I've been overcharged for no reason, did return the truck way earlier, top up the fuel, kept it clean and agreed on the price listed in the rental agreement, but they charge me an extra $40 after return without even telling me. Just noticed it in my CC statement. Unbelievable, so unprofessional, I'll make sure my business doesn't use their service anymore and I'm calling Visa to disputeAMMAR G.

The van we rented was very smelly and the seats and dash were dusty/dirty. I used lysol on it to sanitize it as it was obvious it had not been sanitized or cleaned recently by the smell and dust/dirt. What about COVID precautions?? I did not feel safe using it without sanitizing first. Also we ordered a dolly and it should have been in the can order given with the keys. We were couple Km away when we realized it wasn't. Had to turn back. What's the point of ordering it if it's not there when you pick it up.Paul M.

To be honest, I would not recommend U-HAUL as a service to use moving forward as I had a awful customer experience over a unforseen rebook of my original booking, then over 2 hours on hold with your customer service, only to have the call drop twice and not have anything changed due to bookings being taken while on hold.COLIN B.

The equipment and the rental process was ok But I was told twice that I will not be charged extra if I return the rental a few hours late. By an operator on the phone and also by the guy in the store Yet I was charged $60 extra. I called and was told manager will call me back in 72 hours. I had a temporary driver license issued by ministry of transportation ontario because it had to be renewed and your staff said they won't accept it because of U-Haul policy. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I am telling everyone how backwards your company is. Especially when every other company would. You need to fix your policy.MEENA S.

I had requested rental from a diff location then indicated in this survey. I was late by half hr and was told that rental was canceled. This location did not have other choices. Was glad to find this location, however the truck was so filthy and smelly that I was not even comfortable sitting on bare seat. Due to urgency, I had to use the truck but had to use bed sheet set to cover the seat and then sit. Very disappointed!RAHUL M.

We had trailer rented until Sat Aug 28th and were called on the morning of 27th to return it and then called again at 7am on 28th told that police were going to be contacted and trailer reported stolen. Trailer had a broken mirror in from last user, not cleaned when I picked it up. Was it clean as per COVID protocol? My cart at supermarket is. Trailer coupler was outdated rusty and safety latch was suspect. Prices are reasonable a the showroom a/c was great.AARONHAYTON I.

When I was doing online pickup, my agent verification took more than 15 minutes and didn't get any response when I messaged. I went to counter to check-in, and then I was told the truck is down and needs maintenance. I was told to call 1-800 to find alternative equipment. Waited another 15 minutes, and then another person from reception told me there was a mistake in the system and truck was actually available.Kin Y.

I had no idea where to leave the keys. So I had to slide them into the roller door on the side of the building. Leaving me scared abd worried something might be wrong once the staff can't find the key. It's a real turnoff, at 10:30 pm trying to find a non existent key return box.AHMED L.

When I sent the store the system showed the gas at half, the van only had 1/4 tank of gas. I filled out the pre drive checklist and added notes forming that the gas was only at 1/4. When I retuned the van with 3/8 I was told I would have to pay the difference, I had taken photos and added notes why was this not updated to avoid me having to show pictures and explain the situation?WESLEYJ T.

The people were polite. The girl who showed me my room realized it wasn't clean already so immediately mopped it. But the service experience as a whole was absolutely horrible. We reserved the space and truck. Called to confirm everything was good the day before. Was thanked for confirming. Then. Arrived to be good our space was rented out. Apparently the reservation means absolutely nothing!! It as very upsetting. I had to move my mother in that one day and had done all the work to prepare only to be told that reserved means nothing to anyone at uhaul. The girl apologized that this is the policy. Offered to call another location. But we picked that location for a reason. It was very stressful for my senior mom. We ended up in a much more expensive space just to spent through everything. Rented me 2 Trucks low on fuel. Had to fuel up midway through a move with a truck full of belongings, no truck availability, also rented me another cargo van with a flat tire, had I not noticed I could have been in serious danger on the highway driving.
