Most of the employees were extremely courteous, but the manager present on Sunday December 5th at 9AM was extremely rude, inconsistent, and unprofessional. I had reserved a truck several days in advance, nothing in any of the emails gave me any notice that I would need to bring a mask to the specific location. I went into the location and waited in line with some people masked and others not wearing masks. The gentleman in front of me was helped out and he did not have a mask. I then went up to the desk to get my reservation and the manager told the person serving me not to let me rent the truck unless if I wore a mask. I had proof of vaccination on hand and I had already been waiting inside for over 10 minutes. I would have understood if they simply did not let me in, but the fact they helped out someone in front of me without a mask but singled me out was simply strange and rude. Fortunately someone else inside had a spare in their car, but I think your treat their customers in a courteous and consistent manner. I was polite and uncontentious throughout the discourse and if my move wasn't time sensitive, I would have gotten the manager's name because he should absolutely be disciplined for his actions.Nicholas S.

The vehicle we were given had a cracked radiator, which caused the engine to overheat and nearly started a fire. We were able to pull off the interstate safely and call in roadside assistance, but given it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend, that took a long time. Once we finally got home we also realized that coolant had leaked out all over our driveway and stained the concrete. After going through all of this, we were still charged the full amount for our vehicle. It was nice of U-Haul to come and tow the truck after it broke down, but the issues were caused by faulty maintenance and were not our fault. I would have appreciated them waiving our charges for the vehicle or at least giving us a discount.Zachary S.
Get a new owner, I walked in without a mask the owner told me I had to have a mask. I asked if he would help me from outside which he replied no. I didn't know if my wife or I had a mask in the car as a lot of business are not asking for them. I said â€œI'll fucking find oneâ€ and walked out to the car. This asshole comes out like he's going to fight me and yells did you call me a fucker. I said no â€œI said I'll fucking found one. My wife found a mask under her seat and when I came back in he proceeded to be a complete asshole asking for 2 references that he could call right then because of my out of state license. Which did not happen when I rented a tow dolly 6 weeks ago. He decided he would make it as difficult as he could due to his misunderstanding. I will never use U-Haul again due to the poor franchise management and your â€œownerâ€ who wants to fight a customer over something that wasn't said.GLEN H.

Reserved a car hauler due to a breakdown in Blackhawk, only Uhaul open on a Sunday- greatful for that but when we went to load car one of the straps was broken and too short to secure the tire. I called them back and informed them I would not be able to get to them before they closed as I was an hour away so I was already 2hrs into trying to get my car home. They told me to call customer service, which I did, and was told I'd be on hold for 45mins. I left a callback number but it was 2hrs before they called back. I was not going to be stuck on top of a mountain for two hours waiting for them to call me back to wait more for them to come and fix the problem, I improvised and let all the air out of the tire and was able to secure the vehicle. The strap should have been replaced before it was rented again-I got lucky because the strap was just long enough after de-airing the tire to get it to work but very frustrating to say the least. no communication between uhaul and movinghelp. uhaul never knew the pick up and drop off schedule. movinghelp asked me where the box was and where it was going. uhaul called me to arrange delivery at the destination while the box was already in my driveway. they didn't know it was there. movinghelp called me asking where the box was for them to pick up. I had to supply the info. also the first company through movinghelp backed out the day before the delivery and we had to scramble to get another movinghelp company complete the delivery at a later date and greater cost.Thomas F.

Tail light was out and I even picked it up at night so easily seen. Emergency brake was almost impossible to use unless you were a strong male. Gas was less than half full so needed to buy gas right away since I was travelling across town and would not have access if needed mid way.LINDA R.

I was not able to receive Uhaul text messages while checking in at the Arvade Wadesworth address. I spent 10min with a Uhaul employee double/triple checking my phone number to receive text messages. I even messaged a friend to see if I could receive a text message, and I could. It wasn't till I drove 15min away from the Arvade, CO location that I received 12 â€œThank you for choosing Uhaulâ€ messages. 12 messages because the Uhaul employee kept trying. Truck was very, very loud & emitting really noxious fumes due to NO! catalytic converter. Apparently thieves target them because they are not secured on the u haul lot. It's illegal to drive a vehicle with no catalytic converter. Doesn't this bother the company at all? Won't ever be using u haul again. Disgusting.MARJORIE S.

Clean the inside windshield. Replace the worn down wheels and frailed strap on the furniture dolly. Also, it's absurd to charge our credit card immediately upon extending our reservation and then requiring us to pay the full amount when returning the truck (not considering the 2 payments taken from our card already) and telling us that second payment to extend our reservation will be credited back to our card. I was expecting to pay for mileage and that's it. Also, we were told the pad lock on the truck worked and so we didn't buy one. We get home and discover the lock does not work. My husband had to stop helping me with moving and drive all the way back to buy a lock and when asked if they could start our reservation at that time, he was told no. It wasn't cleaned at all I'm short I had to find a tall person at a gas station to help me clean the windshield before I even got on the road. The front video camera was dirty I guess as I kept getting pop up things saying it's not working for the whole time I had it couldn't find the camera. Then there was a crusty ok'd burrito under the seat. Totally gross I hope I don't get covid or the flu for not cleaning it out also no one walked through anything. I couldn't get my phone to pair and the manual wasn't in the glove box for me to do it. This I had to not listen to the radio too as it didn't work. The van was brand new too.MICHELLE M.
