Transmission light was on the vehicle, drove rough, I know It was a big truck and heavy, I deal with commercial vehicle sales so I get they have issues at times but be cautious when giving out the vehicles, look em over mechanically before handing out keys. I made a reservation for a 20' truck in Glen Burnie Maryland. I was flying in from out of state to move all my belongings and UHaul called the morning of my flight to tell not only did they not have a 20 ft available but I would have to go an hour out of my way to get a 26 foot truck. What is the point of being able to make reservations if you guys don't hold to those? Luckily I was willing to drive the 26 foot truck but it is a big truck and I could see other people having issues with that. You mine as well make your policy that you just have to call the day of rental because reservations mean nothing to uHaul.Travis P.

Make sure that the drivers side door unlocks with the key. With our truck, once we locked the doors for the night, we found out that the door would not unlock from the outside using the key. We had to unlock the passenger side door and climb over the seats to unlock the drivers side door from the insudeMichael P.

The truck was very dirty inside and had the blankets not put back in the bag all over the back of the truck and I had to take time to fold the blankets and sweep the truck out before I move my stuff in there. Plus the manager Ashley was rude at first got to work late my pickup time was for 7am she arrived at 7:10am and two guys were outside waiting on her to start work . Myself and wife thought it was okay to enter the building we went in and she told us to get out she wasn't easy for us she will open the doors when she is ready . Plus the following day I dropped my truck off at 6:58am and she wrote on my ticket and sent itninna email I dropped my truck off at 7:39 am and I was way long gone from there and into another part of town. My wife called and spoke to a very nice lady name Lerissa and she helped my wife and gave us back our refund that was owed to us on the truck. Because Ashley charged my wife card for another day and the extra insurance. And I don't think that is even right giving that she is the manager and comes to work late because she on salary and have customers and the employees outside eating on her pulling up in her square box flex cross over truck wagon. I was a little pissed then and with the pandemic going still those uhauls need to be cleaned in between each person's use. That is nasty and so ridiculous for myself a customer have to clean behind someone else and not knowing they have the virus or not. I don't care vaccine or not I'm still waiting a mask and keeping things clean . And everyone else should as well. The vaccines only last between three to six months and that isn't a hundred percent guarantee about your health or mine. So y'all need to make sure that's a number one priority in keeping them trucks clean and safe for folks. Because remember not everyone got vaccinated and even if they didn't that is their choice and they shouldn't be made to get it and should still be able to walk around feeling that everyone is still keeping stuff clean and safe for themselves and others around them . The front of the truck was dirty as well but I had on gloves and had to spray it down and wipe it down as well. So no I won't be recommending you all to anyone I know and don't know. I will write a review online about how Ashley runs the store and then trucks not clean. David Rawlings .MARY R.

At 60 years old, this was my first move. Although a moving company transported the bulk of my furniture to a new home in West Virginia, I had some personal and valuable pieces that I wanted to transport from the Baltimore area. Anna of U-Haul, was very professional and personable! An asset to U-Haul! She helped with suggestions and was very knowledgeable to make this rental, and my move, easier than I expected. And I should be commended! I would recommend this U-Haul to anyone, and also use it for my future needs for moving items.TOD L.

Make sure the app allows for pick at designated time. My vehicle wasn't ready the night of pickup and i wasn't alerted to that when i arrived. Office was closed and telephone operator had no solutions. Wasted trip. Lost time and money on movers.KEON B.
I was given false information about insurance and about the quality of the trailer. I got into an accident and because no one else was involved or injured I had to pay 2100$ out of pocket for repairs. My boyfriend then has to come rescue me and his Uhaul got a flat tire. We were suppose to be at our destination two days ago. I will not use Uhaul ever again.Kelly B.

I originally made a reservation on April 28th for May28th. Later, I received a call indicating that my reservation was made for April 29th. After, speaking with someone I changed the date and made sure my intended location was chosen. On May 26th, I purchased moving supplies from my intended location and double checked my reservation and was informed that my reservation was moved 15 miles from my home. I asked him to changed my reservation to his location because the equipment was there and available. Furthermore, the cashier working there noted my account for the change and that I asked to be contacted but that didn't happen. I attempted to pick up the equipment in May 28th and was told that my reservation was moved to Edgewood, Md from the Rosedale location. I need offered to change my reservation while at the Rosedale location as well as bring it back although my original plan was a one way trip. I drove to Edgewood only to find out they didn't have the equipment. After, speaking with the owner and the traffic department I determined that Uhaul overbooked the equipment and subsequently cancelled my reservation. I was instructed to go back Rosedale to pick up the equipment I originally asked for more than 40 minutes prior. While this is taking place the movers I hired arrived and I am paying them to sit around because I have no moving truck. After another 20 plus minute wait I finally was able to get a moving truck.Ajene A.
Truck was dirty, the handling was bad. The staff were just hanging out when I got there, made me wait 5 minutes for no reason. Then gave me the wrong truck and had to generate a new contract when I got there since the truck they gave me had 1/4 tank of gas and 72k more miles then the one they were suppose to give me gas. Overall it seems like that location is poorly run and they are more interested in goofing off then doing business.Colin M.

There was an issue about the availability of a trailer hitch ball and tongue. At first I was told I had to buy one. I cancelled the order. Several days later, I came back and the ball and tongue were waiting for my rental, and everyone was OK with it being included in the rental of the Pickup truck. Very happy everything worked out. One comment: It'd be really helpful if Corporate upgraded the software to make the store clerk's job faster. The nature of the biz calls for minimal staff, so when a surge of customers hits the wait can get really ugly.CHRISTOPHER C.

We were moved to a different location, first truck did not work had to get a smaller truck. Delayed our move by at least an hour when we had people waiting for us. Long lines not enough workers. First truck was so hard to drive we only made it to the first road and had to turn around. We could barely keep it in the lane. Trucks should be driven and maintained between uses and checked for safety. Young lady working yesterday and mechanic that came out were very pleasant and tried to help the best they could.Kevin E.

The Self Check-in system/app was confusing or buggy. When I arrived and let the app check in, it immediately presented me with a screen identifying my Truck number and the Key Lock box number (Not the code, just the number of the lock box). When I went to the lockbox, it was open and nothing was in it. A UHaul representative took a look at what the uHaul app was showing me and said the truck must be "over there" and go look for it. That truck wasn't over there. Coincidentally, the app refreshed and it should that UHaul was still verifying my personal information. After a few minutes, the screen refresh and a new messaged showed a different Lock Box Number, the code to that lock box, and no truck number. I went to the lockbox and found the key inside. I then used the truck number on the key to find the truck. No problem. Long story short, the app, when I arrived to UHaul automatically showed me some random truck number and a lock box number - both of which weren't correct. It was enough to confuse me AND the UHaul representative.Jason P.

I was charged for fuel service and 5 gallons of fuel even though i clearly brought the truck back with more fuel in it than when I picked it up. luckily I took a photo of the dash when I dropped it off. Without the photo, I would have been scammed out of $55. i will not use this location again.THOMAS D.

When I picked up the trailer I rented there was a tripod type stand holding up the hitch of the trailer. No lift jack on the trailer. As I was hooking the trailer up to my truck I had to lift it up a little higher than the ball. The trailer went down on the ball and tripod which had some sharp edges cut my thumb pretty bad. I understand lift jacks on the tongue of the trailer get damaged and to avoid this the tripod is used but there should be a better way.JOHN A.

Customer service was not welcoming. I had to look around the lot for the truck. No one told me where it was located. The truck had bird poop on the seat and smelled like cigarettes. My daughter found a pack in the truck and we left them in there.TIERRA G.
The rental itself was ok... However the morning staff was very unprofessional to say the least... 1st off Katelyn was very rude and needs customer service training... She was not only rude and unprofessional to me but also the customer ahead of me... When it my was turn she attempted to say I had just made the reservation despite me having an email confirmation from 2 weeks prior... Once everything was done, I could not exit the lot with the truck because returning customers had parked the return trucks in a manner that was blocking the pass way... I went bck in to notify her that I could get out and her attitude was even worse; so much so that I asked her what her problem was! This all happened between 815/830.... Now I can understand if she had a long day, but my God, her day had just started... In my opinion she does not possess the proper attitude to wrk with the public and should probably seek other opportunities elsewhere!NIKESHA M.
