Rented a car transport with a bent fender and lots of damage to both fenders and I was charged for the fenders being already damaged even when I showed photos of the damage prior to the rental they said they were normal being damaged. The one with the step that folds out one strap couldn't even hold and opened on me on the freeway. Manager didn't even want to discuss or explain to me why the I was being charged just had a worked charge me on the spot . Bad on the manager for not even explaining to me.NICK B.

These questions seem loaded and don't cover most of the other experiences of a customer. For example the online order process, the availability of the vehicle rented, was the truck available as promised, was it t the location requested, and many more. I don't think I will rent from u-haul again.Jirair H.

It would be nice for customers to be able to drop off at any location and or city so customers wouldn't have to drive back from it was rented I think it's nice to think for convenience and satisfaction of customers; overall I was very pleased on being able to return it even do office was close since I was coming back from very far, customer service in the office when I purchased the service was excellent very kind and explained everything in a clear and nice way. The large truck key ornament (U Haul tag ) caught my knee twice and caused the key to turn the engine off. For a tall person it catches the knee.oscar O.

I would've gladly given a five star rating, but my issue came with returning the trailer. I am not fully adept to the technological day and age that we are living in, and I was very surprised to find out how much everything revolves around having a smart phone now. What do those that may not have smart phones do? It sounds like there is no option. The assumption cannot be made that everyone does have one; I only do because of work, but my own personal phone is pretty basic and not very smart. Anyway, upon returning the trailer, I followed the directions and scanned the QR code, but then the U-Haul website expected me too use another verification through the phone to verify that I was at the correct location, and even though I allowed the website to access my phone, it would never connect. The only option I had was to call the general managers number on the door and state my case. He was very gracious and accommodating, and I appreciate that; however, I believe other methodologies need to be in place in case one of these other systems fail, maybe like having a QR code that is specific only to that location or following some other verification via text. Otherwise, everything was flawless, and I was grateful to have a dependable and friendly U-Haul location to go to. Thank you for everything.Mathew M.

The guy that hooked my trailer up was extremely nice. No complaints except that I knew more about the trailer than he did. A kid at the front counter a few days before had NO BUSINESS being there! He told me that the trailer couldn't be used by my Motorhome and couldn't have my vehicle on it! He turned me away and said I should CALL the support line and order from them. Which I did.MATTHEW M.

I made an online reservation and the morning I was to pick up my truck I was informed the didn't have my size. I downsized to what was avail to me. There was NEVER any direct communication that there would be a mileage charge. I will never Use UHaul again. I find this business practice the most despicable of all, totally indefensible. Nobody I spoke with explained the fact that there would be a mileage charge which was three times the rate quoted.MARK R.

The location is great, and the member of staff who confirmed my order the day before was very helpful. However, the app experience for collection and return is absolutely terrible. The app: - repeatedly fails to load pages when clicking continue, which then requires resubmission of the form data. - applies photo limits which it does not tell you about in advance (and then you can't remove photos to replace them with more important ones.) - shows images of things that do not look the same at the site (e.g., the app shows a large yellow key dropbox, when in reality it was a hole in a window. This makes it hard to find things.) - fails to upload photos, which prevents you from continuing. After trying about 7 or 8 times to upload a picture of the odometer, and it failing, I was stuck and could not complete the return equipment step on the app. I had to load the uhaul website in my phone browser, and then went through the exact same steps and it worked fine. How does the uhaul app have worse compatibility for its own forms than a third-party browser? We had similar photo upload issues with the additional driver invite, which we just never got to work. These technical issues made the out-of-hours collection and return experience much longer and extremely annoying.James K.

The app for returning the car wasn't working and then I held on the phone line waiting for customer service for 30 minutes late at night alone in this dark parking lot. The key return window was not easily visible. Really upset with this experience. Cost me time and moneyELIZA L.
After receiving a call that the truck I reserved would not be ready at the original location, and being told that a truck would be available in Glendale instead, I arrived and was told that there was no truck for me. Not in Glendale, and not within 50 miles, even though I was willing to be flexible on the size at that point. This should not even be possible when someone makes a reservation more than a week in advance, and nearly derailed the event we needed it for, until another of your employees overheard his colleague telling me I was out of luck and figured out a way to rearrange someone else's reservation. Please fix your internal communication, and please train your employees to be creative problem solvers like employee #2 instead of telling customers that you're just not going to fulfill their reservation.WHITNEY S.
