This location attempted to claim the fuel was at 3/16 of a tank and charge us an additional fuel charge of $10.62 and a $30 service charge. However we had a picture of the dash at drop off (I can supply this if needed) that clearly showed we had left it with 1/4 tank (or more) and both the vehicle ID and mileage matched the vehicle. Jon then claimed they filled the truck to 1/4 tank as they could not let it leave below 1/4 tank and when I asked how many gallons it took he said 2.49 gallons but when asked to send us the fuel receipt and picture of the gas gauge, he claimed that the truck already left by 9am the same day and it was not possible to take a picture. He then contradicted himself and said they had to give the customer a fuel credit because it was less than 1/4 tank after stating they had added fuel to the truck. Jon was very unprofessional and was accusatory or made excuses that made no sense such as “oh, somebody must have siphoned a gallon or two after drop off”. Here is the copy of his initial email response when questioned prior to calling me. “ The truck was just under 1/4 tank when I checked it in. I understand that multiple things can change perspective or the situation. This is why we request that an after hours drop off goes through the night drop procedure in your contract. I will refund the fuel charges assuming that your camera angle was dead on and that someone siphoned fuel after you dropped it off. Jon Lenker Gm Twin Falls U-Haul Moving and Storage ” This email struck me as a bit odd and his call only served to confirm my initial impressions. As I told Jon, we need to rent 3 more moving trucks to complete our move...needless to say if we rent a Uhaul (undecided are this time as we need to explore our options) we definitely will not be returning it at that location.

The crew at UHaul in Twin Falls are a wonderful team; always courteous and knowledgeable, and perform well when under pressure. For instance, when there are numerous customers, they are able tactfully to care for everyone's needs while letting folks know they are working to get to each waiting customer.

I submitted a complaint to the CFPB regarding the excessive charges on my bank account, and the fact that I have spoken to the manager/owner twice and I keep getting the excuse of “it’s the banks fault.” Screen shots showing transaction over the last two days, since the Uhaul was returned, history and a receipt tell a completely different story.

I reserved a truck for 1 PM. When I arrived early to do paperwork, I was told it was due back at 1 PM and there was no way of knowing if it would be back in 10 minutes. They gave me a bigger truck at the same price but it was more difficult to maneuver. Moving day is stressful and I didn't have time to wait to see if the previous renters would be back and the truck was in good condition. That kind of scheduling passes problems on to the customers who are not told their reservation is not accurate.

lazy moronic staff, could hardly attach the ball hitch UNTIL I OILED IT MYSELF. on top of that, I supposed to pick the trailer up in Hailey or Bellevue, instead I had to drive over 4 hours (round trip) to get the trailer.. missing a days work & they only took off $100, I nearly spent that in gas to drive to get it , let alone missing a days worth of work. The incompetent people at Uhaul cost me $400 in lost wages/gas.

I went to this location after trying to rent at a location in Burley, Idaho. The location at Danny's brake was not very friendly for the second time--stating my U-Haul guy went to the doctor and he'll be back "whenever". 1st visit was worse. went on a Thursday and was told in an angry voice that U-Haul was closed until Tuesday.

For some reason, when online reservations are made, the place that ships parts to the pickup location can’t get their act together. Customers can’t get their parts when needed, and it screws up everything for the crew AND customers at pickup. Brian D. did everything humanly possible, far above and beyond, to make sure he could correct the mistake. I wasn’t the only customer with this issue, either. The crew at your Twin Falls location is INCREDIBLE, going far beyond the call of duty to ensure people can adhere to their move plan, from the floor clerk, to the installer, to the manager. Outstanding crew, despite the inability of the upper echelon’s inability to follow through. Highly impressed with their knowledge, teamwork, and ability to, “Make it happen”.

I rented a truck and appreciated the availability of the equipment. The truck I rented was not filled all the way. I explained that to the attendant when I returned it and showed him a copy of my gas receipt. I’d have had to drive nearly 45 miles to use the amount of gas I put in the truck not the 14 I drove. The man blew me off and still charged me the full rate. He came across as callus and that he couldn’t care less about the customer. Not impressed!

Make sure your online rental system is updated. I went to the location to pick up the rental and they said they didn’t have a working unit. This had to be know before I drove there. It was a waste of my time and gas. I was referred to another location and nobody offered to compensate through discount of any kind. Then I was forced to purchase an adaptor just to be allowed to drive away. It was not a pleasant experience. Why should it be, the plan is to move away from friendly staff and use online processing as much as possible. Humans have no incentive to go the extra mile.
