I called the center to let them know I would be 30 min. Late for my drop off. Only option was to charge me another 24 hour rental fee. I was late and in the wrong, but there are too many options out there for rentals that one would think U Haul would have a little flexibility. Maybe a late drop off fee? This was supposed to be a mobile pick up and I had to go inside and wait for the person to stop arranging things on the floor to get assistance. I was on a time frame and had to wait more than 15 minutes to get the key for the van.MARY S.
This transaction was unacceptable. Uhaul switched our 8am reservation to a different location than the one where we booked. When we arrived at 8am, that location was closed, not scheduled to open until 9am. Since we had moving help scheduled to arrive at the house at 9am, this was problematic. However, an employee named Malik arrived a few minutes later, and he did everything possible to assist us so we were driving out of there in our truck 30 minutes later. Malik was superb. But Uhaul should not have delayed our reservation in that way.WALTER L.

Have used this service many times before and was disappointed this time because we we forced to pay more as our request which was a reservation for rental from Balt to Pittsburgh one way was turned into a Baltimore round trip at a significantly greater price because we were told we did not have a rental truck and that the closest place to pick one up was a hour and a half away from us in sutlersville md. Which would have added 3 hrs to our already 4 hr trip. I could see if this was a last minute request for a truck but it was reserved well in advance so it should have been accommodated. I feel like it was a attempt to jack up our cost to get more money from us. We have used uhaul at lease 3-times in last 4yrs and this has not happened before and I am not happy about it. Any months in advance people don't wait 2 days before trip to say no availability to my specified site!! Don't want to blame locationsite per say but overall reservation systemBRYANT C.

I would like to see EVERY employee in a company uniform. Upon my return I had an questionable experience with an employee who looked like the just walked up off the street and ask for my uhaul truck key. I used my better ju8and walked into the building and confirmed that he was an employee before turning the key over to him. Picked up 15 minutes before close. People had bad attitudes and clearly were in a hurry to leave for the day. Got about 2 miles down the road before the tongue came off my hitch. Didn't even tighten it down!! Spent over an hour on the phone trying to get customer service on the line. Still haven't heard from management. I dropped off in the designated area. No one came out to greet me and inspect the equipment. I had to go inside and the customer service person acted as if she was put out to assist me. She told me leave the key in the truck and an email would be sent to me. I did NOT like that as fraudulent charges could occur. My phone had just died so I couldn't take a picture of the mileage. I knew it was a little over. I never received an email. I would NOT recommend this rental location. Customer service was not acceptable. I did call the next morning at speak to someone (the live chat function online wasn't working on my iPhone) and the wait time was 35 minutes. At least I spoke to a person who helped me. As of right now I haven't seen a receipt email.Karen H.

Website for returns wouldn't work. Not enough return area for the location's demand. Also, why do you charge people for not refueling the truck if you're just going to give it to the next person empty? Super lame. 2/10. But you're pretty much the only game in town so I'll be back. And you probably know that which is why you don't care about making your service better. Transmission light was on the vehicle, drove rough, I know It was a big truck and heavy, I deal with commercial vehicle sales so I get they have issues at times but be cautious when giving out the vehicles, look em over mechanically before handing out keys. I made a reservation for a 20' truck in Glen Burnie Maryland. I was flying in from out of state to move all my belongings and UHaul called the morning of my flight to tell not only did they not have a 20 ft available but I would have to go an hour out of my way to get a 26 foot truck. What is the point of being able to make reservations if you guys don't hold to those? Luckily I was willing to drive the 26 foot truck but it is a big truck and I could see other people having issues with that. You mine as well make your policy that you just have to call the day of rental because reservations mean nothing to uHaul.Travis P.
