Donald PMy one complaint was that i rented a cargo van. When I called to set it up the guy explained to me all the cost . But when I got there the guy at this location told me i either had to have my insurance policy # or pay 25.00 per day for insurance. I don't know of anyone who carries their insurance policy number with them. So i was basically forced to pay 25.00 more that i expected to rent the van.

LAURA SWhen I picked up the rental it was dirty, there were bottle caps in the cab, change in the cab and had 3/4 of a tank of gas. When I returned it I cleaned out the cab. When I returned it, I filled it up with 3/4 of a tank of gas, and accidently left a roll of paper-towels in the cab and was shocked to see they charged me 25.00 for cleaning and 5.00 for a gallon of gas. I have a feeling if I were to swing by there this morning, the van would look exactly like it did when I dropped it off and the gas needle would not reflect the 1 gallon of gas they charged me for. Also I was not refunded for the early return.

Jeffrey DThe installer was great, but there was far too much activity for one person to handle. Understaffing led to a two hour installation taking most of the afternoon. The quality of the installation was great and the installer did his best, and was very helpful. But he was put in a very difficult situation on what I assume is any u-haul facility's busiest day of the week (Saturday).

Leo NThe rims on the trailer that I rented were severely corroded. when I brought it up to the individual that checked me back in, he tried telling me they were fine. After driving for almost 40 years, I know when a rim is close to failure and a blowout is right around the corner. Ask me how I know.l!

James GMy recent van rental at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Westfield was a pleasurable experience. I was treated in a professional and friendly manner throughout the process.
Mike PTurnbuckle on safety chain was bent open. Went unnoticed by maintenance. I noticed this when I inspected the trailer before leaving. Employee that issued me the trailer at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday quickly rectified problem by giving me another turnbuckle. She then made sure the trailer was properly hitched to truck and checked all lights before I left. Before loading the trailer with a vehicle, I checked the tire pressures. Tires were at specified pressure between 65 and 67 psi. Right rear tire was at 22 PSI and considerably more worn than other three. I aired the low tire to 65 PSI and rechecked after 3 hour drive, it held pressure. I reported this to the employee that checked me in when I returned the trailer at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday. As a small business owner I understand that "little things " can slip by unnoticed. I also believe the owner/management should be made aware of any problems to prevent recurrence. Otherwise, trailer worked very well, all lights were operating properly, brakes seem to work properly and made Towing a large car easy. I would rent again from U Haul.

Daniel MService was fine and mobile pick up and drop off was generally a cinch. The problem was the truck. The driver's side view mirror moved constantly and needed regular readjusting. The transmission was having issues shifting properly when going downhill. It would rev high and lurch. I eventually learned to just shift into neutral when going downhill.

Denis OWE found this location to have both the truck and trailer. We reserved Northampton but were notified a day before pickup that our truck was in Chicopee and our trailer was in Amherst. Very disappointed in UHAUL corporate. Very pleased with UHAUL stores.

David VIt was a breeze ordering and getting my hitch installed. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The person that did the install was very knowledgeable and even called me before the install to make sure he was giving me the right wire harness. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Westfield has an awesome U-Haul store.

Hem GThe tow gentlemen who helped me and answered all my questions at the Westfield location on Saturday, June 15th, were friendly and polite. They worked quickly and efficiently and answered all my questions patiently. When I came back to return the truck, one gentleman came right out and I wrapped up my rental smoothly. Over the years of moving myself and my two adult children (many times and many locales in NY, CT & MA) while there are occasional giltches, the customer representatives that I have spoken to or worked with have been excellent. They have been friendly and professional. It makes a big difference when you are doing something like moving which is stressfull and you know that you won't have the added stress of dealing with a challenging human being. These two gentlement at Westfield kept that positive record going.

Ramonita HThis was a horrible experience compared to the last time I used Uhaul. I made a reservation one month in advance for a 10" truck to be picked up in Hatsfield, MA. The evening before, I was contacted by Uhaul saying that my pick up was changed to a different location further away from my original location and instead of a 10" truck, I was given a 26' truck which was way bigger than what I needed and was difficult to drive. I also was charged extra miles which should not be because Uhaul changed my location pick up which was 30 minutes farther than my original pick up location which contributed to the extra miles. I was very disappointed with this experience. It created alot more stress to a very stressfull situation moving of my merchnadise from MA to NY!!

There was some trash in the back leftover from the other renter. I have rented from Uhaul for over 25 years and this is the first time I have had a dirty truck.

I will never recommend UHaul of Westfield to anyone.. Westfield UHaul is horrible . There is other comments/concerns but I'll address them with Westfield myself. Never again will I rent from these people

When I went to my storage unit after he packed all my belongings, they were stacked carefully and neatly. Also, he took excellent care of my car; even put in air fresheners. Also, he followed me home in his truck as I drove my car because it was evening. When he left to return to Florida I missed him as if he were my son . Thank you for choosing Jacob to help me move. Smith F | Overall ExperienceMy email said a lock would be in the unit because I did online move in. That night I packed my car with all the stuff and drove there. It was not. I was not able to leave my stuff. Called the next day and was told that you don't leave locks in the unit. We'll that's what the email said. If that's not what you do, you need to tell corporate you don't because that's what it says when you do an online move in. Also when we went to pick up the lock it was 6:50. The guy said he was helping the person he was helping and then was closing and wouldn't help my husband to get the lock. We used our own lock.

The facility that I dropped my rental off at and got the storage at actually agreed with my negative remarks and said they would like to see some change and they were very friendly and understanding. Overall I enjoyed the service at the facility but otherwise terrible rental, I'm glad after multiple times of check and I finally was able to find this facility. Wish I could rate on the full U-Haul service and not just on one facility otherwise the score would've been lower.

The best solution I was told was to rent side by side 10x10 units inside. I reluctantly agreed as I was there with a truck full of stuff. When processing my reservation it turned out that to rent the 2 units would cost me $300/month which is UNACCEPTABLE. If I was quoted that much at the time of reservation I would never had rented the unit as that is way too much money for me to pay monthly. This move with UHaul has been nothing but problems from the truck rental, the moving helpers, and then the storage unit. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. UHaul took a very stressful situation and made it so much worse.
