We received great service when picking up the car trailer. The guy that helped me and my brother out was very nice and respectful. As we have hard to pronounce first and last names he asked us how we say our names so as to not butcher saying them. He made the whole process very easy for us as well as explained the return policy as to returning the trailer after hours. I will say having us come in towards the side entrance to drop it off saved us a lot of headache. Service was 10/10 trailer worked perfect!

Would have liked the folks at the waterloo location to spend more time deicing and expalining the functionality of things to make sure I have all the right info, but the truck and trailer operated well and the attendant did get the rear truck door deiced when asked so not a huge deal.

We reserved a van earlier in the week for pick up first thing Saturday morning. We got there and they claimed they didn’t have a van because they lost the keys. We got a truck that was not ready to go and was covered in snow and ice. The truck cost us far more due to the added cost of gas over what the van would have used. When we tried to talk with the employee about our experience he could not have been more disinterested. When we suggested they should have let us know they didn’t have the vehicle we reserved, he blamed it on the “traffic department.” We’ve rented several UHaul vehicles over the last several years and this was by far the worst and costliest experience, all around.

I recently had an excellent experience at the U-Haul center in Waterloo, Iowa, and I couldn't be more pleased. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly efficient and friendly. They checked us in swiftly and had us on our way in a matter of minutes, which was incredibly convenient. One thing that truly impressed me was the extensive selection of rental equipment available at this location. Whether you need a moving truck, trailer, or any other type of equipment, this place has it all. It made the process of renting exactly what we needed so easy and hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend the U-Haul center in Waterloo, Iowa, for anyone in need of rental equipment or moving services. The exceptional service and quick check-in process truly made our experience seamless and stress-free. I'll definitely be returning here for any future rental needs.

The customer service was good. The guy at the desk was very friendly. But I requested what i needed for my cross country move 2 weeks in advance, and the day before I was set to move, they called that they didn't have the right size that I needed and I would have to drive over an hour to get the size i requested. I took a larger size because I had to move that specific day. Then I got there and they had no moving dollies available which was also made aware 2 weeks prior. It was really frustrating in an already very stressful situation.

Yes the truck was clean but as far as well maintained the engine light was on sound like wheel bearings or transmission issues and had a real vibration to it

Improvements would include: Having the tank closer to 1/2 full than 1/4 full. Was nervous about that and how far I had to go. Had to go get the truck, I remember a time they would go get it for you and drive it around front. The return line blocks the customer parking lot - only 1 way out of that parking lot Pluses - the workers were nice and understanding. They were easy going and explained things well.

I had many paintings I stored in my unit and had placed them up of the floor in the space at the farthest end from the door. When I went to get my belongings I could only get the door partially open due to some damage to the door since i had put my belongings in. When i got close to the end I started noticing some boxes were wet and moldy. The water was coming in from the farthest point and had gotten all my paintings wet and ruined. I was asked if I had bought the insurance which I thought was more for theft. I'm out several thousand dollars because of what I feel is something that should have been caught before I rented the unit. Will not suggest uhaul to anyone.

I don't appreciate getting a storage space NOT big enough for all my things and I got a 15 inch truck! And because I was not given a big enough storage it took me a long time to figure out what I could get in there and how to put it in there! Because I'm moving out of town I have to get rid of a lot of stuff...I have nowhere to put the rest 😢 I've never had this problem before with this company until now.

You really do need to replace the person door at the back of the climate controlled storage area. That doorknob sticks and is tricky to use.
