We had left our keys in the truck (they fell under the seat) when we went back to look for them there was absolutely no one around so we just walked around till we found the truck and found our keys under the seat. Later we realized that we were missing a wallet we called but the truck had already been rented out again. It's concerning to me that they don't thoroughly clean the trucks in between rentals they could have found the wallet in there now we take the risk of someone taking the wallet etc.Kristin W.

I had a hard time with the after hours drop off. My phone said that I did not have a reservation when I tried to drop off the truck. I ended up having to leave the truck without getting any confirmation that the truck was actually there.Wendy P.

I had to wait a bit until person came out to accept the return. I could not perform on-line return as my phone had no internet service in this area. I received an extra charge stating that I went over the allowed mileage by 9 miles. $3.28 charge. Not a lot of money but after paying over $800 this seems picky. Not sure why mileage was not accounted correctly from start. I just went to the final destination without detours. Good set up at this location to return truck. Clear markings and instructions. The person that received truck was friendly and helpful.Todd H.

I don't blame this storage facility for my very negative experience with the truck I rented and the poor customer service communication. The facility that I dropped my rental off at and got the storage at actually agreed with my negative remarks and said they would like to see some change and they were very friendly and understanding. Overall I enjoyed the service at the facility but otherwise terrible rental, I'm glad after multiple times of check and I finally was able to find this facility. Wish I could rate on the full U-Haul service and not just on one facility otherwise the score would've been lower.Michael R. | First Impressions

I rented an alliance dolly and unfortunately did not notice the strap was missing. Because of this I was not able to use it. When I returned the truck and dolly I told the person working and he could have cared less. I would like to be refunded the money I paid for the dolly.STEVEN D.

Manager of the store in Westfield Mass is not ethical. Strongly suggest no one go there. I made reservations for 10 bags of returnable blankets. I went to the store to make that blanket reservation. The manager counted the bags available and told me I was good as he had enough. When I showed up to pick up my truck he told me he only had 4 bags left. I had hired movers to load the truck but had no blankets. I had to have my wife travel from store to store in a panic to buy moving blankets. I spent over $400 to purchase them in a panic. Manager didn't care he actually got mad when I complained. A deal should always be a deal. Apparently not at the Westfield Massachusetts store. Don't go there!!!James P.

I rented a truck that had water pump issue. I live 2 miles from U-Haul. We went back and checked where the truck was parked on the lot and there was a big puddle. The truck should have never left U-Haul in that condition. We had to get towed to our location. We were two hours late getting there causing me a great loss of income. I sell antiques and missed the first 2 hours.Lynn W.

I tried to complete the return process using my Phone but everytime I added the contract number said: "error". Also, I Have to report that I had to move out of the Westfield area due to an emergency and was not able to go back and pick up my car. In addition to that I totally forgot that I had to return it full tank.suania M.

Dont hide charges such as insurance etc for after drop off, was more expensive then I thought it would be. Also give credit for gas since I turned it in with atleast 20 more then it had in it when I picked it up.Tyler K.

The young man at the rental counter was very helpful, and made the whole process easy as pie, and took less than 10 minutes. I rented the 15' box truck, and it was clean & ran very well. MUCH different than renting a truck â€œback in the dayâ€, when they all seemed to be at the end of their serviceable lives! I was very pleasantly surprised, and would recommend the Westfield, MA store in a heartbeat.James W.

When trying to pick up the truck with the app at first it wasn't picking up my location and said go to the shed by the green canopy and scan tha barcode. Problem was there is NO BARCODE ON THE SHED. I spoke with am employee who had no idea where it was said he had never heard of it.. Was surprised to have to provide another person's # to call to complete my pickup as it took quite a bit for the call. Drop off was okay but the online pickup certainly cost me much more time than just going to the counter. The exact opposite of the reason I chose it to " skip the line" Employees were great and helpful!Michael K.

We were told our military discount would be taken at the deposit end. We returned the truck before time by 18 hours, more gas than we had in it when we got it, and waited to be waited on by staff. We got attitudes by the management stating the contracting employee was probably new( throwing him under the bus) because she did not have a discount to give us. When I mentioned social media she became testy. I said for less than 20 dollars you would creat so much bad press. She stated she would have her manager call me. I'm still waiting!!!noreem B.

So the equipment was dirty on the inside we had to clean it before use and then we cleaned it again after use. Also there was no gas in the tank when I picked it up but they did state the would reimburse me 40$ for that inconvenience I have yet to receive my deposit of 100 or the reimbursement back yet but I did receive the receipt wich I think reflects the 100$ deposit but not the 40 reimbursement and they specified to make sure the gas is where it was at when I picked it up wich I did and a little more. So I am process now of finding out what is going on I will be back with an update after seeing how it goes.allysa W.

I was told to keep the keys in the car and contact customer service about dropping it off. Did this. Then was sent around to dispatch then given crap about dropping it off in westfield despite where i set my reservation location ~2 weeks ago. Not happy.ANTHONY B.
Total miles 23 We also stopped for coffee and soda. The return time is off by 40 minutes. Over charged by $32.72 Vehicle gas gauge was also off when we picked it up. That was reported on the link. The receipt says we drove 46.6 miles. We put $20 in gas in the vehicle. More than enough to replace what we used. You can check my account, I all ways put a little bit more than we use. Truck was unclean inside and out. I was given a contract showing that the fuel tank was full but it wasn't. I had to send a picture in this regard. This is unacceptable. Besides, I requested a receipt @ the time of return but nothing was given and I had no idea how much was charged to my Credit card. I drove three miles only and receipt sent via e-mail shows ten miles was driven. At the time of return I was promised that wrong mileage will be adjusted. He was very polite, and professional, he even helped after hours when the key card would not scan correctly. I could not speak more highly of this gentleman if possible. Sometimes the staff was too busy and rushed to be patient or polite. I dont like u haul advertising a free month of storage if we use their trucks for moving and then reneging on that promise. My storage unit was leaking and we tried to have it fixed with no result and we're originally told to get our things and get out. Our items were covered in mold and there was mold in the storage unit on the floor. I reserved online a 10x20 drive up unit for $204/month, upon arrival I was informed there were no 10x20 units available. The best solution I was told was to rent side by side 10x10 units inside. I reluctantly agreed as I was there with a truck full of stuff. When processing my reservation it turned out that to rent the 2 units would cost me $300/month which is UNACCEPTABLE. If I was quoted that much at the time of reservation I would never had rented the unit as that is way too much money for me to pay monthly. This move with UHaul has been nothing but problems from the truck rental, the moving helpers, and then the storage unit. I am EXTREMELY disappointed.
