Everything was great except for the UHaul moving help section. I arranged for delivery help and though my order receipt showed the charge and date of service and I received an email confirming that I had scheduled moving help. Uhaul notified that my boxes were here and that is where it stopped the afternoon before delivery I reached out to Uhaul as I had not heard from the moving service which was supposed to contact you within 24 hours of service and found out I was not scheduled I had no reservation the man at the Movers service branch was as indifferent and of no help. He set up a ticket with a moving service who only unloaded they do not pick up and return the boxes A wonderful lady at Uhaul finally helped and got an order in for a mover who picked up returned and unloaded. I would never recommend using the Uhaul Moving Service as they can care less if your material is delivered on time or ever! All they say is it is not our fault there is nothing we can do.Peggy T.

A customer shouldn't have to pay to fill up the truck and plus pay for mileage it should be a one time fee for everything. A customer shouldn't also have to travel to another location just to pick up another truck if it's not a the location by that they reserved it at.Stella H.

Initially I had an extremely hard time with this rental. I originally made a reservation for a 10 foot truck with a car dolly for a one way trip from SC to TX. When I called the day before the move to confirm that everything was still on schedule I was told that there were no 10 foot trucks available for one way moves. I was told that I had been "upgraded" to a 15 foot truck at no extra charge. Here is where the problem started... I did not need a 15 foot truck, and the only reason that I had "reserved" a 10 foot truck was because it was the smallest vehicle that UHaul allows for towing the car dolly. I was only moving a few things and a van would have been perfect, but understood the policy so I got the 10 foot. When I complained to customer service I was told that the nearest 10 foot truck was over 25 miles away and there was nothing more that they could do because I had been "upgraded" to a bigger truck. I explained to customer service that it wasn't fair that I should have to drive an extra 50 miles when I had made my reservation for the 10 foot truck more than 2 weeks in advance. I also explained to them that "GOOD" customer service would have involved (at the very least) me getting a phone call in advance to let me know the situation so that I could have made other arrangements if I needed to. Anyway, I was passed on from representative to representative until someone found a truck that was only 8 miles away, so I agreed to go and pick it up from there. On the day of pick up, I decided to call the location an hour before pickup time just to make sure that everything was still good. Well, I was told that the person who was supposed to drop off the 10 foot truck had called in and extended their rental for an extra day. Again...I was not called by anyone to tell me that the truck that I had reserved was AGAIN nit available. Imagine had I had someone drive me to pick up the truck and then found out it wasn't available. Obviously I was livid with UHaul and the total lack of customer service and customer care. You even have on your answering service that you will be recording the call in "order to keep your promises". It wasn't until after being on hold on many different occasions for several hours total; that I was able to FINALLY speak with someone who at least seemed to care and understand about customer service. Phil Page, the local Field Service Rep. gave me a call and actually listened to what I had to say. He then looked in my file and saw where I was NEVER contacted by Uhaul to inform me of any changes. He accepted the responsibility and apologized. He told me that he couldn't make me any promises, but he would see what he could do and get back to me within an hour. When Phil called me back, he said to me "Mr. Bowling I've arranged for you to pick up your 10 foot truck at your original location tomorrow morning". This may nit seem like much, because I know that UHaul is a huge company and I'm just one of probably tens thousands of people that you had to deal with that week. But because of Phil going above and beyond, he turned what would have been a horrible message to all of my friends, family, and anyone else who would listen, into a great story about a guy at Uhaul who still believes in "GREAT" customer service. If it is at all possible, please recognize Phil Page for a job extremely well done.Kenneth B.

My experience, unbenongst to me started the day I rented. I was not informed that the storage unit was not at the same place the drop off unit was. The staff at the Uhaul on Grove Rd did not inform me either. There were weird vibes so before leaving the 4x8 cargo rental where the cust serv rep told me to leave it, I called the general customer service line. they worked everything out and informed me of everything. I was not to be charged for anything else other than the rental and free month storage. So, now that all my stuff is in this storage unit on Grove...the key card they give me NEVER WORKS. from the very first time. I cant get in or out. I had to visit my storage unit several times and each time the reps were slow and unwilling to assist in getting me in or out of the gate. A cust serv rep ended up giving me a code *2425#...one of the cust serv reps came up to me and insisted I inform him who gave me the number so he could find the breach in the system. Luckily the last time I went to gather all my things, the gate was open. I packed all my things and took them to Public Storage. This was such a bad experience.Lorena C. | Overall Experience

I had been scheduled to a different location, I mapped the routes I would take and drove them, I interviewed the people I planned to rent from and was comfotable with the arrangements. Late that note I learned the pickup location had changed, I found the people indifferent, doing just enough to get by, and wholly assuming I'd rented from them before many times and fully understood what they expected of me. I didn't, and was scolded for going the wrong way to find my rental vehicle. Uplon return, I missed the 1/4 full mark by the tiniest margin and was denied the credit for returning it with a tiny sliver of white showing at the top of the needle indicating 1/4 full. For my 38 miles driven and a contract stating the vehicle could be expected to get 12 mpg, this vehicle with 177,811 miles on it delivered only 8 mpg. I put in 5 gallons, confident that I'd be well over the specified minimum. When I commented on it to the attendant, I got an indifferent shrug and a comment - that's just the way we do it.Edward B.

I'd start by saying I'd really like someone to contact me about this. My experience was horrible. It started off by having to wait in line for 30 minutes. I was in a building full of people with no safety being taken. Only 1 employee in a mask and customers coughing and sneezing without mask on. After waiting in line I'm with an employee who lacked any motivation to try and greet customers with a smile. I was treated as if I was a number. I told to go outside and wait for an employee to come out and get my trailer hooked up. I was then given a DISGUSTING trailer. I understand it's a trailer but it was covered in mud. I was then told â€œmake sure you bring it back clean otherwise you'll there's a cleaning surchargeâ€. I was legitimately baffled by what I was being told after seeing this trailer coated in mud. I bring it home and spent an hour cleaning it to the point of being usable. I'm in the process of moving my house and by no means would my items have been put in this trailer unless it was cleaned. I had to find a moving truck at the last minute to clean out my parents apt I have always had great experiences with Uhaul so I called a few but they had nothing and I tried here on Grove Rd and they had one available ready for pickup at the time they told me to come and it was quick and easy. Returning the truck was a easy process as well.
