The service provided by Maddie was below average. I had concerns about the insurance that was not addressed even though I asked about it. I even repeated my inquiry about the insurance a few times, but when Maddie saw me get impatient, then she started to focus. I saw that my inquiry was still too insignificant for her to explain, especially the part about the optional insurance coverage. Those at the register should not send the message that it bothers them to explain any aspect of the truck rental. 2) My sister made the original reservation over the phone and she also had other concerns that were not clear. She has someone else at West 23rd street work with her. But we needed the truck rental to move furniture, so we had no choice but to make an agreement, even with a number of things that were still not clear. 3) Before having the customer sign, there should be a screen or document that identifies all aspects of the contract agreement. I was still not have clear what I was getting into. 4) I'm sure U-Haul is very successful, I hope my observations can help U-Haul become even more successful.JOSE S.

Mobile pick up was not working and we had to cancel and do in person the booking. The customer service associate was not friendly or helpful. She asked us everything 3 times and we were not provided with the dolly we needed for the move. The van was dirty and the amount of gas it had was not the one it said. Very disappointing experience. There was a arbitrary facility charge of $16 added to my rental for this location while advertising the van for $20 per day. Is that even legal while other rental companies are required to include all their fees in their advertised rates.Kamran J.

The representative who helped me at the location was not a human. She was like a robot. No expressions no smile. One word answers. I don't think she wants to be there. It's like a kid who is forced to do homework. After that I wanted some information. So I called uhaul customer service using the number on Google. And that representative gave out of a sigh of exhaustion of trying to help. My question was very simple and straightforward. One more example of someone who doesn't want to do a basic thing. I literally had to stay at one point â€œInstead of guessing, can you please look up my service contract and tell me what kind of insurance I haveâ€ . After that she handed my call to someone else Crazy experienceTUSHAR T.

Charged a $ 150 fee for damage of vehicle, despite showing the staff the existing door damage before renting and taking photos of the existing damage before leaving the facility. At the drop off the attending seemed unfriendly and disgruntled. Not a good experience. Sorry ðŸ¥µERIK L.
Location was great, but lack of signage + instructions on drop off made it confusing. Personnel weren't helpful in understanding drop off instructions eitherEmma K.

It's ferociously expensive. $100 to drive 6 miles in a vehicle that sucks gas like mad. I would recommend people look into more resonably priced options.Michael F.
The lock on the rear gate got caught up on the top of the back and we couldn't open it until we took a hand truck handle bar and wedged it between the gate and the roof to release it. Also, it would be nice to see an odometer to keep track of the mileage. However, I must say U-Haul offers the best price in and around NY! Also it would be good to let one know that you can enter W 23rd St. from the West Side Highway.Donald G.

The truck was clean. The staff was great, But the truck ran horrible, I believe it's the transmission or something. The truck wouldn't get past 35 miles and it struggled to pick up speed it finally did but it was terrible. I've never rented such a poor maintenance truck from you before. Plus the radio volume button didn't work it was too loud had to turn it offMary M.

The guy there that delivers the trucks out of the garage is rude, mumbles to customers and doesn't care. While I was there I asked for the keys to the car, and he responded by mumbling something I didn't understand and walking away. When I saw him again, I asked for the keys and he said â€œI asked you for the contract and you didn't give it to meâ€ and he continued to walk all the way toward midtown away from the shop. When I went in the office to ask for the key the lady said that he said I â€œdisappearedâ€ and didn't know where I was. Super unprofessional and not the first rude experience I had with this guy.RYAN M.
