The general manager was absolutely horrible his attitude was terrible he was not very people friendly I will never rent from this location again!!! Complaining about helping customers in front of them is not appropriate

I rented a trailer and one of the straps for the front wheel was barely long enough to tie down the wheel. If the tire had been a little bit bigger it would not have been able to be tied down, and i don't have large tires. When the trailer was returned to the store it was sent right back out with another customer.

The storage unit itself is nice, however the customer service was very poor. Both gentleman we dealt with in Utica were complaining of their days. We were just trying to get our storage unit.

Customer service needs to improve. Both gentleman we dealt with were complaining of their days. One was not dressed in Uhaul apparel, so I didn't know he even worked there. We asked to shovel in front of our unit, and the guy told us we could do it but he can't do it because he has to be available to work for others. One other car was in the lot. The guy working the front desk was not personable and complained of his day.

Many mice were coming from my boxes with a lot of damage to my belongings. There animals ate the boxes with many holes noted and damages to the clothes. The smell is horrific. I had to pay 3 people

My son & Me & about 5 other customers witnessed a black male employee arguing with a customer calling the customer filthy dirty names and physically threatening him. Supposedly he was terminated by the manager. I hope so because what I witnessed is considered harassment under New York state law. That customer should have called the Utica Police, that's what a spectacle was made. The manager attempted several times to quiet the unruly and disrespectful employee. Do not hold the manager responsible he tried. The customer that was being verbally abused spoke in a calm and civilized manner not using any swear words or disparaging remarks and the rude employee just kept going at it. After the employee was fired he came back through told the customer he had been fired because of him and said I'll be seeing you on the outside. That is a threat. When I returned the van that I had rented there was another black male working and the same customer who had been abused earlier was still there. Now the second black male that was working was sticking up for the first black male who was terminated telling the customer that he was wrong in the whole situation. It seems to me that you may need to do a house cleaning of the U-Haul staff. The vehicle I rented was fine. ??

No reason the inside cab of the vehicle should be this dirty. I have rented plenty of cargo vans in the past and never remembered them being so filthy. You should take 10 minutes after receiving a vehicle back and clean them. The van doesn't look like it has ever been cleaned.

The location on both ends ( pick up and drop off ) where fine. The service at the 866 number sucks . Three times in the last month I’ve rented a truck and every time I used the 866 reservation number I had nothing less then a run around . Very poor service from a big company very poor . If anyone really wants to call me I would be happy to explain. But the way I was treated I would not hold my breath. Next time I will use a company that is a little easier to work with. Thank and I’m not using U-Haul again

I had to reschedule my pickup day due to weather. They we very accommodating. This is my fifth or sixth time I have reserved a truck I will use them again next year.

I made many moves over the last1-1/2,and Brian has waited on me every time. It’s like a one-man show. He works so hard with lines of people and doesn’t rush anyone. The pick up locations and drop off location are always a good experience. The issue I have is trying to get the vehicle at the closest location . When I have to call for help other then the pick up location I get little to no help . Not very user friendly and not very understanding . I have one more trip coming up and hope I never have to call for assistance again Thanks

The employee I dealt with was very friendly. However I phoned them in the morning to tell them I would be late. He said ok and thanked me for informing them. I was not told I would be charged an extra day for dropping off later in the day - this was told to me when I dropped it off. The employee was helpful but it seems like maybe a company policy he had no control of. I did not leave happy having to spend another days worth and did not know. I would have simply picked up the uhual later in the day yesterday. I left feeling I lost $60.

The person that took care of my rental I believe his name is Brain did a great job. This is the second time I have rented there and would go back again no question. If it is not broken don’t fix it I believe is what they say.

The cab was not cleaned properly. I had a Snapple bottle roll forward under my pedals during the drive which was scary. Everything worked out though. People there are friendly and helpful.

the home office entered the transaction several times, with annoying text messages. They changed the time of the pickup from 7am to 10am. The local manager said that would change back to 7am. Home office (HO) then changed the pickup location to Herkimer, about 20-25 miles away from my local location. ? Why? I had to contact the local manager again and he changed the location back to the original location. Why did the HO change it if a change was not necessitated??? Triple crown earned, HO contacted me again. AGAIN, and changed the drop off location to a new site. I had no idea where this new site was. I had to contact the local manager again, AGAIN, to complain about that. He told me where it was, and since I actually learned where it was and it was only 4-5 blocks away from where I was going to drop it off originally, I rolled with the punches and actually dropped it off at that new location. HO continually tried to screw things up. I have had success with UHaul before and went to you first and scheduled the rental without going anywhere else. When Herkimer was scheduled for the drop off (2 days before the date) you don't know how close you came to losing the sale to another moving company. I stopped in to see the local UHaul manager and he immediately changed the pickup location back to his location. The miscommunication of the HO should be examined and terminated. They are counter productive to client service. That was a major negative in the whole experience. 2 days prior to my scheduled moving date, they injected concern on my part over a trucks availability (and they almost totally screwed up the local office sale). Once HO was eliminated from the process, everything went perfectly.
