Excellent facility and staff. A staff member came out to check-in the truck while I went in the office to complete the turn-in paperwork. He finished his work, came in and gave the final report to the lady at the desk, and my transaction was completed and I was leaving the facility in less then 15 minutes, total time there. The location is very clean and organized and the staff was knowledgeable and efficient but the truck I was issued for my rental was in poor condition. It was very rough riding and very hard to handle because it was out of alignment. It pulled to the right so bad that it felt unsafe to drive. Fortunately this was a local move so I did not have far to drive but had this been a long distance drive for someone it would have been a very difficult trip (I just made a move from Florida to Virginia last year using U-Haul and the truck I rented was in very good condition). I reported the issue to two different agents, the equipment return agent on duty and the desk agent inside. Both agents seemed to hear me and said it would be reported but I want to make sure that the truck does indeed receive maintenance to correct the repairs.LAURAWELLS G.

Communication about u-box delivery was terrible. I was never contacted that the u-boxes would be delivered late, and they wouldn't answer the phone to give an update of delivery. Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Will never recommend them and will warn anybody I know for the rest of my life to stay away from anything uhaul! Pods arrived on time, scheduled the pick up and that was a 3 week nightmare to get anybody on the phone, to actually get them to pick them up....maybe I should have "drag them in the street and catch them on fire" like one of the horrible customer service reps suggested. Fkn nightmare from start to finish. Now they want to charge me a storage fee (the pods are empty) and are trying to put a lien on whatever bc my account is due....which I canceled after I used the pods for 2 weeks like I needed.SUZANNE B.

Guaranteed pickup after online reservation yet there are no trucks available. Since the general manager of the location I was sent to is awesome he found a truck that recently went up for sale so he converted back to a one way rental. Unfortunately the truck was a P.O.S. obviously past its acceptable rental usage. Basically paid full price for an outdated relect with bad brakes, terrible headlights and less than desirable fuel economy. So much so that Uhaul would not even contact me when I disputed extra charges they tried to tack on since the odometer didn't even register the correct mileage, there's counted 50 miles more than the truck that followed the entire trip!MICHAELDAVID R.

The storage unit was great and the process went well. The only complaint I have for this location is the wait time when you need assistance. One day I had to wait 45 minutes (with only two customers in front of me- and about 6 behind) because there was only one person working. He was literally with that customer the entire 45 mins. Finally, the manager came out from the back room/office and helped. I rented a truck and a tow dolly. The straps on the tow dolly which was rented to me were broken so I had to postpone my move by a day and had to contact Roadside assistance so they could be replaced. During my trip, I had to contact Roadside Assistance again because the check engine light came on in the truck. The truck and tow dolly should have been inspected by the Uhaul employee before they were rented out to a customer. Due to all of the issues I experienced with these rentals, I will not be using Uhaul again for any other moves.Rhiana H.

Other than the interaction I had with a few of the staff I would give ZERO stars if I could rate my entire recent experience with Uhaul. From having to constantly call to figure out one issue or the next to finally having my boxes arrive UNCOVERED during a RAINY PERIOD which has caused me MAJOR LOSS which was my biggest fear this entire time to now being ignored Uhaul has essentially left my life in ruins and I would NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE. I lost everything I had worked my life for which was in those boxes. When I first got there with my family and my moving company, I had to go into the office to get my unit number and things... i get in the office there was a line that I had to stand in for 20 mins, I finally get to the desk for someone to help me and this older man names JIM was suppose to help me, I told him I was in a rush due to my moving truck is waiting for me and they get paid by the hour. After I told him that I was in the rush he goes let me tie my shoe before I fell attending to important business. So he has no rush with him at all. He then goes to look up my information and he tells me that I told have a reservation, I stated to him that could not be true because I called and make a reservation over the phone 2 weeks ago and I actually have 2 reservation, one for a tow along trailer and one for the storage unit that I was waiting on. He kept telling me that he did not see anything and that he could get me into a new unit. I then tell him that that's fine but I am not happy because this is a huge inconvenience on me and that's why I called in advance. He then takes me to a unit model and I tell him that I need one for a 2 bedroom apartment, he goes well I don't know if this is for a two bedroom. I tell him well that's what I need, he goes well this is all that I have. I said fine I will take it. By now I am furious, he goes to the computer and I am telling I need for him to rush because my movers are still just sitting outside waiting on my dime and nothing is getting done. He tells me that I need to stop raising my voice at him, I told him that you clearly do not understand or Care how frustrating this is to me why are you not showing any compassion as I am a upset customer and this is not my fault. So instead of him trying to tell me and rush and put my information in the system he just stands there. I say again why are you just standing there looking around when you need to be doing your job to help me, he goes he can't work under these circumstances. I ask for someone over him number so I can call he would not help with that, the nice gentleman that was actually a new man it was his first day helped me and gave me a managers number, his name was Mr o Neil and told me to call him right away. The new guy names gjuan I believe that's how you spell it was more help to me and nice and patient. I called Mr I Neil and he pulled up my reservation within seconds and got me all set with my unit in under 20 minutes. Now mind you for 55 minutes just dealing with this Jim guy my movers were sitting getting nothing done and I had to pay them for them to sit at the end of there Job. 55 minutes was just waisted and taken out of my pockets because of this Jim man. The staff needs to be better trained. I had problems every time I had to deal with them. Including the day I moved in when I got to my assigned unit I found a huge support beam in the middle of it. Staff should know where these are and let people know given the amount of room they take out of the space I'm paying for. The next month I got a lock on my unit and a late fee because my payment wasn't auto drafted like I instructed it to be. I called and made the payment and went to the office to ask if there was a still a lock on my unit and someone walked out with me to check and when we got there and found a lock on it, he had to leave me standing there longer while he went back to get the key. Why wouldn't an employee bring the key with him to save a trip and my time? Another time in December y'all were doing construction and I didn't know how to get in. Went to the office and was hastily told go around the other side. Went to the other side and spent 10 minutes walking around and up and down hallways and never did find a way in. Didn't bother asking the office again as they were no help the first time and by this point I was tired of having to make multiple trips every single time I needed something from the office. Based off the storage aspect of your business, i like it just fine. Your employees really turned me off to your whole place. The day I went in to tell them I was moving was the only time I didn't have a problem. I should have never moved in after the first day. I walked from the office to the unit 4 times in one visit just to get a unit that didn't have a huge support beam in it and the whole process took over 1.5 hours. I fully understand the need for the support beams but you should really have your employees at the very least know where they are and off or a discount on those units. I also rented a truck and while I was moving it rained and the inside of the truck was leaking so I called and was given another truck with no problem. I didn't pay for the dolley rental however I feel more should have been taken off for the inconvenience of having to stop packing to return a truck that was leaking on my stuff at no fault of mine. My unit was located through a maze all the way in "the back". It was very inconvenient to move my belongings in and out. There needs to be another access point into the building on the other side for more accessibility. It cost me quite a bit of extra money for all the extra time it took my movers to get my belongings out. There was a back door but associates wouldn't allow access. The only issue I had was the unit I originally was assigned had a support column in it taking up a decent amount of space so I had to go back up front and get a different unit. I was at the location twice that day and dealt with 3 different employees and they were all very courteous and helpful. Cynthia, we need your help. Everyone is very nice but we have a nightmare unit. First, we wanted and rented. 10x7 but when we went to it it was a 5x5 with a beam in the middle. Then we got a 10x 8 because that was the best they had. In any event, when I went later in the week for the first time the latch was not working. Christian, who was alone helped me and even he had to work at it. Great young man by the way. It still is not working properly. Unit 1566. I had made reservations online to store my boat. I moved my boat on a Sunday. Very busy with people in the store and calling in constantly. Need more people working on the weekends.
