The customer service from the lady at the counter was very friendly. We had a problem with the truck overheating 1 mile down the road, brought it back and the manager Zack, I think, was on top of it right away to get us another truck. Even thou stressful on moving day, Zack immediately jumped into action and got us another truck. I will continue to go to this location for any future moves! Service was terrible, the clerk had an attitude and seemed to not know what she was doing. I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to hook me up. This is after I had to find the trailer I was rented. I will never use this location again, I reserved online and just poor service when I arrived at this location. I would recommend a complete overhaul of the employees.THOMAS JACK D.
You by far the worst staff any establishment has. First off your "hitch" guy Tremone is nothing but trouble. He's extremely rude and threatened to fight me as he walked away to the back room. Secondly the "new" girl with blue smurf hair is obviously to anything she's doing. Has no clue what to do or how to be helpful. If she was "new" why is she being left alone with little to no training whatsoever. Maybe it's not your employees because horrible staff reflect how they're managed and clearly this staff has ZERO training or customer service skills. The managers first name is Zach. It's a Monday and your "manager" is nowhere to be found? Ridiculous.. I paid for storage here but believe me I will be looking to move as soon as I find another storage unit. I have been a long-term U-Haul customer. My move with U-Boxes went smoothly until now. My account has not been updated for weeks--it shows that the boxes are in store in Waterford; they have been delivered and picked-up. I do not have the boxes but have been charged for storage which I am trying to have refunded. Since the staff there was very helpful, I'm not certain why. I reserved at the clarkston location. Went there to pick it up and was told they don't have it and someone should have contacted me. Then I had to go to the highland location. By then I was eating into the time that I needed to use it and get it back. I had previously reserved at another location and the lack of availability leading up to my moving date shifted my reservation far far away. I went to the Highland Rd location to explore alternate options and set me up with a much more desirable arrangement. However, I did not get some the same clarity and guidance from the website + the initial confirmation call. It would have been helpful to know that availability of trucks tends to be better with round trips and/or certain truck sizes. Making a truck size change / round trip change was a much more feasible than the change to a distant location offered for my original one-way reservation on the initial confirmation callDalton S.

The trailer was clean. However, the door did not properly seal. Since it rained, the boxes on the bed and closest to the door became wet on the bottom and could no longer hold items.Ryan H.
I arrived at the scheduled time of my reservation which coincided with the stores opening time. I was unable to â€œcheck inâ€ on the app as it read that my session had expired. Regardless I would still have had to wait in line for keys and paperwork. I waited 1&1/2 hours in line to get my rental. I requested 10 hours of rental and when I arrived was scheduled for 4. That seemed to be a problem for the owner who was checking me in. I don't understand the issue as I was renting by mileage not time. The owner, while not unpleasant was not pleasant. The truck was adequate for my needs but that's all. For over $200 I expected a vehicle with a few more conveniences such as power windows that didn't allow air to come in when closed and power locks. There are other rental options in the area that I would pursue the next time I need to rent a moving truck. The app was clumsy and the actual pick up if the truck took far too long.Joseph B.

I rented an autotransport trailer was hauling a car with it I had a blown tire, I believe it was because the equipment had a old tire, and was too beat up by the sun, it was cracked and they didn't inspect that when they gave to me at rental place, i lost several hours waiting for road assistance just because of that, (not good) I strongly recommend uhaul locations to inspect tires before costumers takes them on the road it could be very dangerous, when my tire blew up I believe one of them tire pieces hit a car behind me when the tire got blown outMateo T.

Made my reservation one week before, completed all information to enable 24/7 pick up. Schedule 8am pick up. Arrived at location 7:45am, 24/7 pick up did not work, location didn't open till 9am, upon opening 2 dozen people rushed the door, I sat in line for an hour before being waited on. As a customer that reserved in advanced, did all the 24/7 preliminary work, to get delayed by more than 2hrs is simply unacceptable. I had family waiting at my house for almost 2hrs. The new paved and covered outside storage area for RV's & Boats is wonderful. Easy access, remote control entry (loved this....no code) and 2 hours a day electric included to keep your batteries charged. Callled number which i guess was call center to find out about storage units available and pricing. Lady spoke with acted like i was wasting her time. She asked me for my credit card to hold 2 units and i explained just getting information and she abruptly wanted off the phone, she also had rude behavior. I would have thought you would be polite and want to answer customers question and help in any way possible. Went to facility in person to hold the 2 units. No problem. Gave credit card to hold the units. Called in again 4 days prior to moving company delivery to verify units were available and apparently again dealing with call center, was told i didnt have 2 units only 1. The lady said there was nothing she could do for me and asked if she should look at different location. Told her no that doesnt help me at all. I would have to pay the moving company the time and materials to go to different area. She put me on the phone with she said was her manager, found out he wasnt a manager, he said nothing he could do and when holding units with credit card doesnt mean they actually hold it. What does that mean right? He offered me 2 indoor units 5X10 for $98. per unit with no discount. Thats was $100.00 approx. more than outdoor 10X10. Which I had on hold and somehow lost. Incredible. Then manager said he would hold those 2-5X10 units no problem without coming to store he had plenty of them. He said i wouldnt loose them. Then what happened to my 10X10 outdoor unit. I was extremely upset with no option at this point due to giving moving company address to facility and would have to pay to change. Went to facility(U-Haul) after work and spoke with CALEB! He checked my reservation and stated the units i put on hold were still there on reservation. 2 units like i requested initially and we finalized paperwork so I wouldnt lose units. CALEB was extremely helpful. Maybe he should run call center and save CUSTOMERS alot less stress and headache.I know three people should go somewhere else if they dont want to deal with customers or help anyway they can. The only thing I have a complaint about is when I drove my hour commute to this location in order to retrieve items only to find an extra lock had been placed on my unit. My unit was paid up to date, as it always was, so this confused me. I asked multiple employees and no one had a clue why it was there and told me to come back tomorrow. I made another hour long commute and again no answers but this time they had the spare key to the mystery key and told me it was in the managers office whom did not even attempt to reach out. No contact info was ever given from the website for the movers and they never showed nor did I have a way to contact them. My 4 month storage experience was positive. I would recommend the facility to others. Ann and Bonnie seemed were always around and were knowledgable and professional. My negative experience was returning the 19' truck I rented the first 4 days. I only saw this rental agent one time - during truck check in and he was really nasty when i asked to extend the rental one more day. I would describe his demeanor as abusive. I kept my cool and worked around the "issues" this fella had, but it left me feeling I was mistreated and had not been fairly billed. To this day I feel I was overly charged and had been 'tricked' into excessive truck rental fees. When I left I hired local movers. It was expensive, but I didnt want to have to repeat the U-Haul truck rental move in experience. The UHaul truck rental fees billed to my credit card "were shady". It would have been better however. I had to deal with a UHaul employee that wasn’t happy with me because I apparently wasn’t using the easiest entrance to unload. Number one it was my first time there so how would I have known. He just kept repeating himself and saying for future reference. I was already unloaded I wasn’t going to load my stuff back in the car to do it the way he wanted me to. He made my move in experience terrible. He called my phone and then said the same thing in person like seriously leave me alone. He kept saying it like I was stupid. He wasn’t trying to be helpful he was upset I didn’t use the entrance closer to my unit. I told him it was my first time there and he just kept saying for future reference, which by the way is rude. They let someone cut off my lock and replaced it with their lock and that person proceeded to take my personal items out of the storage unit. Fortunately I found this out relatively soon after it happened and it was rectified but other than "sorry " I was offered no other compensation off my storage fees...nothing. I felt very violated.
