Your staff was wonderful, and very helpful. The facility is very clean and comfortable. This storage solution is a lifesaver- or at least a sanity saver. The closing on our house was moved several days earlier. The only way to empty it so quickly was to have a uhaul truck to put everything in, and a storage unit to move it into . We now have a month to sort and deal with it all. Our realtor was impressed and will share this with other clients. She hadn't realized you had this service. My original pickup was on Oriskany St W at 12pm on 11/12. I received a call on the afternoon of 11/10 stating my pickup time had to be moved to 3:30. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I was told AT THAT TIME that my pickup location was also changed. Not only was I inconvenienced once by having to rearrange me entire schedule and then move furniture into my house in the dark, but I was inconvenienced twice with something that could have been preventable if the employee that called me told me the location changed. This was my first experience with uhaul and I'm sorry to say that it was a negative one.Brittany V.

Making the reservation on line was a benefit. The transaction was quick and easy. the owner made sure that the trailer that I picked was the correct size I needed. I chose the 5/9 trailer with motorcycle option. He had the smaller motorcycle trailer (would have been cheaper) he wanted to make sure if that one was more adequate for me. Broken gate Drive through not really adequate Received notice of late payment with a $15 surcharge instead of receiving a notice that my payment will be due in a few days. It would have been paid and I would have saved the late fee. At the time of renting, they ask for other addresses and all. My contact info and my billing info should be sufficient. I initiated my Uhaul rental in June of 2022--original pickup date was November but moved it up to September 29. A week before pickup I was told truck would not be available on the 29th. But to would be available 26th. I agreed to pickup truck on 9/26. On 9/24 I received an email that my reservation had been cancelled, no reason indicated. I called the call center 3 times to rescind the cancel order--they replaced with a new reservation and adjusted the rate to my original rate. I chose to pickup the truck on 9/26 for fear it would be cancelled or released again. The guys at Lomond Pl in Utica were great.They could see my reservation and assured the truck would be there for me. I was very concerned but they were very helpful.Patricia F.

I should've walked away when I rented the storage unit and the person was extremely rude. They then did not set up automatic payment and sent a letter to the emergency contact that I was not paying my bill. I had no idea until I went to the unit and was told I had a past due bill. The facility is almost NEVER secured. Only twice did I ever have to use my access card. The roof leaked and caused boxes to get wet and moldy. I was never notified of any issues however the day we moved out they were repairing the roof. It caused moldy clothes and broken boxes because of the wetness that resulted in broken dishes. Check out was very confusing. I wanted the closer location in Clinton but my app wouldn't recognize it. The Clinton location was also very difficult to identify without a U-Haul sign. I had to drive way out of my way to Utica. Tried the app there and it called for a QR code to scan which I couldn't find. Finally went on my account without the app and it just had me complete a check list. If I had not used the app I could have dropped it off in Clinton! Your app sucks for checkout.Andy W.

The interior bumper rails were either broken or missing. We did not notice this until we arrived at our pickup location miles away. Rep said the rails on the older trailers used for local day usage were stapled & glued, not bolted on, like I was used to from using many times moving items from Virginia toLANCE W.

There was a hand truck and moving blankets in the back of the truck, zip tied to the side. I did not request either equipment and I knew if I moved them I would be charged for using them. It was an annoyance to have them there when I was trying to load the truck, I recommend not having them in the trucks.Kyle M.
My van was filthy upon pickup, I had to use extra gas, time and mileage to clean it so that I would not be charged a fee. When I brought it to the attention of the company I was offered a $25 gift certificate like I use a U-Haul on the daily or something.Sarah S.

1. The unit I rented had a rodent issue - when moving out of the unit there was rodent dung everywhere. We found multiple boxes which had holes chewed in them along with the items in the boxes. We also found dead rodent carcasses among our possessions. Finally there was an ant nest that was under one of the boxes that we disturbed and ants were everywhere - frankly it was all disgusting. 2. The unit leaked on to my possessions - very irritating. 3. The lock slide on the unit was very difficult to slide open and closed. 4. When we came to visit once there was a uhaul lock placed on our unit - we reported it to the office and they were not very courteous in correcting their mistake. 5. Once we visited when there was a fair amount of snow on the ground and their snow removal was inadequate - we had to climb over a snow pile at the garage door to get in the unit.Richard P. | Overall Experience

I've used storage facilities for various reasons in the past. None as clean and well organized as this location. The move was not organized until the day before. I received water damage in my unit. The day I found out I asked for some assistance and was handed a roll of packing tape to patch the hole in the ceiling as there was no one able to help. I moved out on the 7\12\21 and I payed in full this month and didn't get any thing back from them and wan i move out of storage it was so much mice poop all in my stuff and my couch was full of mice poop and pee I'm not happy at all and i asked the guys in the office if i can get something back from my storage that i pay on time ever month and they told me to call the 1800 number and i call and know answers. The facility is very nice. The workers were knowledgeable and friendly. The online sign up was easy. The gated system is difficult. Our access code only worked twice and the card only works sometimes. I don't like that once you are in there is no way out without the card. I get trying to monitor coming and going but it is scary to not be able to get out quickly as needed. Also, the card thinks we are checking in when we are checking out and vice versa. The machine to check you out the display is broken. We have a hard time driving out. We either have to go off the pavement to the grass or if you go the other way we have to do a several point turn to line up with the exit gate.Chad L. | Online Move In

The manager at the Utica branch on Lomond Road - Brian - absolutely ruined our experience. We've had a very stressful time having to move abruptly due to a delay in our house closing from Covid-19. Therefore we rented multiple trucks (4) and also 2 storage units. All - in - all we've spent A LOT of money at the location over the past 2 months. We dealt with Brian a couple of the times and he always had an attitude and was not friendly. One of the times - we had to get into the office (which was difficult due to work hours) and we popped in real quick 10 minutes before closing. We just had a simple question and Brian, legitamately yelled and was upset because they were about to close. He made us feel bad for stopping in and bothering him so close to close. We apologized for it being so close to 7pm, and his reply was an eyeroll while saying, "yeah whatever." We immediately rented a truck / trailer from another company and emptied our storage units.
