The truck was good, but the staff at that uhaul is running a scam with the towing company. They don't have any sign in the parking spots that the parking is not allowed for the customers on the lot and then they call towing which charges $150. I am glad that I didn't use online checkout or otherwise I wouldn't even know who to call and where my car was. This was a terrible experience for me.Madhav V.

The truck I was provided was unsafe to drive and had to be towed away when I reached my destination. At the U-Haul facility on Columbia Pike, there was often only one employee working. I went there several times in the days leading up to my move to get supplies and noticed the office was horribly understaffed. Parking was an issue at this location, making it inconvenient to purchase supplies. The day I picked up my rental, there were two employees. The one who fetched the box truck I rented was more interested in smoking than helping customers. Maybe that is why he didn't properly inspect the vehicle before it was released to me. I'm a 60-year-old woman, but my safety did not matter at this location.Sara M.

DO NOT GO TO THIS U-HAUL!!!!! I went to rent a vehicle from them and as soon as I arrived I got bombarded by TONS of Hispanics soliciting out front, at first I thought they were trying to kidnap and abduct me but then they handed me business cards. Very creepy and uncomfortable you would think management would do something about the solicitation but as poor as the management staff is, leads me to leave this one star review! I get a call from "Aquina Lee" who calls herself the regional manager who starts the conversation by accusing me of "ignoring their phone calls" and said if the vehicle isn't returned by the next day she would call the police and report the vehicle stolen. Aquina Lee is so unprofessional that she doesn't give me a chance to speak at all until I have to interrupt her just to get two words in. I understand that these uneducated people lack customer service skills but are very well acquainted with "the big boss" so they get these high position jobs but this kind of repeated poor customer service will just hurt your business and eventually you will lose everyone to a more professional company with properly trained employees like Penske, Aquina Lee didn't sound like a manager at all she sounded extremely irate and unprofessional but I dont think it's completely her fault, by the way she carried herself I believe she simply doesn't come from good ParentingJordan E.

The check in and check out process is very laborious for the customer. I entered all my info online and it seemed I had to do more processing when I got to the location then had to take pictures and check over the vehicle. It made me feel uncertain and concerned I might miss something then get charged for it. Checking in the truck upon return felt similar. In an effort to reduce costs and possibly automate things I feel you are alienating customers. It almost feels like I am paying you for me to do all the work. Because the customer doesn't do this all the time and I have to figure out your app and the process everything takes much longer than if one of your experienced people did the work. I also found it very rude that the person checking me in kept answering non stop texts while checking me in. She also had an upset customer on the phone when I entered and had him on speaker phone. If I was that customer and knew others were listening in I'd be really pissed off. Also we waited close to 10 minutes for her to finish with the upset customer and she didn't even acknowledge our existance the whole time.Paul B.

I was charged 25 dollars for a cleaning fee and nothing was wrong with the back of the truck ? I don't understand and I was charged a fuel charge and I put the fuel back where it was !!! I need my money backpeashion W.

Columbia Pike location was great as always. But I am so angry with corporate U-Haul for the additional â€œsecurityâ€ check I got yesterday on Mobile pickup. I've rented 60 vans over the last 5 years and paid you nearly $20,000 for those rentals. Why can't your system or corporate representatives (chat) see that? And now you needed to see my passport or my lease??? Do you really think I carry them with me? Or call my workplace? Hell no. Or call my wife or a friend? What good would that do? How about showing appreciation to loyal renters?? Speaking of which, why don't you have a loyalty program? If this ridiculous security check is going to recur, then you've destroyed the convenience of Mobile pickup. And annoyed the hell out of a frequent renter. Again, Columbia Pike location is awesome. The manager really pulled out all the stops to help us get an appointment and then get parts from around town, but we were told when we dropped ot off at 10 am it would be available at 11. When we arrived, we were then told 4 pm. It wasn't available until after 6.ANDREA G.

There is not enough staff nor room to dropoff vehicles. A game of tetris must be played to drop off or for people to leave. The throng of day laborers is a bit aggressive as well and you have to shoo them off and away from your vehicles.Eric M.

Location had no parking and required offsite street parking. Rental items reserved and paid for (dollies and furniture blankets) were not in truck and uhaul representative acknowledged these items during check out but never explained if I was to get them prior to leaving with the truck.
