The only thing I was disappointed with was the rude employee that said don't park this here parking under the green awning which in fact I would have parked it where it was supposed to have went if I would have been told when I picked it up that when you bring it back where to park it but I thought the employee was quite rude and how he approached me about it for me being a first time customer of ever renting U-Haul otherwise the rest of the service was outstandingMarilyn D.

The packing supplies were not included with the truck - had to drive back to pick-up location to get them, causing delay in our move. Coordination seems not handled very well.Mohsen B.
I have rented a few times from this Uhaul location and the service from the employees has been terrible each time. The wait times are long to check out, the employees are not interested in working or doing their job. They are not friendly and act like they do not want to be there working. In addition, I was charged $16 this time because your trailer has a 4 pin connector which does not match up with my vehicle harness. That seems like a scam to me as most trailer harness are the same round connector that I have. If there was another option in my area, I would use it next time for sure.Jeff T.

Customer service/check in desk was very disorganized. Waited for over 20 minutes to complete an online order due to there being an issue with a customer in front and only one person at the desks. Multiple employees walking around and then they continued to do other things while assisting the customers in line. Equipment pickup outside was great, gentleman was knowledgeable and helpful. The new paved and covered outside storage area for RV's & Boats is wonderful. Easy access, remote control entry (loved this....no code) and 2 hours a day electric included to keep your batteries charged. Each time I went in there I had at least a 20 minute wait. Yesterday I waited 30 mins to return the truck. You see workers milling around outside but inside there is one person and the lines are to the door. Also I think they could have done more to help me in the situation I was in cost me nearly $1000 to rent a truck to go to WI for the day. I thought of it as we were picking up the truck that they could have suggested a one way and then to get a pick up truck for the way home. They knew I was coming home empty. The wait is the biggest thing here, they should have dedicated lines for pick, returns and purchases.Debra S.

Hard to find with the UHAUL sign not in front of the office. The person who checked us in could not correct the contract to reflect the drop off day and location. He was trying, but system issues did not allow him to correct the reservation. He provided a phone number, which I used but there was still a problem. The Key would not turn in the steering column. You had to aggressively turn the wheel while "Jiggling the Key". It was a pain. IN getting the truck, there was a knuckleheaded customer that tied up the one clerk backing up 6 other customers before a second clerk came. the 6 customers all were processed while the knucklehead was still tying up the clerk. The clerk should have told the jerk to step aside.john C.

Raymond waner at Waterford on highland road was great. I live near the bad axe uhaul. they took a reservation for a 6x12 ramp trailer which was perfect for a golf cart.They didn't have any. So to get a golf cart in waterford, 400 miles of driving and two round trips from waterford to port austin because you don't do one way rentals on those trailers. "It would have been expensive." I was told when I returned it. No more expensive than 8 hours in the car and 20 gallons of gas. And if trailers aren't eligible for one way rents, why does it have a washington state license plate on it?Robert B.

This was a frustrating experience. We got a call 1.5 hours before pick up and was told they didn't have the trailer we reserved and we would have to go to the Waterford location which is an hour away from us. With that change we were able to rent the furniture dolly that we needed so we had to purchase those elsewhere. And we had to return the trailer to the Waterford location, not a location closer which put us behind, which then cost us another day of rental fees. The staff was nice enough. I waited a hour long in the line to pickup my rental. Even though I already had pre-check in online. Than it took almost another 45-1hr to get checked in. The employee couldn't check in my rental with his computer, and just was really confused. I worked in rental before. So I suggested that he just remake a reservation and use the same rates since he was having so much problems. The employees need to be trained better, so your production is quick. Our fuel was also marked wrong at pickup, and the truck smelled like smoke. I also haven't received my $50 credit towards the rental, which was because my original reservation had requested a 15 foot, but it could not be acquired.Sasha G.

fix your website that shows availability of equipment per location in relation to a customer's starting location. your website consistently offer inappropriate options and failed to offer the closest option until coaxed into doing so. also, allow an opt-out of all the peripheral stuff you want to flog (supplies), or make it quicker to opt out - don't require progressing across multiple screens just to say no (repeatedly) on each onNeil M.

I was disconnecting the trailer and taking photos on the U-Haul app at 1800 hours when I was charged for an extra day, even though I had returned the trailer in time. I noticed that even though I disputed the charge on the app and was promised a review on that charge, along with a call by a customer service rep, I did not receive a call and was still charged for an extra day that I did not use. I was told i would not be charged again and if they did they'd reimburse me. I see they took a full payment from my bank after i had returned and canceled my u-box. Made a reservation on May 4 for a 26 ft and a auto transport online supposed to have someone call me on May 20th a day before picking the equipment and never did had to go to the dealer and find out on what location was I supposed to pick up the equipment they checked everything just to find out they didn't have a 26ft truck only a 20ft was available and no auto transport, end up getting the truck in that location and drove it all the way to Waterfort Uhaul dealer for the auto transport that was over 100 miles wasted on my miles limit, at the end of the day i ended up renting a 6x12 enclosed trailer because the 20ft was to small just to load a washer and drier and a stove on it spend a lot of money and time just because they didnt have nothing ready with a little bit over of two weeks in advance now they tell me well a 26 ft is to difficult to get because people always rent them!! I think that if UHAUL dont have them let people know there NOT AVAILABLE its that simple don wait to the last minute to let people know and force them to rent more equipment than needed its too much stress knowing that you don't have the equipment ready with time in advance when you need to move out and drive 1600+ MilesLuis E.

The truck had some breaking issues. I tired too call the Waterford location, but it's impossible to not get corporate. So I was directed to road side, they didn't even know where the parking break was. Anyways, the parking break wasn't on, but the p,I light was on and the buzzer ringing, not the red button the sticks out, but the light. So if I pulled over it would stop after I let it rest for 20 mins. Made my move much harder.Michael S.

No happy with the online reservation system. Reserve a unit then not have it when you go to rent the unit you reserved.Steven D. | First Impressions
Callled number which i guess was call center to find out about storage units available and pricing. Lady spoke with acted like i was wasting her time. She asked me for my credit card to hold 2 units and i explained just getting information and she abruptly wanted off the phone, she also had rude behavior. I would have thought you would be polite and want to answer customers question and help in any way possible. Went to facility in person to hold the 2 units. No problem. Gave credit card to hold the units. Called in again 4 days prior to moving company delivery to verify units were available and apparently again dealing with call center, was told i didnt have 2 units only 1. The lady said there was nothing she could do for me and asked if she should look at different location. Told her no that doesnt help me at all. I would have to pay the moving company the time and materials to go to different area. She put me on the phone with she said was her manager, found out he wasnt a manager, he said nothing he could do and when holding units with credit card doesnt mean they actually hold it. What does that mean right? He offered me 2 indoor units 5X10 for $98. per unit with no discount. Thats was $100.00 approx. more than outdoor 10X10. Which I had on hold and somehow lost. Incredible. Then manager said he would hold those 2-5X10 units no problem without coming to store he had plenty of them. He said i wouldnt loose them. Then what happened to my 10X10 outdoor unit. I was extremely upset with no option at this point due to giving moving company address to facility and would have to pay to change. Went to facility(U-Haul) after work and spoke with CALEB! He checked my reservation and stated the units i put on hold were still there on reservation. 2 units like i requested initially and we finalized paperwork so I wouldnt lose units. CALEB was extremely helpful. Maybe he should run call center and save CUSTOMERS alot less stress and headache.I know three people should go somewhere else if they dont want to deal with customers or help anyway they can. The only thing I have a complaint about is when I drove my hour commute to this location in order to retrieve items only to find an extra lock had been placed on my unit. My unit was paid up to date, as it always was, so this confused me. I asked multiple employees and no one had a clue why it was there and told me to come back tomorrow. I made another hour long commute and again no answers but this time they had the spare key to the mystery key and told me it was in the managers office whom did not even attempt to reach out. Better fluidity in communication between facility and Uhaul regarding what services are in the contract. Unaware I had contracted not only for the truck but also for a unit and moving personnel. No contact info was ever given from the website for the movers and they never showed nor did I have a way to contact them. My 4 month storage experience was positive. I would recommend the facility to others. Ann and Bonnie seemed were always around and were knowledgable and professional. My negative experience was returning the 19' truck I rented the first 4 days. I only saw this rental agent one time - during truck check in and he was really nasty when i asked to extend the rental one more day. I would describe his demeanor as abusive. I kept my cool and worked around the "issues" this fella had, but it left me feeling I was mistreated and had not been fairly billed. To this day I feel I was overly charged and had been 'tricked' into excessive truck rental fees. When I left I hired local movers. It was expensive, but I didnt want to have to repeat the U-Haul truck rental move in experience. The UHaul truck rental fees billed to my credit card "were shady". It would have been better however. I had to deal with a UHaul employee that wasn't happy with me because I apparently wasn't using the easiest entrance to unload. Number one it was my first time there so how would I have known. He just kept repeating himself and saying for future reference. I was already unloaded I wasn't going to load my stuff back in the car to do it the way he wanted me to. He made my move in experience terrible. He called my phone and then said the same thing in person like seriously leave me alone. He kept saying it like I was stupid. He wasn't trying to be helpful he was upset I didn't use the entrance closer to my unit. I told him it was my first time there and he just kept saying for future reference, which by the way is rude. Everything went well except the closing of the account. IT was not closed after the access card was handed in. So I got charged multiple times and had to visit the facility to close the account. They let someone cut off my lock and replaced it with their lock and that person proceeded to take my personal items out of the storage unit. Fortunately I found this out relatively soon after it happened and it was rectified but other than "sorry " I was offered no other compensation off my storage fees...nothing. I felt very violated.
