Picked up truck fuel read 3/4 of a tank returned truck after using it for 100 miles, filled the tank, but it still read a little less than 3/4 of a tank.... and I filled the tank across the street from uhaul. I was charged 9 dollars and changeWilliam B.

Not my original pickup or drop off location. Pickup location was 1 1/2 hrs from our house, costing us a lot more money in gas. Drop off location was further away than the original as well.John L.
Your drop off and pick up services are terrible. Our dates were changed on both pick up and delivery. One of the boxes we were delivered was in terrible condition. Neither of the boxes had an exterior cover when they were dropped off at our home to be unloaded. Now I have been charged rent even though the boxes were picked up. Your services are terrible. i don't think i would schedule a rental over the phone again. I was scheduled to pick up a 20' truck at 9:30 pm so i could have the truck ready first thing in the morning but the place had NO trucks at all on the lot. now there is nothing open now and to call customer service was an hour wait time(yuk). I went into a uhaul place next morning and he was very helpful and set me up with a truck at a location near by. scheduling it over the phone was a horrible experince . talking to a person face to face was much betterDonald O.

Shereka was rude from the moment she got behind the desk. No greeting, just, "Do you have a reservation? " I said, said "Yes ma'am," and she asked my name and looked it up. Said we have you for a 10ft truck and a furniture dolly, but we don't have a furniture dolly, we don't have any dollies. She starts to proceed, and I'm a bit befuddled as to why I wasn't contacted, so I could change my reservation to a location that had what I reserved days prior? I asked if another location had one, and she seemed irritated. She made the call, and we waited for a response. I then expressed that the dolly really was necessary...I'm MOVING. She rudely asked what was I going to use it for, and do I know what I asked for was a furniture dolly. I'm not brand new, I've moved before. As your previous records should show I've used U-Haul multiple times, but I didn't return the sass, I simply said something to the effect of furniture. I asked about just renting at another location, because why would I pay for mileage to go pick up an item that should have been there in the first place? Or she could at least offered to comp the mileage to the Wade Hampton location (they called back and had one, but it would have been a 25 minute drive at that point). I decided to just get the truck and get to moving, as I was short on time. She stells me the truck was the first one in lane "P." It wasn't. It was the second one and parked in between 2 trucks with barely 3 inches leeway forward or back. I had to take several breaths, because at this point it's hot, humid, and my last good nerve was already dry humped. Luckily, the other employee was walking back to the building and I asked for her help. Had I gone back inside, I would have lost my composure and came out of character. I am a restaurant manager for a popular and busy downtown Greenville restaurant. As in CNN just aired a story on us, as well as Fox News. I have been in the service industry for 35 of my 45 years, decades in management. I was even a supervisor for Avis/Budget. I would never treat a guest in this manner. Moving day is always rough. She didn't have to add to it, and I'll most likely rent elsewhere from now on.Aretha P.

I did not have any issues with the location but when I was trying to return the van after hours, I had a great deal of trouble with the online return. I called customer service for tech help and that department had a wait time of 45 minutes on hold. I was at the location working on the return for almost 1 hour. I love U-haul and will continue to use your service, but the online return was very difficult. Thanks!Paul W.

Way too expensive for a few hours of renting the truck. I got the quote at 131 came back and had to pay 148 total, why? No idea , I went half the mileage I said I would , returned it with way more fuel then when I got it, I got it below a quarter of a tank, had to waste 20 mins of my time at the beginning to get fuel for it. These trucks in my humble opinion should be gassed up to full before used. I won't be coming back out of necessity and because your prices are ridiculous.Christopher T.

Drop off was horrible! No worker in the store! Walked around looking for a employee and finally someone came to assist me. Associate had a attitude and was not inviting or helpful. Told me to leave keys on desk and my card would be charged. I said is there anything I need to review or sign saying I dropped off said no leave keys on desk! Awful attitude. Fire the whole staff and get rid of the owner. Hired people with people skills and that actually want to work. Seems like everyone, including the store manager, has an attitude with everyone that enters the store. Let alone that they can't seem to keep a proper inventory of their trucks. They like to charge a card on file first instead of checking to make sure the truck was back in the lot.Katherine T.

The African American at front desk was the rudest individual I've ever met. On her cell phone, Did not listen to my name, insisted my reservation was not there, was not helpful when scanning documents, threatened me with not getting a vehicle. Talking at loud volume, pointing her finger at me, etc. Thank God for the other female employee working. SHE WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. I know help is scarce, but your company reputation deserves more and the lady working her butt off that day deserves a raise and a better working environment--Cecilia C.

Was supposed to have contacted pick up at 0800 get there and go to check in to only get told I have to wait till 0900 when the store opens because they didn't put the keys in the box for my pick up stood in line for 30 mins to check in inside also needed the utility dolly for my order and was told they didn't have any when asked to call another store to see if they had a set was told that it wasn't his problem lost 2 hours of my rental time because your store failed to do there job and I had to locate a hand truck on my own after ordering it with my truck pick up will never use this location again very unprofessional workersJessie B.

When I entered the facility to pick up the rental, I was not greeted by any of the employees prior to my greeting them first. The truck I was given was clean inside the cab and trailer. However, the ride was very rough, unlike the one I rented from another UHaul location. When I returned the truck, an employee asked me who gave me the truck in that condition (mechanical). While waiting to checkout, an employee was eating while helping a customer. I did like having access to the mileage and gas information via my mobile phone. I think it would be helpful to know how many gallons of gas will be needed to return the vehicle with the same amount as it was at pickup.Alice L.

Checking the Truck out: Customer Associate had airpods in as I was trying to check out. The Associates were more concerned about talking to each other then the customers trying to receive their rentals. The parking lot was chaotic and multiple people were looking for assistance outside. Checking Truck in: Had trouble at the after hours check in (every time I tried online, it said my session was expired)- after attempting to contact U-Haul directly (1-800-468-4285) and using their online chat, we left the truck and dropped the keys. I called the next morning while driving there (all before it was technically due). The first woman that picked up the phone was great and confirmed that we had been charged a fee. I explained my complications. She got the manager and the manager immediately was rude, clearly assumed I was lying, and had no interest in helping me. Apparently because other people were able to check in using the system, she thought there could be no way I had trouble? It wasn't even about an extra service charge for doing it wrong at that point, just a truly poor way to handle business. Ended up turning around, and never went to the location. There was no point. I will gladly never come to this location ever again.Amie G.

Don't upgrade me to a bigger truck without my permission. I had to drive 9 hours and pay for additional gas because you â€œcompedâ€ me a bigger truck at a smaller truck price. Please Hire staff that is professional. Picking up the rental truck was a good experience but dropping off the truck was a complete disaster. When it was time to pay, I told I wanted to pay with cash but they omitted my request and charged my credit card. Profanity Is Not Professional and raising your voice at me is Unacceptable. I've used this location an abundance of times and never experienced this type of customer service. And the customers before me walked out with red faces. I just would like a good experience every time I do business with this ccompany. So I beg of you to investigate and replace any staff member that don't want to abide by your vision of your business. Overall this U-Haul center was definitely a blessing with my family need at most. We need a place to store some items really quick. The staff was great accommodating us. When we had to come back-and-forth to add or take things out of the storage unit it was easy comfortable safe and secure. I didn’t know how was going to feel about having an outdoor storage unit. My experience, unbenongst to me started the day I rented. I was not informed that the storage unit was not at the same place the drop off unit was. The staff at the Uhaul on Grove Rd did not inform me either. There were weird vibes so before leaving the 4x8 cargo rental where the cust serv rep told me to leave it, I called the general customer service line. they worked everything out and informed me of everything. I was not to be charged for anything else other than the rental and free month storage. So, now that all my stuff is in this storage unit on Grove...the key card they give me NEVER WORKS. from the very first time. I cant get in or out. I had to visit my storage unit several times and each time the reps were slow and unwilling to assist in getting me in or out of the gate. A cust serv rep ended up giving me a code *2425#...one of the cust serv reps came up to me and insisted I inform him who gave me the number so he could find the breach in the system. Luckily the last time I went to gather all my things, the gate was open. I packed all my things and took them to Public Storage. This was such a bad experience.Lorena C. | Overall Experience
