I wanted to do mobile check-in and when I completed the check-in process on my phone and was standing by my truck just waiting for keys, another customer came over and said they had just been issued keys to the truck I was assigned. When I went inside to investigate, the employee that had just issued the other customer the truck was rude and making it seem like I did something wrong when all I did was follow the mobile check-in process. Another employee explained sometimes their computers do not receive the mobile check-ins (which made me wonder why they offer it at this location). We were held up for 10 minutes trying to pick up our truck and had to go through the check-in inside (which completely defeats the purpose of a mobile check-in). The second staff member we talked to was very helpful and she made sure we got a truck and all the other supplies we needed. The check engine light was on in our truck and we made them aware and they said not to worry about it, which seems unsafe to me. We only needed the truck for a few hours to move some things into a storage unit, but if we were using that truck to actually move, I would have refused to take it. Drop-off was easy and painless when we returned the truck.Ashley H.

Break booster on the truck is about shot. Mirrors turned around while driving. Tighten down with a hex head and only loosen up 3 miles later. Truck was very underpowered and worn out.Shawn B.

Returning trailer we rented went like NASCAR pit stop! Bing, Bam Boom and I was gone! Doesn't get any better than that!ARTHUR F.
The furniture pads were not included in the rental. I forgot to check, so we had to make an extra trip back to retrieve them. Also, the after hours checkout process did not work. It would not accept the photo we took of the odometer, even though it was entirely clear with the numbers fully in focus. Also, there was only one person working at the location, so there was a long wait time to pick up the truck. It would be better if there were a lock box or something to allow fully contactless pickup via the app.Denny D.
When I brought the truck back. The exit was horrible. I questioned the billed that had doubled? The attendant immediately accused me of saying he was trying to cheat me. I never said that and he didn't want to look at receipt. Another person returned me out. This was the first time I had a blow out argument with an employee at this U-Haul. It wasn't necessary and made the whole return ugly.ANGELA D.

I wasnt sure what to expect - as I have never had a hitch installed at U Haul before. They did an Excellent job with the installation and really stayed on top of things. They had a problem getting the hitch I needed - due to COVID backlogs at the hitch manufacturer - but they kept on top of this and followed up frequently with the supplier until the hitch was received. They also kept me informed throughout the process - excellent job of communication. I would definitely recommend these folks for hitch installation. Thank you for delivering.gerald C.

While the truck we rented was ultimately functional, the rental experience could have been better. Opportunities for improvement: 1) There were no blankets available to rent. We had to purchase blankets. 2) The location I was given for my rental truck was incorrect, resulting in me loading blankets and boxes into the wrong truck, only to find my keys were for a different truck. So I had to transfer my items to the other truck. 3) The computer system wouldn't allow the person helping me to complete my reservation, so she had to delete my reservation and start all over, resulting in a much longer timeframe than expected.WILLIAM R.

Rude staff and the Uhaul reservation that was made weeks ahead is a joke. Our reservation for equipment and time was not honored as reserved. No compensation given for the mistakes. Very rude management. Don't waste your time with Uhaul we recommend Penske movers or Budget movers.brian K.

The wall in unit 7004 needs to be repaired on the right hand side near the floor, the cement is falling off. Uhaul corporate needs to help Staff to know what exactly the size of each unit can hold. The young lady who opened my account looked on your site & tried to find the info out but it doesn't explain/identify that clearly. For example, a 10x15x6 unit can fit a one to two bedroom apartment/home?! Yes/No?! Or is appropriate for a one bedroom apartment? I ended up not using your facility because you couldn't tell me that and that was vital to knowing if my items could fit. That is a MAIN point of improvement and also it would be nice if you can let staff know what size can fit as noted above. after hours check into return vehicle is cumbersome , confusing, took me more than 20 minutes to get any help. the web site is too cluttered trying to sell me stuff . should be a highly visible link right on first landing page directing me to how to check outGERALD P.
I reserved a apliance dolly. There werent any available , i went back in and told the cust srvc rep. I was told by her that i wouldnt be charged for it on my final bill. Recieved the reciept by email today and was charged for the dolly rental that i didnt get. I attempted to call into the store and was told by the answering ckmputer that my hold time was 50-60 min. , also the truck el1999 had a abs light on. And either a broken shock or cab mount on the right rear ,,,ERIC B.
Didn't like that I reserved a 20' van when I went to pick up they gave me a 26' van and then charged me more. Should have been same price as 26'. Then told me that online reservations aren't guaranteed, eventhough website states that.scott E.

The truck I rented had a broken belt on the right front tire, the transmission overdrive did not change gears until the truck was going 45 to 50 mph. It drifted off the road to the right. I'm so short and a large person that I needed a step ladder to get into the driver's seat.LINDA G.

While checking out, tested the brake, turn signal and running lights, did not notice that one of the side marker and license plate lights were not workingMICHAEL K.
I was supposed to get a call the day before my rental to confirm everything was good to go and I didn't. I called the morning of the day I was supposed to pick up to confirm and was told that they had my reservation but they didn't have a truck for me. The guy I talked to said he would call someone and someone would be calling me back. After 2 hours with no call, I called back and was told by someone else that they were going to upgrade me to a bigger truck for the same price. We specifically wanted a small truck so it fit in a space we had in the yard for it to load our stuff, but we didn't have an option at this point because it was 3 hours before pick up. I also had to buy my own lock for the truck because it didn't have a lock, and I feel like that is not my responsibility. I was also told there was 5/8 of a tank of gas, and there was less than a quarter, so I had to get gas as soon as we left the building. I will not be going back to Uhaul on Roosevelt Ave in York.Shelby W.

I would have rated this higher. But I booked my storage a week before my move. Unloaded my stuff to find out my storage room 1018 has a lock on it. My stuff is sitting in the hallway waiting for the lock smith to show up he seems to be busy these days because it been almost 24 hours. Also I questioned why My Im being charged 10x10 rate while my storage is 8x8. I was told the price board was incorrect. It also seem that the website is incorrect too. Bottom line I've been overcharged for a storage room, while my expensive stuff sits in the hallway.James S. | First Impressions
