The right door to the uhaul would not close all the way. I would shut it and two minutes later the door would wobble, and the open door signal would turn on. Nothing bad about the service, the employees were nice...though the car itself made me feel very uncomfortable

I made my appointment for a 7am pick up I got there at 6:45am I figured I'll wait 15 minute no problem well your employee did get there until almost 5 minutes to 8am. Also the vehicle they gave me had a check engine light on and I was not told so after I sign everything and took all my necessary pictures I get in turn the vehicle on get ready to leave and that when I notice wait that's a check engine light so I voice my concern they grave my rental agreement write check engine on it say you should be fine. At this point it's almost 830am so already been there for almost 2 hours I leave cause I wasted more then enough time and well I gotta move. Ps. The fact that i have to bring you back the truck that's just a money hungry move on your part just in miles I paid well over $180.00 because of this reason and again you wasted more of my time having to do that so no I dont think will be recommending sall mill river location to anyone.

The two young men working June 30th, 2019 around 1:30pm were RUDE! unwelcoming, demanding and didn't even bother to allow us inside the premises. Their exact words were "just leave it there with the keys" and proceeded to talk about how the customer inside was waiting and we took too long, how they don't understand why people always do this ... etc. Very negative!!!!! We did not purposely return the truck late! We were trying our best to travel from one state to the next and the truck was not large enough, nor was our storage room so we had a lot of issues and tried our best! But the customer service reps wouldn't know any of it because they dismissed us before we could even say HELLO! I will NEVER ever again use Uhaul! This is so upsetting!

pricing is not what shows. prices are incredibly high for what I used it for. only made 1 trip from yonkers to Harrison and it cost me over 120.00

Hi I rented a van and they gave me a Van with not AC. I claimed to the person who received the Van, because is not fair, I paid to have a Van in good conditions, in he told me to call the manager to speak to her.

Extremely long wait on line. They need more staff especially on the weekend when people are coming to rent units or buy packing supplies it makes the wait for people with reservations entirely to long.

For the second time, I was charged extra money for putting "extra mileage" on the route to my destination that I guess must have been calculated by Uhaul's computer system? The shortest route to my location was on a parkway...which Uhauls can't use. The rep at the drop off location had "no idea" why I got charged the extra mileage, he just knew I had to pay it. Your company is not helpful. I'll go with Penske, Budget, or Enterprise in the future.

I made a reservation and did a pre-check in but still had to stand in line. Not happy with that. They required a photo of my license despite having my license number. Not happy with that. Evidently the vent cover in the truck was missing in the cab. I didn't notice it but when I returned it, the guy blamed me for it. I literally never left the truck, except when I locked it to use the bathroom at home, from the moment I rented it until I returned it, so I it must've been gone when I rented it. After standing in line and running late, the last thing I thought to look for was a vent cover in the cab of the truck. Last of all, the right side mirror on the truck was wobbly. It was not cool driving it when it would move from time to time. My experience renting a truck last year from a different location was far better. Just saying. The people who work at this location were very nice and helpful, though. My dissatisfaction had nothing to do with them. They were great.

On holiday weekends they should have more than two people at the counter with 6 customers waiting. Also, you advertise $19.95 a day local rentals plus mileage fees. We paid $135! Huh?

A uhaul rep never called to tell me where to return uhaul as was supposed to happen. It creates a lot of confusion at end of trip and I had to guess which Yonkers location to use. Your after hours online drop off instructions are very confusing. This resulted in a very poor overall experience as it created a lot of confusion at end of long trip

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Booked a truck for after hours, it was not “staged” so I paid for a ride to pick up a truck that was not ready. Went back the next day and the associate wouldn’t even pull up my account or acknowledged their error. There was the exact truck I needed in the parking lot and he said I could not have it because it was for one way only. He sent me to another location miles further away adding to my cost and taking away more time from my move. That location couldn’t care less that I was inconvenienced and they did not even have the truck I was told they did till someone returned one a few minutes later. I was supposed to be credited 50$ reservation guarantee, days later I don’t have it, the regional manager was supposed to contact me , still hasn’t. By the time I got the truck my movers were gone so I couldn’t even load the truck anymore I wasted 53$ For the truck and more$ for the moving help. I’m a single dad who works 2 jobs I don’t have extra time off at my connivence. The associates were condescending, arrogant, and absolutely unwilling to admit fault or compensate. I will never use this company again, I’ll be sure to tell everyone in my community, at the school and social functions about this. On a last note I called the 1800# to see about help. They state they record all calls and can provide transcripts of said calls. I informed the lady I spoke with I wanted a copy at the beginning of the call. At the end she said she could not provide one because she “ couldn’t access the system “ just another excuse to hide the extremely poor experience/service. I have already contacted the BBB to file a complaint with them.

Front desk clerk was not too friendly, nor knowledgeable. We asked him for the inside height of the van. He said 7’, so we assumed that it would fit it it didn’t and couldn’t pick up our fence.

Disappointed with your company. Why would you let me reserve a time for 8am at a store that wasn’t opened until 9? Made my move day very inconvenient sitting out front the store in the rain. And when I spoke with customer service to speak to scheduling department I got no answer!

The previous renter of the trailer left the bed covered with dirt which was packed down and difficult for the U-HAUL representative to remove. Luckily, the use I had for the trailer (carrying my small sailboat) didn't require it to be clean.

When I picked up my rental the gas was incorrect. The paper read a half tank but it actually was significantly less than half. I reported it to the gentleman who was there. He said to take a picture, which I did. When I dropped the rental off I actually filled it to half tank. To my surprise I was still charged for gas. The woman who I rented my truck from was very friendly and helpful.

Making sure that if customers opt for picking up equipment after hours that the key to the equipment / is put where the instructions say the key will be. If staff don't put the keys, and the customer wastes time and go in order to come back next morning is very unprofessional

All good. Appreciated the ability to pick up and return outside normal working hours using online service. The process was relatively easy. However, it would be good if the license/background check could be done well in advance, to save time while on location.

there are ways today to screen people and make sure they don't miss-use the space (sleep over etc.) so that regular users won't have to pay for after hour access or get stuck coz it ain't working.
