ANY location with no additional charge.

checkout was a Nightmare. The employee was rude as he could be. The vehicle had more dings and scratches than you can count in 2 hours yet the PATHETIC automated checkout only allows you to take photos and submit the damages 1 at a time.I asked for an employee to come check us out and they would not do it. checkin was no different. I wouldn't rent a uhaul again for any reason! I would move my entire household in the truck of my car before getting a uhaul. This entire crew that works this location needs to be replaced because more training won't cut it for this bunch !

I've rented multiple times in the last year. The check in and out process is always easy. Odd trend though is that I have always received a call a few days before that the truck I ordered may not be the truck I get. In the past I've had to downsize and even go to a different location or risk losing my reservation altogether. This time, the universe took care of me and the truck I wanted was what I got. Other than that, I'm satisfied!

It was a good experience, but one of the employees handed me a key for a truck that was behind a bunch of other trucks. So in addition to waiting 10 minutes to even be greeted at the front, I had to wait another 10 for the guys to move the truck out of the way. One of the other employees said, "If he woulda listened to me, you'd have this truck right up in front." That was funny, so it kinda made the experience more lighthearted. It was just a silly mistake.

We rented 3 U-Box containers. The people who delivered them were very nice and helpful. The containers came on trailers which we had not accounted for and there were trash and debris in two of them.
