When I got in truck, tire pressure light was on. After air in tire, light STAYED on. Returned truck after hours and got triple charged for total AND an additional 80+ miles added to my bill. Called was told to call back next day. ACR saw the issue but not only couldn't issue the refund, but wouldn't tell me what the issue was AND THEN said, the refund/adjustment would be up to the GM.ANGELICQUE C.

The below comments are not solely directed towards one location but, instead are a reflection of the whole UHaul U- Box moving experience. The words "guaranteed" delivery are meaningless. Communicating with individual UHaul drop off / pick up locations is extremely difficult. When the location is too busy or, does not want to answer your call - you are transferred to a "call center" where you go through a painstaking process of telling your your whole moving story to a different person every time you call. The person you speak with is in no position to assist with any immediate needs. The online account / order look up functionality is not updated on a real-time basis - making it useless. In my case, I had multiple boxes listed on my account even though I only ordered one. I called numerous times regarding this inaccuracy and was told it would be fixed - only having it take over a week to be corrected. Promised email communications are also not done in a timely matter. For example - I received an email saying my delivery was delayed on the same day it was due to arrive.. This notice should have been sent 2 days prior to the guaranteed delivery date as the box was being shipped 1100 miles - a known 2 day journey. As a result, I had to stay in a hotel for several nights and incur out of pocket expenses that will exceed any type of reimbursement. Finally, after being told of my new late "guaranteed" delivery date - I had to make multiple phone calls to the receiving location , the "Traffic" / Scheduling department and the General Manager of the receiving location to try an obtain the arrival time of the container to coordinate with my contracted moving help. Not one of the people I spoke with empathized with my situation or, offered to go above and beyond their minimum job requirements. In sum , this was the one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. After going through this - unfortunately, I feel like I understand more about the day to day operations of UHaul than most of the current employees and that I did more to ensure that my box arrived when it did than the company. I can't in good conscience recommend using the UHaul U-Box container moving system. The only good part of my experience was working with the contracted moving company - Strong Bears. Strong Bears was extremely helpful in securing and delivering the U-Box on the same day it was received. The company was willing to shift other scheduled moves and work past their standard operating hours to accommodate me . I will be forever grateful to Strong Bears for saving the day and restoring my faith in good customer service.greg H.

I really appreciated the manager calling me after I gave up on the phone menu to reschedule, and they even got me a better truck for what I needed to do. I've been telling that good news story to everybody the past couple of days. The pickup location's a tight parking area though: getting the truck out of the lot there is always a little dicey. Maybe the staff could bring the truck out for the customer? That might save everybody some headache worrying about damage getting out of the lot. ¡Gracias!MARK P.

MOrning check out made me nervous. The staffing seemed short and there was a question about which truck I had reserved. My paperwork the night before said the 26: truck, (I thought I had reserved 20"--ended up with the 20' ft). Check in was very disorganized. Friend dropped the truck in the canopied drop-off place. Turned in the keys. Next day, I received a text that I was outside my contract. Claimed we did not turn in the truck. But, the keys were turned in and the truck in the correct drop off location. I think I was charged extra miles because I was not there. The fuel gauge said the tank was still full after 30 miles), but I was still charged for gasoline. I would "recommend" with Cautions to watch the overcharges.KAREN D.

The van did stink of cigarette smoke but I guess that happens. The battery failing me was a hassle as it costs me time to find a battery jump / recharge. Plus extra gas as I had to leave the vehicle running when I stopped to unload it. The truck was incredibly old and not very well maintained. There were holes in the ceiling fabric, and dirt all over the inside of the windshield that obscured my vision while driving at night. I could not adjust the side view mirrors which was pretty dangerous when merging on the highway, and couldn't adjust the steering wheel. I nearly couldn't adjust the seat because it was sticking but finally got it to move. Not a very happy experience. I've rented trucks many times, several just from this location, and this was the worst one ever. Staff was very nice though.ROBIN C.

I reserved online but was told nothing may be available. A smaller & cheaper vehicle became available which was fine. Because of some type of mixup where I was told that I have 24 hrs to return the vehicle, I am being charged a late fee ven after the supervisor called & admitted to a misunderstanding & that I in fact had 24 hrs to turn in the vehicle & not just 6hrs. I had two different times to pick up a van and l got there at the first time and the said they didn't have my reservation and there was no van this was at 1:30 the second time was at 3:00 but the guy was parking a van so when I came back at 3:00 the same van that he was cleaning and parking he said that was my van because he had made the reservation for a couple of days before I had the same reservation number for both times she would not let me get the van until 3;00 this was a real inconvenience to me when I rent from that location all the time for I uses the van for my Catering JobsMATTHEW A.

Dear Customer Service, I reserved a van @ the Bear location. I received an email the evening before my rental that my location was changed to the Kirkwood Hwy location. I arrived on time and the location was closed. I checked my account for the code to obtain the key to the van. A message was never sent or information to retrieve it via my cellphone. I called the 800 number to obtain assistance. The representative was very helpful & set me up for a 11:15a.m. reservation. Since I had to travel out of my way, I had to pay for an additional 30 miles. I'm so disappointed in the service that I received from U-haul.
