Farah H.The staff was just fine. The truck was just old. Lights were terrible for driving at night, to include dashboard lights. I couldn't even see the gear shift indication on the dashboard as the light was out. Wipers didn't do a good job when it rained. You couldn't even link one's phone to the radio via bluetooth! That's a tremendous safety feature lacking in itself!

Ishmila W.Ubox was the biggest headache at every turn. I would spend the extra and use PODS to do over again. Moving is stressful enough. 1) I booked online for Bladensburg Road. Without calling me, Uhaul transferred the rental to South Capitol. I only learned of this transfer (and the later transfers) by checking my account online. 2) After confirming 3 days prior to loading at the South Capitol location, again without telling me, they transferred my box reservation to Upper Marlboro. I had to pay my movers for extra travel time because we only planned a within DC move. Uhaul did not reimburse the additional costs for transferring the reservation without my consent or notice. 3) I only used 2 boxes although I ordered 3. Michael at Upper Marlboro kindly refunded the rental cost for the box but could not update the delivery info in the system. So when my 2 boxes arrived in Denver, they charged me an additional $700 for delivery of the third box I never used. Getting a refund seems impossible as I've emailed the local office, called corporate, and I'm still looking at the full cost on my credit card. I'm expecting the worst when I go to actually retrieve my personal belongings from the boxes and can only hope they have not lost them or confused them with someone else's belongings. It has been a nightmare.

Todd S.I ordered a dolly, which was not there. The car's dash stated it had a tire inflation issue. While the vehicle performed fine, this gave me concerns and no representative gave me a heads up on this. Also, it took a long term to pick up the vehicle.

Gregory F.Ubox do not hold as much as advertised. Each box do not hold a one bedroom apartment. Most apartments have living and dining room sets. One Ubox does not hold that much.

Henry A.Completed online reservation and was contacted afterwards that the pickup/drop off location was changed. This added 34 miles and about $48 ($1 per mile + 3 gallons of gas) in additional charges. I proposed $10 credit for the inconvenience and costs and was declined. Bit of a downer on their location change after the reservation was finalized, not to mention that my $100 rental ballooned to $150.

Darryl D.Fix the uhaul website so that you can only book a specific size truck based on true availably at a location. I tried to get a 20 ft truck in one location and the website let me book. Later that night they transferred me to a different location. Called that location two days prior to moving and they didn't have the truck. Had to go to a site 20 miles away. More accurate information would benefit everyone

ROBERT L.Got charged a cleaning fee for no reason at all The website kept saying I didn't have a reservation and I did .It kept doing that when I picked up vehicle and when I dropped it off .The loading area of truck on the inside WAS GREASY.It was like someone poured motor oil on the floor .Me and my son both slipped and fell a couple of times in the truck . I will be contacting corporate over a discount or refund .Imagine while you are moving and you and your helpers keep falling because of the inside of the truck feeling like a skating rink Not happy at all

I was an old customer with Capital Beltway for years and was very happy with them, had a nice spacious unit and very affordable I had to give up when uhaul took over. Don't like that I have to call 24 hours in advance to access my storage that's ridiculous. Not happy and looking for better options.

GAIL S.The technical person there Philip Herbig did not take a picture that I'm aware of of the back of the vehicle after he connected it in a way that I've never had it connected before you never run the chains through the bar on the hitch he just hooked the hook piece into it and put the rubber pieces on it if that gets wet that would pop loose he needs to be retrained on how to hook a vehicle up. I didn't notice it until I brought the trailer back I I'm formed another technician when I brought it back that this is how it's hooked and that is not correct I've never had it hooked that way in any of the years I've been to any U-Haul.

Rhonda S. | First ImpressionsWhen I arrived, I was informed that reserving a unit online doesn't actually reserve a unit and thus they could not guarantee that they had an open unit of the size and pull-up access that I had requested. They did ultimately have a unit, but I had to wait for around 20 minutes while they checked. They also told me that I could not use my debit card to make recurring auto payments and that I would need to call in to pay my unit rent.
