they marked down the gas incorrectly. I only drove 11 miles and the gas hand never moved. I was charged 18.00 in gas for 11 miles. Uhaul said manager would call me, manager called and said its uhauls problem. 11 miles no matter what is not 4 gallons of gasCHRISTOPHER K.

1. Dealing with our U-Box was a bit of a disappointment. It was 9 days late, and we were heading on a road trip to visit family for the holidays so we weren't able to get some stuff out of it for Christmas. 2. U-Haul said they would refund $50 a day for every day that it was late, but they did not honor this until we CALLED them and insisted. It doesn't seem fair that the customer needs to be the one to keep a business running ethically. This is something the company should have taken care of on its own. 3. We were told we would get 30 days of free storage once the container arrived in San Antonio. That is STORAGE. Not the box RENTAL. But we were not given free storage. There seems to be some communication within the company over the terms "storage fee" and "rental fee." We understand that we have to RENT the box, but we were promised free STORAGE in San Antonio for the first 30 days after the box arrived. That was $129 that U-Haul refused to refund us. They kept saying it was a rental fee, but that's not what we were told and it is not what was advertised on their website when we rented the box. 4. The line of communication during this experience was very confusing. We had a driver in our home state, a facility manager in our home state, a delivery driver in our new home state, a new facility manager, and a couple customer service reps that we spoke to and emailed, but nobody seemed to be keeping tabs on our account so we were constantly having to re-explain things to different people and nobody seemed to be on the same page regarding the terms "storage fee" and "rental fee." We are happy that our goods arrived safely to our new home, and we think the new steel U-Boxes are a great addition to U-Haul's services, but there's some kinks they need to iron out. We felt like U-Haul was nickel and dime-ing us ever step of the wayâ€"including some strangely-worded additional fees that we saw in our online account, which we had to call to get resolved. I can't say we would use this service again nor would we recommend it above others. If you use this service, stay on top of it. Call them and make sure they do what they say they're going to do.Jacob G.

I went a few hours over my time got a called and the employee was rude and very demanding, I felt as I was being accused of stilling the truck over dropping it off a few how's later I was told that because of that I was being charge 70 something dollars and told I better have the truck in that night. The 24/7 return key location was not labeled. Because I was returning after hours, I had to call and wait 30 minutes to speak to someone. I found a hole to drop the key in and the rep had to notate in the system where the key would be. It was late and sitting out there that late as well as walking around the property to find the proper drop box was scary and not safe. Aside from that, all was well.TANYA S.

My Experience with the Woodlake San Antonio Texas Location was not bad however, my ENTIRE Experience with Uhaul from December 18th-19th 2021 was the worst ever. I was so stressed out due to Uhaul's terrible Customer Service, Planning and Availability. Uhaul cost me to pay Extra for my Movers of $150, charged me $26 for Fuel when I put back the Fuel I used and took before and after Pictures, I ended up 1 Day late in my Arrival to my final Destination, my Bank Account was overdrawn and left in the Negative due to charging me for December 18th and 19th 2021 Rental. I was given 3-4 Days extra as compensation that I didn't want nor needed and I told San Antonio Traffic Department but they gave it to me anyhow.Tiffany H.

Employees are not welcoming at all. They seem like they don't want to be there or even help you. I had to introduce and ask questions myself. Didn't look in system for availability options on the trucks. Just not very much help. Had to reserve and order truck online after they said they didn't have anything but they did. The reason i would not recommend this facility is becuase the slots a very muddy and you can even walk around your unit without ruining your shoes. I went to the rental office first to ask where my unit was located, I wish at that time the two sales associates would have told me I needed a pair of scissors to cut the tag off of my unit to access it. That video makes it look super easy and maybe I'm not strong enough to pop the plastic. I also wish they would have let me know what to do on my first visit. I figured out after my 2 year old daughter was traumatized that the most God Awful alarm sounds, which I believe is triggered by motion on a floor if someone isn't checked in? However I didn't see anyone head over to investigate, or check out what was the matter, so we walked out the front and we were going to call someone thinking maybe it was a fire alarm and then read on the key code box failure to check in and out results in denial of admission. I punched in the code I was emailed and went back up with scissors and then came back down and the alarm went off again. I know now not to bring my kids with me. Went down and punched out and left. Pretty sure there are others that are clueless as to the checkin process like myself. I know in the email it states to enter your code for building access. However, the automatic doors were not locked. So, using the word access is misleading. Even the video shows the gentleman punching in his code in order to open the doors. This place was by far the worst experience I have had with uhaul. We are in the military and move a lot and have always used uhaul but after the experience with Augustine and his employees I would not use them ever again. We ordered a large storage unit to be given 2 separate units on the opposite side of each other making it harder to unload the truck. With COVID I understand restrictions and limitations however their recycle and reuse stated can be used just no mattresses and couches. We adhered to the posted signs that was typed and tapped on the walls to be told rudely in an intercom that we would be charged 200.00 for using said space and following the signs. After my husband who had to go the manager Augustine it was explained that we weren't doing anything wrong as we followed the sign however they don't want us to so others won't do it and do it wrong. It astonishing that we are being threatened to be charged for someone potentially doing something wrong after us. This could have easily been corrected if they simply change the sign. Due to the accommodations and not having enough space is why we had to downsize and "donate" or use the recycle section. I had to let go of furniture I didn't want to. The manager offered us free 30 days for another storage unit. I shouldn't need another just to have to pay more money monthly.
